Chapter 1158: Sea witches (1)
When he said it this seriously, I couldn't help being taken aback.
After all, this was completely different from the Aquaron that I had known up until now. This seemed like a completely different god than the one that I had been talking to...
However, I could feel the seriousness that was in his voice and it affected me as well.
It seemed that there was more to this situation than I thought.
As for Aquaron himself...Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Well, I didn't really have much hope for him.
As if he was done with me, Aquaron suddenly raised his trident and pointed it at me before saying, "Alright, it's time for you to go back. I hope that you will keep my words in mind."
Then in a less serious voice, he said, "I've even given you one of my favourites, so you better not let it down."
Before I could say anything, there was this flash of light that appeared in front of my eyes and the scene in front of me disappeared.
After he disappeared, Aquaron suddenly turned around and seemed to look into empty space before suddenly saying with a sigh, "Is there a reason to hide like that?"
There was a moment of silence before ripples appeared in that space and another figure of light appeared.
If Zwein was still here, he would have recognized this figure of light since it was the one that he had seen the most.
It was Solista.
She didn't seem to say anything as she just floated there in silence for a bit, but then she suddenly said, "Did you really have to act like that? You didn't need to pretend to be a frivolous young master, did you, big brother?"
A chuckle rang out before Aquaron said, "It's better to give him all kinds of different experiences or else he might pick up on something. It's better that we do all that we can to keep him in the dark until the time is right."
Solista seemed like she was agonizing over something, but she eventually said with a sigh, "I know, but..."
When I calmed down a bit, I saw that I wasn't the only one that was surprised by the fact that the door opened on its own.
There were still people that were standing outside and they all had looks of shock on their faces as they looked at me.
Seeing them act this way made an awkward expression appear on my face.
But I sucked it up and pretended like I didn't see anything as I made my way through the crowd. I walked over to the Merman King's group who had been waiting there for me the entire time.
When I came over, I asked them, "How long was I in there?"
They didn't respond as they looked at me with the same shocked look.
So I just snapped my fingers in front of them to get their attention.
When they slowly came back to their senses, the Merman King took out some kind of shell that was similar to a pocket watch and looked at it for a bit before saying, "Just a few
minutes."
I wasn't surprised to hear this.
Even though it felt like I had spent a long time in the private domain of Aquaron, not that much time had passed out here. After all, the rules of the universe didn't really apply when it
came to gods.
With a nod, I asked, "Is there a place to talk in private? There's something that I want to talk to you about."
The Merman King was once again surprised to hear this, but then he gave a serious nod. Though the priests and nuns seemed like they wanted to talk to me, the Merman King's group kept them back and we headed away from the temple.
It didn't take long for us to arrive in a bright and beautiful palace that was made of coral.
This was the castle of the Merman King.
When we were in a private room, I spoke before he could, "What do you know about the sea witches?"
