Chapter 32: Chapter 32 – Jealous Mary
While Feng stood in shock, Little Elle and the twins came to her rescue. The little girl stood in front of her, glaring up at the young man. “I heard your name is Sire Yu, right? Why do you keep chasing my Meimei? Can’t you see she is uncomfortable by your attention?”
“Rightly said, she is trembling just standing in front of you,” Aiden said with a worried pout.
Ethan glared at Yubiri. “Sire, our Feng does not need your attention, nor does she need your apology. Please get out of sights,”
“Ethan, that’s not how you say it. Say it like a gentleman.” Elle glanced up at Yubiri. “We don’t want to see your ever again, sire. Its goodbye forever,” she said, correcting Ethan’s words. She confidently pulled Feng behind her and left.
Feng on the other hand was stunned. She never expected to be protected by three kids at all. Caressing her aching head, she walked slowly. “Thank you guys.... but you shouldn’t have... that man, he is dangerous. That’s the only reason that I was cordial to him. Now I think we might have thoroughly angered him,” she sighed.
Elle hugged her waist tightly. “You have our family behind you, Meimei. Why do you fret so much? I can protect you well from these pests.” She confidently whispered.
Ethan and Aiden hugged her as well. “We can’t beat her family’s power, but we will protect you with our own power Feng,” the twins said simultaneously.
.....
Feng smiled a little. She hugged them all tightly and chuckled loudly. “I guess I am very much loved.” In her last life these kind of situation as so normal to her. She used her own power to confront people. No one stood next to her.
But in this game world, she had three little carrot heads to support her. This made her very happy. But her happiness did not last. ‘This is a game..... Is this even real?’
She glanced around. Everything was normal and in 3d. Sighing, she glanced at the game notification that only she could see.
‘Maybe I am the only player. What if I have to leave this world... what will happen to them?’ she worriedly glanced at the kids clinging to her. Soon she snapped out her dark thoughts. ‘I have already died once. What’s wrong with this world? I will live her contently until I need to.’
Smiling a little, Feng walked around with the kids happily.
Unknown to her, a small narrowed eye peered at her with envy. “Why does sire Yu talk to her so happily,” the blond girl whispered angrily.
“Maybe she is more interesting than you are, Mary” her so-called friends mocked her.
High society, a place where people’s words are coated with honey, but secretly they are ready to push each other into snake pits.
Mary knew of this, but she could not handle her ego being bruised like this. She adjusted her clothes and confidently walked over to sire Yu with a wide smile. “sire Yu, what a coincidence. I never knew that you were fond of morning walks as well,” she said with a dazzling smile.
Yubiri gave her a blank stare. ‘is that fear I saw in her eyes.... Feng fears me? Why? I dint do anything..... I just...’
“Sire,” a soft hand held his.
Yubiri immediately flung it away. “Miss Mary, keep your distance please,” he said with his brows scrunched up. Without waiting for her reply, he left in the other direction Feng went off to.
Mary who was left alone clenched her skirt tightly, tight enough to leave creases on it. She glared at his back with tears swimming in her eyes. It was clear disgust she saw in his eyes. His kind eyes turned fierce in a second.
Her friend’s group walked over to her. “Oh Miss Mary, who knew this day would come. Maybe your charm has reduced.” One of them mockingly laughed at her and left.
Mary gritted her teeth and glared at their backs. ‘Who are they to talk to me like that? Those ugly mugs.’ She glanced around and saw Feng laughing happily with the kids. ‘It’s all because of her.’
She stomped over to her. Controlling her expression, she walked out to her.
Feng glanced to the side to see a smiling girl. But after years of experience she could clearly see the dislike in that girl’s eyes. Yet she kindly stopped and greeted her. “What is it, miss?”
“I need to talk to you alone,” she said curtly.
“But the kids....” Feng awkwardly glanced at the three pairs of eyes peering up at her with a pout.
“Leave them be,” the lady moved closer to Feng’s ear. “If you don’t want them to hear profanities you better come alone with me,”
Feng sighed loudly. ‘This is definitely troublesome.’ She told the kids to wait for her and followed the lady.
