Chapter 210 - Down To Earth!

While the tour guide was describing each of their destinations, Ashley's selfie continued. She also continued, including her husband in the selfie. 

"Tan, look into the camera, come on... - give me a little smile! That's it!" Then *Click! Click! Click!* 

After taking a selfie, she would look at the photo to see how they look, and half of the time, they had to revise it again, for she's never satisfied the way she looks. Tanaga brows knitted into a tight frown. But still do as she says.

Tiny and Sato would laugh at her complaints, but Tanaga would simply do what his wife asked him to do. He wants to make her happy no matter what it takes, even if he has to pose for pictures all day long.

"There just stand right there. Put your hands under your chin. That's it! There you go..." click-click-click!" Following the series of shots to capture all the aspects of Tanaga's posture.

The tour guide could only shake her head as she watches what Ashley was doing. She couldn't believe how down to earth the couple was. Unlike the President's other guests, they always acted high and mighty just because they were VIP guests.

She was glad that this couple was not that kind of person. She thoroughly enjoyed giving them the tour.

They were almost at the end of their tour. They finished circling, and they tour the entire White House. Their last stop was the First Lady's garden; the tour guide decided to show it to the group.

The garden was breathtakingly magnificent. Ashley was in awe seeing all the beautiful flowers.

Suddenly, it dawns that she had not seen the First Lady, it would be nice if she could also have a picture taken for a souvenir. She decided to ask the tour guide if it's possible to meet the First Lady?

"Excuse me, miss! I'm just curious; you mentioned that this is the First Lady's garden, is she around?" She asked nonchalantly.

"Oh 'she's currently out of the country doing some charity events. You don't want to meet her anyway..." The tour guide jokingly told Ashley, but she meant every word she said.

Ashley was not stupid not to understand what the tour guide meant. She just smiled and let it go. So as it would not be obvious, she acted interested in the flowers in the garden. 

"Brother Tiny, Mr. Sato, come over here! Look, there are many orchids!" When she finished calling them, it was Tanaga's turn.

"Love, come here, look at these orchids. When going back to Japan, can I have a greenhouse?" Ashley pretended so the tour guide would not notice that she's disappointed.

Tanaga was on board with his wife's pretend game. "You want a greenhouse? Don't want a Blue, Yellow, Red house? Hahaha! "He banters.

Ashley hit Tanaga in the arm before pinching him on his side. "You! You better be careful. If you don't give me what I want, I could have a miscarriage, and it would be your fault." She pouted.

The tour guide was shocked at what Ashley had said and suddenly smiled before," Congratulation! Is this your first?" She looked at the couple, asking, but more towards Ashley. A smile was on her lips. 

Ashley's cheeks suddenly turned red because she was embarrassed that she revealed it in front of another person. She's not sure if it's all right with her husband. Therefore, she didn't immediately respond to the tour guide's questions.

When she didn't answer right away, Tanaga decided to take it upon himself to reply. "Yes! It's our first baby and more to come after this one." He then caressed his wife's stomach.

When Ashley heard her husband's answer, she rebutted. "What do you think of me a sow?" She then walked ahead of them with no specific direction.

Tanaga quickly chased Ashley asking for forgiveness. "I'm sorry, sweetheart, I'm sorry! I don't mean it that way, all right!" Tanaga begged and pleaded as he chased after her.

Ashley was saddened after realizing what she just said. She quickly left not because of what Tanaga had said, but because of what she had said. The truth of the matter was, she's only a hired surrogate mother, just like the 'sow' that she's talking about.

When Tanaga reached Ashley, he quickly embraced his wife from behind, kissing her neck while still apologizing, hoping he would be forgiven.

"Sweetheart! I'm sorry, please! Forgive me, please!" Tanaga clasped Ashley's hand together with his. Ashley turned around while tears were forming in her eyes. She then asked...

"Tan, do you truly love me? You're not kidding when you told me that you love me, right? Is this how you genuinely feel for me? I only want to be sure, because... - because... " She couldn't finish what she had to say because tears were streaming down her face.

Tanaga applied a gentle touch to his wife's lips before, "Dear, the word 'I love you!' is something that doesn't just come out of my mouth very often.

"As long as I could remember, ever since I was a child, Grandma Hanada was the only person I ever say such a word. Believe me, when I say, I love you!

"Because that comes from all my heart and all of me. So, stop crying already cause it is not suitable for our baby when mommy feels terrible. All right!"

Ashley felt calmer when she heard what the husband said. In return, she looked into his eyes first before saying, "I love you too! Just promise me that only Grandma Handa and I were the only two-person you ever say that. All right?!" She threatened him before smiling and kissing him back.

The tour guide, Sato, and Tiny only came closer to the couple when they saw that they were finally in good terms. The couple were lovey-dovey and kissing each other, which means it's a good sign.

"Excuse me, CEO Jones, Mrs. Jones. We need to head back to the President's private residence. The President is waiting for your return." Said the tour guide apologetically to the couple.

Ashley apologized to everyone for acting up, and shyly asked for forgiveness. "You know, it's the pregnant woman hormones." She teases, unable to look at anyone straight up.

Everyone accepted her simple apology and joked, and happily walked towards the President's private residence where President Grant is waiting.
