Chapter 33: Chapter 33 – Drowned and Rescued
The young aristocratic lady looked at her up and down. Her sharp eyes shone with distain.
Feng smiled even so. ‘This girl is definitely troublesome, but how the hell did I offend her?’ she thought. “Miss, what is it that you wanted to talk about?”
The young lady’s eyes suddenly turned red. “you..... you filthy rat, how dare you get close to him,” she said, gritting her teeth. A pleasant smile still on her face as she spoke profanities to her.
Feng’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Who might you be talking about, miss?”
“You know who. You group of filthy rats should have drowned in eths sea. Rather, here you are treated like a lady, wearing pretty dresses that you don’t own,” the young lady took out her small folded fan. She spread it out and slightly swung it at her.
By instinct, Feng dodged it. The fan sliced slightly through the frills in her neckline. ‘That is a knife!! Goodness, what the fuck is this girl thinking, attacking me in daylight.’ She soothed her pounding heart. “Miss, I think you might have misunderstood something.”
“Misunderstood, did I now? I see you swaying you little ass at him every day. You think I misunderstood,” she growled a little.
.....
Feng slightly stepped back. ‘Lady, I am a ten-year-old now. My lanky body barely has any flesh. What the hell was swaying to whom?’ she blinked innocently. “I have no intentions of doing so and I have no interest in this particular man you are talking about,”
The young lady smiled widened. “Oh, is that so?” she fanned herself. “I think not, I see mister you hanging around you every day. I don’t know what kind of magic spell you cast on him, you better remove it. He is mine!! Mine alone!!” she exclaimed with her eyes subtly wide. Her smiling lips turned into a deep frown.
Feng finally realised who she was talking about. ‘oh it was about Yubiri, huh? That guy I knew he was trouble when he walked in.... I guess this is what happens when I get involved with the main leads of this game. Unwanted attention from the likes of her,’ she glanced up at the young lady. She looked barely fifteen, yet she was so malicious. ‘If I were the female lead, I would have to deal with this shit every day. Thank the gods I am not,’ she sighed.
“What are you looking at you rat?”
“I was just admiring your beauty, young lady. As for sire Yu, you can have him all to yourself. I don’t have any intentions for him,” Feng said and stepped past her. But the young lady suddenly griped her forearm tightly.
“Who are you to give me permission, you filthy rat! Just .... die!!” the young lady pushed her forcefully.
Feng did not expect this move at all. She stumbled back and stepped on the back of her skirt. Her world was tipping, but the worst thing was she was standing right next to the railing. As she tripped, she fell out off of the ship.
In slow motion she watched as the blue sky becoming distant and the sound of raging ocean getting close. ‘Shit,’
The turbulent waves swallowed her up.
Ethan and Aiden, who were watching all this, froze for a spilt second. They watched her fall down....
“FENG!!!” Ethan shouted and ran to the railing. He was only able to see the waves. His heart pounded loudly. He tightly gripped the railing and climbed over it. His powers that were like a sleeping tiger arose to his call.
Little Elle gripped the back of his shirt and sobbingly shook her head. Ethan wanted to fling her and jump off, but Aiden silently reminded him not to. His raging powers went out of control. His small green eyes slowly turned slightly purple with a hue of blue in the middle.
“She is not coming up for air!!!” Aiden shouted loudly. “What do we do... what..” he glanced at his brother, who was glowing purple. The clear sky in a split second became grey, and thunder flashed across. ‘I-I must awaken my powers too,’ he closed his eyes. He felt the force around and concentrated on his element. ‘Ice is a part of water and water is part of ice. Come forth my powers,’
The air became cold and small snowflakes floated whimsical around him.
Ethan glanced at him. “Get her,”
Aiden frowned. With his hands outstretched he tried to summon his powers to freeze the ocean, but the raging sea was making it too difficult. “My powers are just awakened. I can’t freeze anything that is moving so fast,”
“Then let the waters rest,” Ethan said, peering at the turbulent waves. The ocean suddenly regained its calm. “I sense her a few feet away, I will bring her up. You pull her over,”
“Hmm,” Aiden completely concentrated on his task.
Ethan moved the water slowly and brought up the unconscious Feng. “Now,”
A huge frozen hand gently held Feng in its grip. It froze and elongated from the bottom, slowly bringing her up to the deck.
Ethan immediately jumped on it and brought Feng out. “she....she is not breathing!!”
“Bring her here,” Aiden cleared a spot on the floor.
Ethan gently placed her down. “You,” he glanced at Elle. “Come here,”
The sobbing little girl tottered to them. “I-is... Meimei dead? Like mommy and daddy?”
Ethan glared at her and pulled her down to her knees next to Feng. “She will be if you don’t help,”
The girl immediately wiped her tears away. “What.... to do?”
Aiden climbed over Feng and started chest compressions. “You have to give her artificial supply of air. Just put your mouth on hers and breath,”
Elle nodded. She wiped the snot from her lips and got closer to Feng. “H-how.”
“Just...” Ethan was losing his patience. He pushed her away and got close to Feng. “Sorry Feng, it is the only way,” He opened her mouth wide and breathed in a wide mouthful of air. He kept doing so until he felt her move below him. “Lay her to the side,”
Aiden pulled her and made sure she was lying down on the side with her hands propped unto her head. This keeps the water from choking her again.
Feng coughed out a few mouthfuls of water. Through her hazy gaze she saw three carrot heads peering at her worriedly. “I....I am fine,” she hoarsely said.
“You... you stupid,” Ethan hugged her gently.
Aiden followed suit and Elle did the same.
