Chapter 209 - Photo With The President

They stayed and chatted for a while before Tanaga said." President, I'm sorry! As much as we would like to stay and visit with you ... Unfortunately, I still have a business to attend. Also, there yet that tour my wife wanted so badly." Tanaga explained as he got ready to stand.

When Ashley saw that her husband was about to stand up, she quickly tagged on his sleeve. With doe eye looking at Tanaga. "Tan, your promise?" Without added a word.

He suddenly burst out laughing when he saw the way she looked at him. "Hahaha! Hahaha! Are you sure you wanted me to ask?" He banters.

Ashley only kept on looking at him with doe eyes pleading without uttering a word. "Please!"

"Oh,' all right! Let me ask him for you then. Hahaha!" He then turned his attention to President Grant.

" Sir, Mr. President, if you don't mind. Can we ask you to have a picture with us? My wife wanted one for a souvenir." Tanaga asked as he smiled at his wife while shaking his head. Things he would do for her including asking the President of the United States of America for a picture.

President Grant smiled before responding ."To be in a picture with a beautiful young woman like your wife is a pleasure. Sure! Let's have a photo taken." He got up, went towards the Christmas tree, and asked the couple to join him to have their picture taken.

Tanaga called out for Sato and Tiny so they could as well have a picture with the President. He knows for sure that his bodyguard and head secretary were dying for a photo with the President of the United States of America as a souvenir. He could at least to this for them, for everything they had done form him and his wife.

Once they finished their picture taking. A tour guide showed up ready to give them the tour of the White House. 

President Grant introduced the couple before ordering the tour guide. "Make sure they enjoy the tour. Once they are finished, let me know and bring them back here to properly send them off. Do you understand?" 

"Yes, Mr. President!" Answered the White House tour guide at the same time looking at the couple. "Please, follow me!" She then leads the way, and the four quickly followed.

They first went through a long hallway. While passing by several security checkpoints before arriving where they saw ten people already touring inside the White House. There was another separate tour guide with also ten people, and they were taken in different directions.

Ashley was not able to control herself and asked their tour guide curiously.

"Excuse me! Miss tour guide. If you don't mind me asking, why aren't we doing the tour with those people? "She pointed to the people who just left.

Tanaga, the tour guide, Tiny, and Sato followed where Ashley was pointing. The tour guide smiled first before she responded to Ashley's question. "Oh 'those people are tourist ma'am! On the other hand, you are the President's guest. Therefore, you will be shown separately from them. I hope that answers your question." Said the tour guide with a smile plastered on her lips.

"Wow! Really! There you go, my brothers, mother, father, you heard that... I am a guest of the President of the United States of America. Not a tourist. Hahaha!" She spoke into the speaker of her phone as she was recording their tour of the White House to later send to her family back in the Philippines. However, she was speaking in Tagalog that got the tour guide confused.

"I'm sorry! I didn't understand what you just said? I can only understand English." Said the tour guide to Ashley. The tour guide thought Ashley was talking to her. 

"Oh ' no-no-no! I'm sorry too! I wasn't speaking with you. I was actually recording this tour for my family back home in the Philippines, and I spoke in Tagalog." Ashley explained as she could not look straight at her husband, totally embarrassed.

Tanaga hugged Ashley and whispered. "Sweetheart, do what's going to make you happy. Alright! We have the approval from the President. You are his guest, remember! "He banters followed with a sweet and tender kiss on her earlobe.

A few minutes later, they started circling around the White House. The tour guide did an excellent job showing them everything. They were even able to visit places that were not included in a regular tour. Except for a couple of places that were off-limits. 

While the tour guide was busy explaining and giving them the detail of every place they went. Ashley was busy taking selfies and videos for her family. As if it wasn't enough, she pulled her husband next to her for a couple of selfies.

"Tan, look at the camera! Come on! Give me a little sugar and honey!" Tanaga couldn't help himself and smile widely for the camera. "Click! Click! Click! That should do it." Said Ashley with a big grin on her face like a little child.

Suddenly her face turned sour, and she pouted. "Tan, we need to take another one. I don't like this picture." She complained.

Tanaga looked at the picture to see what's wrong with it. He's smiling sweetly, she beautiful and happy. Then what is wrong with the photo? "Sweetheart, I think the picture is perfect. What is wrong with it?"

Ashley looked at him with disdain. "It's fine with you because you look dashing. But for me, I don't like it at all!" She's adamant that she doesn't like the picture.

"Fine, fine, we will take another picture, but will you please tell me why you don't like it?" He asked curiously while his brow was raised.

Ashley looked at him first straighten herself up before replying. "If you must know, it's because I'm ugly in the picture! Are you happy now?"

Sato: "Hahaha! ???????????? "

Tiny: "Hahaha!" ????????????"

The tour guide: "????"

Tanaga: "????????????"
