A few days passed until the old merchant with whom Jaden had traded the Mana stones found an adequate mercenary, who was willing to transport the mana stones inside the Glacia kingdom.
It was quite hard to find suitable mercenaries, who were strong, willing to do a soul contract, and not otherworldly expensive.
This gave Kyle and the others enough time to finish creating their Wings of Ilusia. The Wings of Ilusia were necessary so that their group could follow the Mercenary, whose cultivation had already reached the Acerta stage.
They could fly in a straight line following the mercenary in the air, while the mercenary would have to run over the ground.
He didn't seem to have a mount, after all.
Kyle felt quite that they were quite lucky, and their lucky streak didn't seem to stop. It was no problem to follow the mercenary, who was quite relaxed. He didn't rush anywhere, and he was not extraordinarily wary about someone attacking him.
Three weeks, passed in the blink of an eye, and the mercenary arrived at the city he had been ordered to bring the spatial ring, whose content he had no idea about.
The spatial ring was brought to a shop, where the spatial ring was stored in a high-graded vault. Afterward, the mercenary was paid the remaining money before he left the shop once again.
"So that's it? Are we supposed to wait for the chubby merchant to enter the shop, and then we take him out…in the middle of the city's center?" Yasmine felt a little bit uncomfortable with the way Selene and Beatrice looked at the entrance of the shop.
It was almost as if they were ready to burst open the shop and tear apart everyone.
"Well, one of us could always stay guard, or we will lodge one of the flats opposite the shop. It's not like the alleys here are that big. But first of all, calm down everyone." Kyle slapped gently on the back of the head of Beatrice and Selene.
They regained their composure a moment later and looked over to Kyle with a confused complexion.
"I said calm down." He merely repeated the corner of his lip twitching. 'They will do something stupid…'
"I will take care of lodging a place." Jaden volunteered without hesitation before he rushed off.
"He will look at information as well, won't he?" Yasmine asked, not sure what to think about Jaden's behavior. Since he made the 'mistake' of trading the mana stones without knowing every single piece of information, Jaden was obsessed with getting to know every single piece of information before he would do something related to business.
"Yep, definitely." Selene just said, her expression still glued to the door of the shop ahead of them, ignoring Jaden for the time being.
Jaden wanted everyone to be up-to-date about everything new that happened because 'it may be important'. Jaden was right with that, but he overdid it.
He wanted to get some information about the city they had entered and the situation around. They didn't even know the name of the city they were in, and three weeks had passed since they heard information about the Thunderclaw kingdom's situation.
It was time for them to get updated.
"I will go as well. Who knows what trouble he will make when he asks for information." Yasmine suddenly said, following behind Jaden with quick steps.
"Somehow she acts like a mother when it is related to Jaden." Kyle suddenly said with a stern expression, the corners of his lips curling upward. Several cultivation stones appeared in his hand, and he began to play around with them, thinking about something.
"I will take a look, you guys can stay outside." He said while the cultivation stones in his hands disappeared once again. Kyle entered the shop, his nurture ability activated. His eyes were directed at the middle-aged woman, he sized her up for a moment before he turned his head away.
With smooth motions, he examined the goods on the shelves.
'These goods are good, but not exactly extremely valuable. Why did the merchant this shop to sell the mana stones?' Kyle wondered.
He ignored the brightly smiling assistant, who was clearly charmed by his handsomeness and the charm he executed and turned away.
When he returned, Aurora appeared in front of him.
"She looked at you as if she wanted to pounce at you at any moment!" Aurora screamed in excitement. She would love to see how the situation unfolded. However, when she noticed how the atmosphere around them tensed up, she turned in the direction of Beatrice and Selene.
"Noooooo!!" Aurora's voice turned thinner the longer she looked at the ferocious girls, and without a warning, she disappeared in the symbol on the back of Kyle's right hand.
'Scaredy-cat.' Kyle thought with a smile on his face before he lifted his hands trying to calm down the two women.
"She was just joking." He said with a faint smile before turning serious.
"Either way, the situation is not complicated. The shop is rather simple. There are good goods, but there is nothing that is especially valuable. I think that this shop is used to make it more difficult to trace where the mana stones came from." Kyle revealed uncertain,
"Why would they try to hide the fact that the mana stones came from the Anadra kingdom? That doesn't make sense." Selene was confused, and Kyle was of the exact same opinion.
"There should be a reason. Maybe the old man in Xira wants to stay anonymous because of some reason. But it shouldn't be that important for us to get to know more about his reasoning. We can go shopping a bit, while waiting for Jaden to return." Kyle was not that interested in the reasoning behind the old merchant's doing. He thought that there might be something important but it didn't seem to be the case.
Beatrice and Selene nodded their head hurriedly. Selene grasped Kyle's right arm without hesitation.
Beatrice saw Selene's straightforward action and with a seductive smile on her face, she grasped his left arm, her chest squeezing Kyle's arm.
She smirked at Selene and looked down at her chest before a victorious smile appeared on her face.
Selene's looked at Beatrice's bust, only to compare it with her own.
'Argh… I…' Sighing deeply, Selene knew that she actually lost against Beatrice in this sense. Beatrice had a much fuller bust than she had. Overall, her figure was perfect, which was something even Yasmine was jealous of.
It was almost as if Beatrice was the perfect role model of a perfect existence. Selene hadn't noticed this before because she hadn't minded it then. However, now that they seemed to have started to fight for Kyle's attention, Beatrice's inborn advantage was just too overwhelming!
"Girls, I cannot move prope-....well forget about that…" Kyle wanted to complain but when he noticed that both girls squeezed him with some strength behind, he quieted down. Their expressions told him to shut up and enjoy the show.
Kyle accepted this willingly afterward, and they went shopping.
They had more than enough money to shop for a few clothes and to buy all kinds of things. However, in the end, Beatrice only halted in front of monstrous weapons that could be used for torturing, while Selene didn't dare to buy anything because the price of the dresses was way too high.
She was too stingy to buy herself something they didn't actually need. Thus, they ended up window shopping.
When they returned to the same spot in the shopping alley as they had been before, Yasmine and Jaden had already returned.
Yasmine's expression soured upon seeing that both Selene and Beatrice had clinked their arm with Kyle's but she tried to ignore it as well as possible.
"I have lots of news about the Thunderclaw Kingdom, with most of them being related to the cruelty of the seventh prince, his open gatherings to negotiate peace with the Razgra kingdom, and the fact that the seventh prince has promised to provide his people with enough cultivation resources to fight back against anyone, who would dare to oppress the citizens of his kingdom.
Yes, he called it HIS kingdom." Yasmine smiled faintly while using her fire affinity to manifest two tiny flames to burn the bosom of Selene and Beatrice.
They squealed out in pain, let go of Kyle, and glared at Yasmine, who shrugged her shoulders, acting oblivious as her flames dispersed.
"So that's why the merchant used this inconspicuous shop. He already has someone to buy the mana stones, Looks like someone got a good offer." Beatrice said, her eyes gleaming as she knew what all this information meant.
"And we will see the chubby merchant or one of his people soon!" Kyle revealed, showing his white teeth as he began to smile brightly.
A green glow appeared around his emerald eyes as he internally added.
'Let the hunt begin!'
