Chapter 249 - The Secret To A Happy Marriage.

The couple didn't stay too long they need to leave so they could fly back to Japan before going back to America. They want to greet grandma Hanada and Butler Ruffy personally. So, half minutes past and Ashley bid goodbyes to her family.

Before Tanaga and Ashley leaves, Mr. and Mrs. Gusman gave their blessings to the couple. It's a heartfelt one that Tanaga would never forget unless he loses his memory somehow.

"Children, let us tell you our secret why we have been married for so long, and we are still living happily together. If anything happens, communication is essential between each other. 

"Love each other with all your heart, and don't ever cheat. However, if the two of you were not meant to be, don't force it. Do you understand? Let each other go if you're not meant to be together." Preaches Mr. Gusman to the couple.

Ashley just nodded and hugged her parents as tight as she could. Meanwhile, Tanaga thanked his father-in-law for his advice, while in deep thought. 

'There's no way in hell that I would let my wife go, even if she doesn't want me anymore. Till death do us part, that's us!'

They gave their final goodbyes, hugged everyone, and promised to come back whenever possible.

Moments later, the couple was sitting at the back seat of the vehicle. In contrast, Sato was seated at the front passenger, and Tiny was the driver. They continued waving their hands as the vehicle leaves.

Ashley couldn't stop weeping as the vehicle got incomparably distanced. He was seeing how upset his wife, Tanaga, embraces his wife as tight as he could. Before whispering endearment to her ears.

"Shss, It's all right, next month we'll come back here. I thought that maybe, we can have our traditional Filipino wedding here. What do you think?" Said Tanaga as he caressed his wife's arms to give comfort.

Ashley's face suddenly brightens. She looks a little child while wiping her tears. "Really? That's a promise! Tan, I love you so much!" Ashley said as she showered her husband with loving kisses all over his handsome face. 

She wanted to show Tanaga how much she appreciates his gesture and always thinking of her happiness. Without thinking of the two that's riding the vehicle with them, she kissed him lovingly on his lips.

Sato and Tiny were quiet on the front of the car with a smile on their lips. They were thinking of what they just heard their boss promised to his beloved wife. They'll be coming back to the Philippines after a month. 

Ashley rested her head on her husband's shoulder and closed her eyes while thinking of a way to reward him when they get back to the hotel.

Tanaga was one happy camper the next day. Ashley had given him the best night of his entire life. He's all smile as they prepared to take off to go back to Japan.

"Welcome home! Sir Jones and ma'am Ashley! I hope you had a happy new year." The limousine driver who fetches them at the airport greeted the couple.

"Thank you! Yes, we're so happy, and yes, we had a wonderful new year." Replied Ashley with a smile on her face, while Tanaga was guiding her to enter the vehicle.

"Yes, it was an experience for me. But it was delighted. Thank you for asking." Tanaga answered the driver of the limousine.

Sato's eyebrows rose when he heard his boss answered the driver's greeting. He can't believe that his boss has changed drastically ever since he met Ashley. While he was in deep thought, Sato was praying.

He's praying that no one comes between the couple—namely, Ohani Yamaguchi, the bic*h.

"Sir Jones, ma'am Ashley. If you both don't mind, I won't be riding with you to go home. I need to go back home first to greet my family and of course, to bring their presents. Hahaha! I'll be seeing you in the office tomorrow. Goodbye!" Said Sato as he prepares his pieces of luggage and leaves first.

Tanaga only nodded, while Ashley hugs Sato. 

"Again, happy new year!" Said Ashley as Sato turned to leave.

In just a few minutes, they're on their way home, where there is a feast waiting for them in their homecoming.

Meanwhile, the mansion was busy preparing for the arrival of the couple. Butler Ruffy ordered the chef to make varieties of Filipino and Japanese delicacies.

Butler Ruffy can't be biased. He needs to be fair while serving the couple. But for sure, he likes more Filipino food, so he ordered the chef to cook more Filipino dishes. 

All of the foods were prepared when Tanaga and Ashley arrived. So the couple's eyes widen when they saw plenty of food. "Wow! What's this, a feast? Hahaha! Uncle Ruffy, I think you have overdone it this time. Hahaha!" Banter Ashley as she stared at the spread right in front of her.

All of the housemaids stands on the side and waiting their turn to greet the couple. When Butler Ruffy finished greeting, the housemaids approached them individually and gave their respect to the couple. 

When all were finished giving their greetings, Tanaga raised his hands and signals. "Let the party… Begins! Come, everyone! All of you eat with us. Let's all eat together, don't be shy. Happy new year to all of you!" Shouted Tanaga joyfully.

To show to everyone that he meant what he said, he ushered his wife to the table and pulled a chair for her. He then went to the head table and sat down.

It was a joyous event for the mansion. It's the first time they would be sharing the same table with their master. At first, they were all shy and didn't want to sit down. 

However, when Tanaga glared at them, they all rushed to sit down and forget everything.

Everyone was enjoying the feast and happily eating while praising their masters left and right. Tanaga only has eyes for his wife and wasn't even paying attention to his surroundings.

Suddenly, everyone stopped eating, and all got up at the same time. They all bowed and greeting the newcomer.

"Happy new year, madam!" Everyone said in unison.

Grandma Hanada raised her hand as acknowledgment before turning her attention to the couple.

"Because of food, you forgot that you have a grandmother that is waiting for you! What kind of grandson are you?!" Grandma Hanada joked. 

Ashley swiftly got up and embraced the older woman. "Grandma! I'm sorry! We're famished, so we eat first." I excused Ashley before rubbing her belly to help remind the older woman that she's pregnant. 

With that gesture, the grudge of the older woman quickly dissipated and smiled beautifully to Ashley. "I have no problem with you. But with your husband, that is a glutton, I do." Said Grandma Hanada jokingly.

Butler Ruffy quickly pulled the chair beside Ashley's.

"Madam, please have a seat, and let's eat together." The butler invited, but he didn't know if the old lady would sit down or not? 

However, he was stunned when Grandma Hanada sat down and waited for Tanaga to serve her.

"Here, taste this one; it's delicious." Tanaga put many different dishes on his grandmother's plate. He didn't notice that it was too much.

If his grandmother didn't tap him, he would continue filing more dishes to her plate. 

"Hey! I'm planning to live longer, you know! From the way you're filing food on my plate, it like you're telling me it's my last suffer. Stop!" Shouted Grandma Hanada while shooting dagger at her grandson.
