Chapter 106 - "Mr. Luo Xiu is an angel, not an awful man." (1)
Entertainment in the mountains was very lacking compared to a city. The production crew had already been holed up here for over a month and those who had been here the entire time were about to go out of their minds.
The birthday party turned into a night of mad fun for everyone. Whether the host and the special guest were there or not would not dampen their desire to drink till they drop.
The crazy night lasted into the wee hours of the night.
Exactly as Luo Xiu had said, by the time Gu Nian had their ride arranged and gotten Jiang Xiaoqing back, it was the middle of the night.
Gu Nian carried the half confused and half awake Jiang Xiaoqing to the basin by their room to wash them and then carried her back to her bed.
“Get into bed. Sleep.” Gu Nian yawned with her eyes lowered as she looked at Jiang Xiaoqing expressionlessly.
Jiang Xiaoqing held on tight to the bed post and her other hand holding onto the collar of her shirt, “What are you trying to do to me?”
Gu Nian, “… …”
Gu Nian was so tired that she Wushuang numb and was not in the mood to mess around with Jiang Xiaoqing. She pulled open the blanket and shoved the struggling Jiang Xiaoqing inside of it.
A drunk person was always exceptionally strong.
Gu Nian wasn’t able to subdue Jiang Xiaoqing and Jiang Xiaoqing tugged her strongly and Gu Nian’s wrist hit the headboard of the bed.
BANG!
It made a loud noise in the middle of the night.
Gu Nian paused.
Jiang Xiaoqing, too, stiffened and looked up innocently.
The girl with the pretty face, standing next to bed, still looked languid and emotionless. She looked down at her wrist that was visibly quickly turning red even under the moonlight.
Jiang Xiaoqing shuddered and regained some consciousness from her drunkenness.
“Gu Nian, I, I… …”
Gu Nian sighed and stroked her on her head. “Be good. Go to bed.”
Jiang Xiaoqing paused for a little and recollected herself. Kneeling in bed, she threw herself into Gu Nian’s arms. “Wu wu wu wu. I know our Gu Nian is the nicest. I want to sleep with yoooou -- --”
Before she was even done talking, she noticed that the paw that was stroking her gently on her head paused.
Then it started getting heavier and heavier.
Jiang Xiaoqing paused again and looked up carefully. She saw a pair of empty dark eyes and an expressionless pretty face with long hair.
Jiang Xiaoqing, “! !”
Gu Nian’s hand maintained where it was. Leaning down, her look numbed. “Be a good girl and go to bed -- before I will make sure that you will never wake up again.”
“… …”
Jiang Xiaoqing pulled herself under the blanket in lightning speed.
Gu Nian, looking lazy, took a few steps as though she was sleep walking and collapsed onto her own bed.
She slept all the way to almost daylight.
“Gu Nian! Xiaoqing! Wake up! We are going to be late for realz if you don’t wake up soon!”
“… …”
The voice sounded almost demonic.
After a struggle between her willpower and laziness and both sustaining horrible damages, Gu Nian finally struggled to poke her head out from under her blanket. Her deer eyes still sleepy.
She struggled greatly to keep her eyes open and looked around the room.
Qin Yuanyuan was standing next to the bed anxiously and doing her best to pull the half-dead Jiang Xiaoqing out of bed. “Wake up, Xiaoqing. I need you out of bed now!”
Gu Nian rubbed her eyes and got up. “What’s going on, Yuanyuan?”
“The production team notified us very last minute and have us meet them at the conference room for a meeting by 8 AM!” Qin Yuanyuan turned around when she got a quick moment and quickly turned back and refocused on dragging Jiang Xiaoqing out of bed.
“I’m not going!” Jiang Xiaoqing hugged the bed post as she cried. She grumbled as though she was talking in her sleep. “Whoever that want to go can be my guest. I just got back in the middle of the night. This is too early… I want to sleep more…”
Her voice got softer and softer.
Qin Yuanyuan got tired of dragging her. As soon as she let go of her, the one in bed balled herself back up in her blanket in no time flat.
All the hard work before that point was wasted.
Qin Yuanyuan, “… …”
