Chapter 170: Three Conditions!

"Finally, I'm out."

Following the gray-robed old man's instructions, Ling Feng spotted a groove on the ground, which was probably the teleportation array to leave the Misty Ghost Forest.

With a flicker of flames, Zifeng emerged from Ling Feng's dantian, hopping onto his shoulder with a few bouncess. It was still trembling with fear. "My goodness, that fellow just now was really terrifying!"

Ling Feng smiled faintly and expressed his gratitude. "Zifeng, thank you for helping me out in that critical moment."

Ling Feng was well aware of the dominion of the heart lock. While his unwavering willpower did help him endure, without Zifeng's fused vitality, he wouldn't have made it through to the end.

"Ah, it's because you're my master," Zifeng shrugged helplessly. "With you as my master, I just have to work a little harder."

Ling Feng's mouth twitched a few times. Zifeng is also the kind of creature that seized any opportunity to create trouble, just like that despicable donkey outside. They both had their own quirks!

"That despicable donkey..."

Ling Feng pursed his lips, still hesitating. Should I bring along the black donkey, or leave it here?

After much hesitation, Ling Feng decided to first go out and meet the black donkey. After all, it couldn't harm him. Even if it was a sixth-tier demonic beast, there was nothing to fear.

With his mind made up, Ling Feng retraced his steps and exited the underwater cave. Upon reaching the cave entrance, he found that the black donkey had already left.

"It seems the black donkey thought I died."

Ling Feng smiled faintly, and then continued to ascend as he tightly clutched the Water-Resistant Pearl. Due to the restriction on his true qi, Ling Feng found ascending difficult.

After struggling for nearly half an hour, he finally emerged from the lake.

As soon as he burst out of the water's surface, a distant roar reminiscent of a wild bull reached his ears, followed by a sweeping gust of wind.

Without needing to guess, Ling Feng knew it was the black donkey charging over.

The black donkey had obviously forgotten its domesticated status. With its hind legs pounding the ground, it appeared before Ling Feng in the blink of an eye.

"Oh my god, you... you actually made it out?" The black donkey looked at Ling Feng in disbelief. "I thought you had kicked the bucket!"

"Fortunately, I was lucky enough to make it out alive," Ling Feng shook his head with a wry smile, recalling the excruciating pain when the Primordial Locks were implanted. He couldn't help but shudder at the memory.

"You can ignore me, but I can also choose not to take you out," Ling Feng retorted with a cold smile.

"You little brat!" The black donkey shook its ears in frustration, stuck out its tongue, andbarked wildly. "Don't push your luck, kid!"

"You're not a dog, so stop barking like one!"

Ling Feng squinted his eyes. He found the black donkey rather amusing, albeit a bit despicable.

"I agree!" The black donkey boasted proudly. "Hmph, I won't eat people anyway. Human flesh tastes sour and is unappetizing!"

With that, the black donkey lay down on the ground, crossing its legs and casually chewing on some grass. "Kid, I've agreed to your terms. If you dare sneak away behind my back, I'll bite your head off!"

"Furthermore, there's a third condition: I'm your master from now on, and you must obey my orders," Ling Feng declared, crossing his arms with a huff. "If you don't agree to this, then we have nothing more to discuss."

"You ruthless little brat!" The black donkey grinned, revealing a mouthful of large teeth, and then spat in Ling Feng's direction. "One day, I'll turn you into a roast human!"

"Before you do that, I'll turn you into a roast donkey."

Ling Feng snorted and ignored the black donkey, instead drawing out the Crimson-Fire Golden Wind Sword. He closed the Primordial Locks once again and began to practice his sword technique.

Ling Feng's aim was to successfully execute the Scorching Sky Blaze technique with the Primordial Locks closed.

However, achieving this would be no easy task. So, Ling Feng began by practicing lower-level sword techniques such as the Starshatter Sword Art and the Falling Leaves Sword Art to get his body conditioned. Once he adapted to his current state, he could gradually progress to more advanced sword techniques.

On the first day, Ling Feng's sword movements were extremely stiff. His true qi was compressed, making him feel as though he carried a mountain on his back. It hindered his movements and made sword techniques and footwork challenging tasks.

By the second day, Ling Feng performed the Starshatter Sword Art smoothly, prompting him to swiftly begin practicing the Blood Lotus Sword Song and The Flower-Transposing Jade-Burying Sword.

Transitioning to mystical tier sword techniques, Ling Feng felt increased pressure.

On the third and fourth days, persevering for three consecutive days, Ling Feng finally executed the Blood Lotus Sword Song and The Flower-Transposing Jade-Burying Sword flawlessly. His strength also recovered to about eighty percent of its state before embedding the Primordial Locks.

"Not bad, I'm gradually adapting to the pressure of the Primordial Locks. Now I can start practicing the Scorching Sky Blaze."

Taking a deep breath, Ling Feng stowed away the Crimson-Fire Golden Wind Sword and grasped the Eradicator of Realms, feeling a sense of unity between his mind and body.

After these days of intense training, Ling Feng felt as though he had grasped something, surpassing his previous understanding of swordsmanship.

It had to be admitted that although the Primordial Lock put Ling Feng under extreme pressure, its effect of honing his swordsmanship was remarkably significant.
