Both Feng Xinyi and Hong Shi were walking through the large corridor.
Looking at Hong Shi, Feng Xinyi spoke "Do you remember the Northern Pearl town we went for Phoenix Sovereign Inheritance?
Hong Shi's brow furrowed slightly as she nodded. "Yeah, I remember. What about it?"
"Hmm... I heard some unsettling news. Apparently, a large-scale beast tide has struck that city."
Hong Shi let out a soft sigh, the weight of concern settling on her shoulders. "That city is small, and the sects there are weak. They can't handle a beast tide of that magnitude."
Feng Xinyi's expression shifted, a wry smile surfacing as she asked, "How many casualties do you think there were?"
Hong Shi's eyes narrowed in anticipation. "I can't even imagine. How bad was it?"
"Zero casualties," Feng Xinyi replied, her tone laced with disbelief.
Hong Shi's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Huh? How is that possible, Xinyi?"
"We even killed some important people in the most powerful sect in that city for that woman who got the Phoenix Sovereign Inheritance."
"Hmm.. did the reinforcements in the capital come there?"
With a shake of her head, Feng Xinyi replied "No, it is actually done by two people.. there was even a King Profound Stage beast in the Beast tide.. along with three Venerate porofoudn Stage beasts."
Huh?
Hong Shi was startled to hear this and her gaze condensed "Someone that powerful was in the small town? How did they clear the tide?"
With a nod, Feng Xinyi replied "Apparently, there was the new Sword Saint in the town at that time.. Jin Wei of Haoshaku Empire."
Hong Shi rolled her eyes in amusement "Hmm.. a Sword Saint heh.. and who is the other one?"
With a nod, Feng Xinyi replied "A Taoist..."
Hong Shi quirked an eyebrow "A Taosit...?"
Feng Xinyi couldn't help but chuckle "According to the description.. I am sure it is Master Yuan, if it was him... he is capable of killing the King profound Stage beast?"
HUH?
Hong Shi's eyes darkened and she hurriedly grabbed the sleeve near the neck of Feng Xinyi's robe and pushed her to the nearby wall.
*thud* "What?" Feng Xinyu was startled by her sudden aggressiveness and glanced at Hiong Shi in surprise "Shi'er?"
Hong Shi's gaze narrowed as she looked at Feng Xinyi, her grip tightening on her robes "What did you say just now?"
Huh? Totally confused by her cold eyes, Feng Xinyi fumbled on her words "Eh? You mean.. King Profound stage bea-"
Hong Shi shook her head and spoke sharply "I don't give a fuck about that beast.. what was his name?"
Um? Feng Xinyi was even more confused and muttered "M-Master Yuan?"
Hong Shi's grip on her neck got tighter and her eyes condensed "How do you know him?"
Feng Xinyi blinked her eyes and muttered "Because I saw him.. when I went to the Northern Pearl town."
What?
Hong Shi's eyes shrank in shock and she hastily asked "Did you speak with him? How does he look like? tell me..."
Feng Xinyi continued "And you even helped her by killing that Sect people.. By the way, Shi'er.. why are you so interested about master Yuan."
"Have you met him before?"
Hong Shi didn't heed her words and her pace quickened as she walked through the corridor "We are leaving to the Norther Pearl town now."
Feng Xinyi was dumbfounded to hear this "What the hell? Now?"
With a firm nod, Qian Shi replied "Yeah.. we are going there now."
But Feng Xinyi grabbed her hand and stopped her "Wait, you can't leave the Yu Hon1g holy land for the next three months."
"Did you forgot the Continental genius tournament is coming."
"So, within this time period.. you can't leave the Yu Hong Holy Land."
...
The Royal Carriage, adorned with intricate gold and crimson patterns, rumbled gently as it rolled to a halt in the heart of Northern Pearl Town.
As the door to the carriage swung open, Zhang Yuan stepped out first as he glanced back into the carriage and extended a hand, waiting for the others.
Ming Yuelin was the first to come outside.
She smiled playfully as she took Zhang Yuan's hand but didn't step down in the usual manner.
Instead, with a mischievous glint in her eye, she jumped into his arms with grace, catching him by surprise.
"Master, catch me!" she giggled, wrapping her arms around his neck.
He stumbled back for a moment but quickly regained his balance, effortlessly holding her in his arms.
His lips twitched into a soft smile. "You've grown far too used to this, Lin'er," he teased, but there was warmth in his voice.
"I like it when you carry me," she grinned, not making any effort to get down immediately.
From inside the carriage, Jin Wei rolled her eyes, leaning forward with her usual cool expression. "Yuelin, if you're done playing around, some of us would also like to get down."
"Fine, fine," Ming Yuelin said, hopping down lightly with a satisfied smirk.
She gave a playful wave toward Jin Wei as she brushed a strand of her hair back.
Next, Xue Hua poked her head out of the carriage, a soft breeze ruffling her hair as she smiled politely at Zhang Yuan.
Unlike Ming Yuelin, she chose a more graceful descent, stepping carefully down with his help.
"Thank you, Master," Xue Hua said softly, her voice like the gentle chime of a bell.
And one by one, Zhang Yuan helped everyone to hop off from the carriage.
After getting them down, the carriage moved slowly preparing to return to the Northern bei kingdom.
Ming Yuelin stretched her arms above her head "Let's go.. I am quite tired."
However, at this time, Zhang Yuan glanced at the silver-haired woman standing in front of him on the alley and smiled dryly.
'Well, fuck... She is here.'
