Chapter 307 - Fall for me

Locking her in that room was not the last of it. Han Taehyun had rescued her from there before things had gotten serious, and she ended up suffering from hypothermia.

When Jinhee was taking a stroll in the garden after she had considerably recovered, she found herself being cornered by various maids. Beside her stood her maid, Areum.

Narrowing her eyes at the crowd beside her, Lee Jinhee turned her head, and Areum stood before her— protectively spreading her arms before Jinhee.

"What do all of you want?" Areum questioned.

That is when, two of the maids moved back, giving space for someone to walk through. Raising her head, Jinhee attempted to see who that person was.

"Kwon Youngmi," Jinhee enunciated.

Kwon Youngmi was the favoured daughter of the Prime Minister, and the power she possessed was something neither her or Jaehyun could question. The Prime Minister was Jaehyun's biggest backer, and without his support, he would not be able to fight against the other Princes.

"Is there anything you need?" Jinhee asked politely. 

Although the girl seemed innocent and harmless, there was something about her that did not sit well with her. She could not exactly pinpoint what it was. Nonetheless, she wanted to stay as far as possible from Kwon Youngmi.

The two of them barely talked to each other, and at times, Jinhee found Youngmi glancing at her. Giving off an ominous feeling to Jinhee, and this confrontation made Jinhee nervous.

What could Youngmi need from her? Why would Youngmi be cornering her into such a place? There was definitely something wrong with this.

Looking around at her surroundings, Jinhee could see that there was no one else around her, and she had an inkling that it was because of Youngmi. 

Clenching her hand into a tight fist, Jinhee prevented herself from getting a panic attack. Lee Jinhee had been bullied for her entire life, and seeing Youngmi's expression, she had an inkling as to what it could be.

"Lee Jinhee," she enunciated, "Honestly, you are so plain looking. Every time I see your face, it makes me angry. How can someone who looks as boring as you be able to capture the heart of Jaehyun? What methods have you used to seduce him?"

Kwon Youngmi walked closer to Jinhee, and Jinhee took a step back. Lee Jinhee could tell that Areum was frightened as well and was shivering.

Lee Jinhee had a clue on how Youngmi had feelings for Jaehyun. But she did not take her to belong to one of the psychopaths.

"I don't know what you are talking about," Jinhee voiced out— her tone holding nervousness. 

Two of Youngmi's maids that had cornered her moved forward, and held both of Areum's hands. Despite Areum's resistance, they managed to pullher back.

One of them placed their palm on top of Areum's face in order to prevent her from screaming, and tears collected within Areum's eyes, falling down, while she struggled to call for help. Her voice came out muffled, and it was barely loud.

"Oh, my, my! Are you pretending to be innocent now? Is this how you have seduced Jaehyun, You Bitch!? Do you know how badly I crave to destroy you?" Youngmi vocalised as she made her steps towards Jinhee. 

"I have no interest in hearing you talking about nonsense, and there are some important matters for me to deal with. Whatever you want to talk to me about, let's do it later on," Jinhee asserted.

Kwon Youngmi wore a smile on her face as she extended her hand towards Jinhee, and seeing that, Jinhee turned her head to look at the other direction.

Youngmi furrowed her eyebrows at that, and putting her strength into holding Jinhee's jaw, she turned her face in her direction.

"Look at me when I am talking to you, and there is no use in crying for help. You very well know that no one is able to rescue you from me, not even Kim Jaehyun. You don't think that you are that important to him," Youngmi vocalised.

"I will not be staying with Jaehyun. You are misunderstanding the entire situation. After the festival, I will be going to Han Taehyun's kingdom, and then, you can have whatever you want with Jaehyun," she voiced out, hoping this would be calming Youngmi up.

Lee Jinhee was aware of how Youngmi was correct. Even if she loudly cried out for help, no one would be coming to her rescue because she was nothing compared to Kwon Youngmi.

Hearing those words from Jinhee's mouth caused Youngmi to push her back, and Lee Jinhee's body fell back. Two of the maids held her hand then secured Jinhee to her position.

Raising her head, Jinhee tried to struggle before giving up. The maids were too strong, and there was no use in fighting against them.

"Liar! You are a liar! I know that you are tricking me! Why will you be going when you have Jaehyun's heart with you? Even if you are going somewhere far, I can't let it pass through.

You deserve your punishment for being close to Jaehyun, and you know what, I even have strange thoughts on killing you. Maybe I should do that. After that, Jaehyun will definitely see me and fall in love with me. You are the obstacle that is ruining our relationship, and thus you deserve to be punished."

"You are crazy, Kwon Youngmi! Don't expect for Jaehyun to love someone like you. Even if you get me killed that would still not happen. Yes, using your power, you might get to be his wife. But that's it. You would not be able to get his heart," Jinhee stated.

Raising her hand, Youngmi connected her hand with Jinhee's cheeks, and the contact caused Jinhee to wince in pain. 

"Shut up, Bitch! Just shut up! You don't know Jaehyun! He will fall for me! I will make sure that he falls for me! Once I get you destroyed, he will finally fall for me. You are ruining everything for us!"
