780 The Poison Disappears
It’s already too late.
President Tan gritted his teeth. He had to find another way. Was he really just going to sit here and watch his precious student die before him?
“Don’t bother comforting me,” he snapped. “The most important thing we can do is to find the antidote for you, okay? You will get out of here alive!”
He kicked Elder Nie again, this time, it was hard enough for the old man to spat out blood. “Where is the antidote?” he snarled. “If you don’t tell me now, I’ll cut your skin layer by layer till you speak.”
If anything were to happen to his student, he wouldn’t know what to do!
“Please.” He smirked. “I already said that there’s no antidote! You can torture me all you want, but it still doesn’t change the fact that the antidote doesn’t exist!”
Despite being held hostage by the two men, he still appeared to be very arrogant.
Yao Tang may have said that she was fine, but she was obviously forcing herself. Once the poison started to take effect, she wouldn’t be able to hold in the pain much longer.
Just the thought of the girl screaming in pain was enough for him to feel overjoyed.
She had already held him, hostage, a few seconds ago, and now, she was going to die at his hands. Ah, just the thought of it was enough to lull him to sleep.
His revenge was already starting to take effect.
“Even if she’s sent to the hospital, she’d still face the same fate. Don’t waste your breath.”
Elder Nie used all his strength to mock them again.
As soon as he said that, Tan Jian’s vision turned red. Clenching his fists, he punched him square in the stomach. The man immediately lurched forward, screaming in pain.
However, Tan Jian didn’t stop!
While his martial strength was nothing compared to Yao Tang, he was still a man who had been trained to defend himself. His movements were rough and his force was heavy.
After a few punches, Elder Nie could already feel himself falling apart. He already looked like a broken doll, mangled in all the wrong places.
Fortunately, he stopped.
Otherwise, he would’ve already died.
Elder Nie clutched his stomach, unable to move.
When Tan Jian had stopped, he gathered his strength and tried to use the spiritual power he had left to revitalize himself. The fight was obviously not over.
Once she had died, then it would be time for him to deal with the father and the son of the Tan Family.
After all, President Tan had just activated his spiritual power. Compared to him who had been cultivating his mental capabilities for decades to come, he was no challenge for him. Tan Jian was even less of a threat.
As long as he managed to gather his strength, he’d be able to take both of them down.
Elder Nie coughed a couple of times, raising his head as he tried to get a better look at the young girl.
The poison should’ve already been taking effect.
“Your stomach must be hurting huh?” he called out mockingly. “If you couldn’t endure it anymore, it’s all right to scream. You’ll die sooner or later anyway.”
“Maybe you want to be beaten up!” Tan Jian gritted his teeth and waved his fists.
However, Elder Nie was already rooted on the spot, staring at the young girl in disbelief.
How could this be?
Why did Yao Tang appear fine?
Her face should’ve been blue by now, right?
“Yao Tang, don’t hold on any longer!”
He tried to yell out, but after closer inspection, he realized that Yao Tang really wasn’t holding anything back. Instead, she stared at him calmly.
She arched up her eyebrows.
He glanced at the cut on her fingers.
What had originally been purple and green was already fading to a much lighter caller. As he continued to stare at it, he saw that her fingers had returned to their original appearance.
There was only a faint trace of blood.
Other than that, he couldn’t see anything else.
“Are you really all right?”
President Tan rushed over to her.
Judging from Elder Nie’s expression earlier, he was obviously confident that Yao Tang had been poisoned. But how could she be safe and sound?
Did she say that to make them feel more at ease?
