Chapter 311 - Loving It!

After half an hour of travel, the couple arrived home to Alex's mansion. The servant brought the luggage upstairs in Alex's bedroom.

"I will order the cook to prepare food for you, babe," Alex said.

"No need, I have already eaten dinner in the house before I left," Caroline said. She went to the bags, trying to sort her things.

Alex looked at her. "Why don't you rest for a while. I will ask the servant to help you arranged your things in the closet tomorrow morning," he suggested.

"No, I'll do it today," she insisted.

"Okay." Alex helped Caroline put her things above the bed so that's it's easier for her to get the things she wants. "I already emptied half of the closet. You can put your things there," he said. "If space is not enough we can add more closets so that you can have a nice wardrobe for your clothes and the baby," he suggested happily.

Caroline went to the closet and opened it. "No need looks like it's big enough already for my clothes and the baby," she answered.

"Okay, I'll help you put your things in the closet," he offered.

The couple went through Caroline's things and together they put them in the right places.

One hour later.

They finally cleared all the clutter above the bed.

Caroline sat on the bed.

"I already change the bed covers and the pillows as well the blankets," he said. "Just rest for a while, I'll have a glass of milk delivered by the maid here in our room," he said.

"What kind of milk?" she asked.

"Milk for pregnant women. I instructed the servant to buy a can of milk for you. There are also fresh fruits in the fridge. Do you want an apple? Oranges, mangoes, or bananas?" he asked.

Caroline smiled, Alex is very attentive to her needs, she was grateful for that. If Alex continues to shower her with love, attention, and care... she will get over her painful breakup with her husband quickly. She hopes he will never change and continue to be attentive to her.

"Milk is enough for me," she said.

"Okay, I'll go downstairs and make you a glass of milk myself," he said.

"I want to prepare my milk," Caroline said.

"No problem, let's put a hot and cold dispenser on the table in the corner as well as glasses and spoon so that you don't have to go downstairs to make your milk. You can have hot milk anytime you want," he said. "I will also put a small fridge here inside the bedroom so that you can eat fresh fruits every day which is good for your health and the baby," he said enthusiastically.

Caroline smiled. "I like that!" she replied appreciatively. She's loving his high level of attentiveness towards her needs. She understood that Alex is yearning for offspring for a long time, he's excited to see his child born into this world.

Alex went to her side on the bed and planted a gentle kiss on her forehead. "Babe, where do you want to stay... here in the mansion or at Evergreen Hill?" he asked.

Caroline pondered for a moment. She wanted to stay in Evergreen Hill but now that she's pregnant, it's more convenient for her to stay in the city where the hospitals are at a close distance just in case she will have a sensitive pregnancy, it's easier to seek treatment.

Evergreen Hill is a bit far from the city, not convenient for her pregnancy. Besides she wants to get closer with her new partner, to get to know him better. It's very hard to forget Mike, but if she can see Alex every day, he might help her forget her husband easily.

"I will stay here with you," she finally gave her answer.

"Thank you so much, babe! You make me so happy today!" Alex smiled brightly and hugged her tightly. He was delighted with her willingness to stay by his side. He's looking forward go home daily after work and see his beloved woman in his home - along with their baby growing healthy in her w.o.m.b. He's excited to see his firstborn with Caroline, which would take place a few months from now.

He detached himself from her. "I'll go downstairs and bring your milk here," he said energetically.

Caroline watched Alex exited the door. So far so good, her coming here to her new home went smoothly, even if it's the same house where she encounter some horror when Allison and Greg were still alive. But she's here to embrace her past and survive, she got to man up!

It's ironic that at some point in time, she wanted to leave this mansion desperately... but now ended up living here and became the wife of the owner of the house. Life is indeed unpredictable and full of surprises with its twist and turn.

It's a blessing that she's still alive until now and has not served jail time yet. Brenda's death was like a mystery. The Police Authority has no information about Brenda. She's missing until now, with no dead body to prove that she's already dead and no evidence and no witness.

Now that Allison is also dead, the crime she made a few years ago was buried deep beneath the ground. If she will die one day and ascend to heaven - she's willing to pay the punishment for killing a person unintentionally.

But now that she's still alive. She will live her life to the fullest and never let negativity drag her down.

it's about time to breathe easier and be grateful for whatever blessings she's going to receive in the days to come.

She was just thankful to God that she's still alive until now.

As for her husband Mike, she will always love him. She will never forget about him and she wishes him well and happiness with Althea.

Healing comes with forgiving, forgetting, and moving on forward by not allowing the past to destroy her future.

She smiled inwardly.

She's kind of loving her mindset today. It gives her a renewed strength.

She still remembered when she announced her pregnancy to the people in the living room, that was the hardest part! It was so humiliating on her part. She almost died inside, but she managed to stay brave and strong, she winged it!

Now that it's all behind her, she can breathe easily from now on.

A few minutes later.

Alex returned with a glass of milk.

Caroline drinks the glass of milk in one go to Alex's delight.

That night, Caroline sleeps peacefully in Alex's arms comfortably.

Alex's heart was filled with tenderness while gazing at Caroline's sleeping form. It's hard to believe that one of his dreams is finally coming true. He dreamed of this scene for a long time... that Caroline will come home to his house and sleep in his bed, it's finally happening! She's here now in his house to stay for good beside him and they will raise their child together.

What an unexpected blessing! And he's loving it!
