Chapter 478: 472: Reception
There were some matters concerning WY that, although Finn Lewis didn’t have to decide on, he needed to be informed about. Fishy Wells took care of these matters. This was the first time Kay Lee had met Fishy Wells. As for the other person, that was Sarah Wood. Finn was at a loss for words as Sarah insisted on going with them.
She used the excuse that she was the agent, arguing that she should accompany them. Kay Lee was not there for business negotiations, so Finn didn’t understand why her agent needed to tag along. However, he didn’t want to oppose her outright, so he let her come along.
The private jet crew was already waiting on the plane. Kay Lee and Sarah Wood were quite familiar with the crew since they had flown on Finn’s private jet several times before to attend various events.
The plane flew directly from Celeston City to Hello City’s White Tower Airport. Finn didn’t explicitly notify the airport about the exact flight time, but the airport was certainly aware. Anytime a private jet flies to a domestic airport, the airport has to be notified in advance to coordinate management.
The two-hour-plus flight wasn’t that hard to bear. They watched a new movie in the onboard cinema, and before they knew it, the plane was landing at White Tower Airport. Finn’s private jet had full insulation, providing a much quieter ride than a regular flight, so the flight was quite comfortable.
As soon as the plane landed and the cabin door was opened, Finn saw several neat lines of cars waiting below. There were at least three to four dozen people waiting, including journalists and officials. Although Finn found this somewhat overwhelming, he couldn’t show any displeasure since this was all to welcome him.
Sarah Wood and Fishy Wells carefully took a couple of steps back. Kay Lee had plenty of experience dealing with such situations. She confidently linked arms with Finn and then walked down the boarding stairs with him. Finn couldn’t help but sigh at the sight – he felt like he was on a state visit. What treatment!
A group of leaders had come to meet Finn because he was planning to invest. One was called Adam Terry, and the other was Justin King.
Finn didn’t need to worry about this aspect. Since Jack Lewis had already given the heads up and they still dared to behave like this, they must have received instructions from above, so Finn didn’t fret about it.
“Then let’s go.” Finn opened the car door, extended his hand, and gestured for her to get in.
“Hold on, does this outfit look good? Is it too casual?” Kay Lee asked, looking down at herself.
“No big deal. My parents aren’t out of touch.” Finn said, struggling to hold in his laughter. Kay Lee’s outfit was leaning more towards formal wear. It was of the casual style, but it was still quite formal.
“Then... alright. But you have to keep your word, or I’ll beat you up.” Kay Lee’s face turned slightly red as she shook her small fist at Finn.
“No worries; I’m not fooling you. But I think they’ll probably be astonished once they see you,” Finn said with a smile.
“Why?” Kay Lee was somewhat nervous.
“Because they never imagined their son could bring a goddess home.” Finn replied laughingly.
“Stop it.” Kay Lee playfully punched him. Finn quickly reacted and caught her hand, reassuring her, “Okay, you are beautiful, you are perfect. There’s nothing to worry about.”
“Okay.” Drawing strength from Finn’s touch, Kay Lee nodded seriously.
After getting in the car, the convoy immediately started from the airport. As for entering and exiting the airport, Finn didn’t need to worry; Fishy Wells coordinated everything. What made Finn happy was that he finally managed to get rid of a certain third wheel – Sarah. She wisely checked into a hotel instead of tagging along to meet Kay Lee’s future mother-in-law.
