Chapter 184 - Don't You Dare!

Ashley didn't say anything when she entered his office, and he didn't ask either. They began working as if nothing happened. She didn't speak, and so as Koji. The eerie sound of silence was deafening.

After a while, he couldn't handle it any longer and stood up. He went out without Ashley realizing it. When he came back, he was carrying a bouquet. He walked towards Ashley's desk and handed it to her without uttering a word.

Ashey was stunned when Koji handed her the bouquet. No sooner than she accepted the bouquet, he turned around and went back to sit down. He continued working as nothing happened.

Meanwhile, Ashley was still holding the bouquet and unsure of what to do. She put it down on top of the desk and walked towards Koji's desk.

"Sir Hanada... What is this the bouquet for?" She asked curiously, unsure of what Koji was insinuating with his gesture.

He just smiled showing his white straight teeth. "Good morning to you too!" That's all he said and went back to his work.

She was left standing, unsure of what's happening. She lingered for a moment waiting to see if he would elaborate, but none came. Ashley has no choice but to go back to her desk and continued working.

Just as she was about to sit down, Koji got up and grabs his suit jacket. "Are you ready? We have a meeting to attend." He said as he began gathering doc.u.ments he would need for the meetings.

"Yes, sir Hanada!" Said Ashley before she also began gathering what she would need for the meeting. 

As they walked towards the meeting, she couldn't hold it any longer. "Thank you so much for the beautiful bouquet. It's beautiful and it smells wonderful. I'm so lucky that I have a kind-hearted boss and even given me welcome flowers." Said Ashley nonchalant while looking at Koji straight with a straight face. She didn't even blink an eye.

Koji was stunned for a moment after hearing what she said. When he finally came to his senses... "You are very much welcome! The truth is, I'm the lucky one that sir, Jones allowed you to be my temporary assistant." He said, smiling while his two dimples were indented.

She has no choice but to smile back at him. By having done that, Koji was stunned. He quickly turned away and looked at the doc.u.ments he was holding. He didn't want Ashley to know how affected he was with that little gesture.

"Sir Hanada if you don't mind I would to go ahead and read our schedule while we are on the way. Your secretary handed it to me as we walked out of the office. Can I?" She asked while waiting for his approval.

"Go ahead! I'm listening. Don't mind me, I can multi-task." Koji responded still not raising his head from looking at the doc.u.ment.

Ashley went into the detail of Koji's schedule for the day. " After this meeting, you have an appointment with the Director of Marketing regarding the new product launching. Then at 11:00 a launch Mr. Sanches and after that a walk through at the mall to check the new flagship stores that had opened. and then..." 

Koji's schedule was filled to the brim until the end of the day. Therefore, she was out fo breath by the time she finished reciting everything. 

When she finished and Koji still hasn't raised his head nor say anything. She decided to stay still and quiet. Deep inside her, she's wondering what is going on with her temporary boss. She's so naive that she didn't realize that the man likes her and he's wooing her. She just thought he's being friendly by giving her a welcome bouquet.

Meanwhile, Koji had been staring at the doc.u.ment forever without understanding a word that was written. His mind was running around thinking of how he would take the opportunity given to him and use it to his benefit. 

He's not sure how much longer before Ashley's visa gets approved. and when that time comes, she would be flying right away to join Tanaga. He needed to make a move before then, he cannot afford to take a chance and wait until she comes back... She might forget about him by then.

He closed the folder and took a deep breath. "Miss. Gusman..." *Ding!* The elevator door opened and they arrived at their destination. He was not able to finish what he was going to say, for there's employee waiting to enter.

"Yes, sir Hanada!" Replied Ashley as they descended from the elevator.

"Nothing! It can wait, let get to the meeting. We are running late." He slowly walked towards the meeting room. He knows that Ashley is wearing high heels and couldn't walk too fast. 

The walked that would normally take him only a few minutes. It took him longer, for purposely took a leisure walk knowing Ashley was right behind him. As they approach the meeting room, it was visible that everyone has arrived but them.

When they entered the meeting room, all eyes were towards them. They were stunned to see Koji walk in with someone next to him. Curiosity was visible on their faces as to who that person might be? Koji went straight to his chair and sat down. 

Ashley, on the other hand, was unsure where she supposed to sit. This is her first time in such an environment that she looks lost. Koji saw that and waved his hand for Ashley to come. 

"Miss. Gusman! Here! Come and sit next to me!" He quickly pulled the chair next to him and waited for Ashley to sit down before taking his seat once again.

When Ohani and Kai heard the name that Koji was calling. They both turned around and look behind them to check. They continued looking at her as she approached Koji.

"What is she doing here?" Ohani whispered to Kai.

"I and I" Replied Kai while he continued to stare at Ashley. He suddenly realized that his brother was very attentive to his assistant and that's not normal. "Holy, cow! This cannot be! Bro' you can't do this to me. You can't steal Tanaga's girl from him or he might consider getting back with Ohani. I will not have that!" Kai was panicking and unable to sit still...
