Chapter 216 - The Interview

President Takashi froze when he heard Tanaga's loud voice calling him. He knew he's in trouble now, and there's no way out. He retracted his step and faced Tanaga head-on. He put on a smile on his face and acted astonished as he walks in.

"CEO Jones, what a surprise! I seem to have neglected my cellphone in my car, and I was about to go and get it, didn't know that it was you that was waiting. I apologize!" He then bowed to pay respect to the younger man in front of him.

Deep inside in his mind, he was cursing Tanaga and wanted to bolt out of there and call Japan to let President Hanada knows. However, he could not do it when Tanaga was staring at him with killing intent.

"I would like to conduct an interview to get to know all the employees, do you have a problem with that?!" Tanaga said as he made his way towards the President's office.

"N-no! Of course not! Hahaha! Why should I have a problem, your the CEO and I, on the other hand, is merely the President of this branch office." He said sarcastically under his breath.

Unfortunately, Tanaga's hearing is clear and precise. He knew that President Takashi is sarcastic. And that pissed him off the more, and he wanted to kick the old man's arse.

"I need a place to do my work, so I will be using this office. You need to use another office, so take whatever you might need to work." Said Tanaga nonchalantly.

President Takashi's eyes widened; he doesn't know what to say after hearing what Tanaga said. He was going to argue that he would rather stay in case Tanaga has some questions. When he heard Tanaga speak loudly.

Tanaga saw that he was stunned, and he smirked, "What are you waiting for? I haven't got all day. I still need to go shopping... Get on it!" He snarled.

President Takashi quickly gathered his personal belongings. Once he was finished, he promptly left without saying a word. He was in a hurry to call President Hanada so he could report what's going on and what had happened to him.

Ashley, Sato, and Tiny were standing by the door when President Takashi run out of the office, fuming and cursing Tanaga as he walks out. They all just shook their heads while they follow gazed.

"Good morning! Mr. Sato, Mr. Tiny, and Miss? Please, go ahead, CEO Jones is already inside." Said Hanawa while she was preparing to go to the break room to make something for them to drink.

Tanaga was sitting quietly and in deep thought when Ashley and Sato walk in. Ashley went straight to him and stood next to the chair.

"Is everything alright? What happened to the President?" She asked worriedly.

Instead of replying to her, Tanaga called for Sato and gives him an order. 

"I want you to send out a memo to all the departments that I need to speak to each and every employee. Will begin with the warehouse employee." 

"Yes, CEO Jones. Right away, sir!" Sato then went out to the secretary's desk to send out a memo to all the department heads.

Meanwhile, Hanawa came back carrying a tray with drinks. She saw Sato at her desk, and she got nervous instantly. She doesn't know what he was doing on her computer, and it the worst, not knowing what's going on.

However, she has nothing to hide, and she's only doing her job. So' she stopped in front of him first and hand him a glass of cold drinks before moving towards the President's office. She knocked first and waited to be ushered to enter.

Tanaga and Ashley were seriously speaking with one another when she entered. "Sir, ma'am... Your drinks." Said Hanawa as she approached them.

Ashley met her across the way and took the two glass of cold drink before thanking her with a smile on her beautiful face. "Thank you, you may go back to your duty. We will call you if we need anything." Ashley said with authority in her voice.

Hanawa thanked her back and went back out as quickly as she came in. Once she was outside the President's office, she let out a sigh of relief.

A moment later, the six warehouse employee walks in with their head down. Sato was standing by the door and ushered them to sit down and wait for their turn. They were called in and only took a couple of minutes, and they were out.

The other warehouse employee trying to find out what happened, but the employee that was finished with the interview just kept on going without uttering a word. When it was the warehouse manager's turn, he was in for a shock when he saw who was inside the office.

He knew then that he's in trouble for what he had done and didn't know how he would approach the man sitting behind the President's desk.

"Good morning, sir! Please, accept my utmost apology from an earlier encounter. I was only doing my job, making sure that no one enters without permission." Said the warehouse manager looking all gloomy.

Tanaga only looked at him and didn't say anything. Ashley was the one to make him feel at ease. She smiled first and asked the man to sit down so they could begin their interview. 

Tanaga didn't give him a hard time, he just asked him what he had asked everyone then let him go with a warning. "Be careful next time, you never know who might be in front of you." Was all he said and let him go on his way.

"Thank you, sir! Thank you, sir!" Said the warehouse manager as he retreated and walked out of the President's office.

It didn't take long, and all of the warehouse employees were finished, and it was the sales and purchasing department next. There were only four people in that department—the Manager and his secretary and two sales and purchasing agents.

The first to go in was the Japanese Manager. Then his secretary, followed by the Spanish man. Then it was the last sales and purchasing agent. Sato called Mrs. Celia Hoshi, a Filipina married to a Japanese, who had been working for the company since the beginning.

Celia got up, straightened her pants, making sure there were no visible wrinkles before following Sato inside the President's office.

Since she's married to a Japanese man, she knows the custom and bowed to pay respect as she greeted them. "Good morning, CEO Jones, Miss?" Said Celia while standing rooted to the ground waiting for the invitation to sit.

However, she was secretly checking Ashley out and wondering who she is, and what's her relationship with their CEO?...
