Chapter 274 - Tanaga Is Dead!

Ashley woke up early, and she first found her phone. She thought of calling Tanaga's office and talking to Fumika if Sato was not there. She's holding her breath while waiting for someone to answer her call. 

"Good morning, this is THJ group, CEO Jones office, how may I direct your call?" It was the operator for answering calls for Tanaga's office. 

"Yes, good morning to you too! This is miss Gusman, CEO Jones's assistant. Could you transfer me to Fumika, please?" 

"I'm sorry, miss Gusman, but there's no one at CEO Jones office at the moment. Can I take a message?" Said by the operator. 

"No one's there right now? It's office hours, right?" Ashley curiously asked. 

"I'm sorry, miss Gusman but I don't know the answer to your question. It's best if you ask CEO Jones directly. If there's nothing else… Goodbye!" Then the operator hangs up. 

Ashley was confused about what she heard and quickly stood up. She washed her face and brushed her teeth before rapidly going out of her room to find Tiny and butler Ruffy. 

"Tiny! Uncle Ruffy! Where are you?" Ashley called them and went to the kitchen like a dizzy mullet. She spotted the two sitting at the kitchen table and talking earnestly. When they saw her, the two immediately stood up and gave respect to her. 

"Good morning, ma'am Ashley!" Then Tiny bowed one thing that he's used to. Butler Ruffy did the same thing. 

"Good morning to the both of you too! I told you that if there are no other people, you don't have to bow. Anyway, come with me to the living room, and we're gonna talk." Then she turns around and walks to the living room without looking back. 

The two just followed their boss. They just spotted her already seated, and they slowly come near her. But they didn't sit and just stood up in front of Ashley like a statue. 

"Gosh! Do I have to invite you to sit? Sit!" Ashley said in a tone that is obviously irritated. 

Tiny and butler Ruffy quickly sat down. They're just quietly waiting on what Ashley would say. 

Ashley breathed deeply before speaking, "Tiny, Uncle Ruffy… can you tell me what is happening in Japan right now?" Her voice was trembling and almost crying. 

The two didn't answer immediately and looked at each other, "Ma'am, here's the thing." Butler Ruffy answered. While Tiny is just quiet and speechless. 

Butler Ruffy tells everything that happened until the accident occurred on Tanaga and the car's explosion. Because that was just he knows, he can't add more to that, so he remains quiet after that.

Ashley was just quietly listening while tears fell from her eyes; they never stopped. Her mind was forming many different conclusions and almost couldn't breathe. 

"Inday! Bring some water here!" Tiny shouted, obviously nervous

Because of Tiny's loud voice, Ashley's family came out and went to the living room.

When they saw Ashley was pale. Mr. Gusman ordered him to get his stuff to check his daughter up. 

While Mrs. Gusman sits beside her daughter and holds her hands. "Ashley, breathe. Don't keep to yourself. Go, cry if you want, but don't keep it. 

Ashley's brothers were visibly worried, but they can't do anything because they know what's happening. 

Tiny decided to tell everything to everyone about what's really happening. 

" Here's what happened when we're going to America. The Chairwoman had a stomachache. That is sir Jones' grandmother. Sir Jones decided to let Ashley accompany Chairwoman while he would go straight to the office." 

"Anyway, to make the long story short. Sir Jones was ambushed and the car where he is fell on the cliff before exploding. We don't have any news because the Chairwoman ordered us to take out ma'am Ashley away from Japan by yacht. Because that was the safest way. "

"Chairwoman Hanada thought of the possibility that the bad guys might know the relationship between ma'am and sir Jones and she might get involved. So, that's why we're here in the Philippines." Tiny breathed deeply before continuing the story. 

" The truth is, ma'am Ashley and sir Jones are already married, and she's now pregnant. So that's why the Chairwoman was so worried about her and made sure that Ashley was far away to keep her and her baby in the hands of the syndicate." 

"Chairwoman also ordered me to sail on the sea with ma'am Ashley for a while, with all of you, of course. We'll stop sailing if we're already sure that all of the people behind this were caught. That was the information I know for now. About sir Jones… I'm afraid that he's already dead. " Tiny sadly said before bending his head silently. 

When Ashley heard what Tiny last said. She can't stop herself and yells loudly. "NO!! He's not dead! I feel it; he's still not dead!!" 

Ashley's brothers approach her, also her parents do the same and hug her tightly. 

*sob* "Believe in me, Tanaga is still not dead! I know he's alive, he escaped. Tiny, please call grandma Hanada and ask her." *sob* Ashley begged while still crying. 

"Tiny, please? Please call the Chairwoman and ask the situation of Tanaga." Arman begged while his hand was on his sister's hair. 

Tiny doesn't have a choice but to call grandma Hanada. He was planning to call her when he is alone, but because he doesn't have an opportunity but to follow Ashley's wishes. 

In just a few moments, grandma Hanada answered the call. Tiny decided to put it on the speaker to let the Chairwoman know that Ashley is also there. 

Luckily they already arrived in America, and she was currently in her room and was going to rest. So the background was the room of the old lady. 

" My granddaughter! I'm sorry I didn't call you back because I flew to America. Japan is dangerous right now because of the big syndicate that ambushed Tanaga, and even me was also their target. So I make sure to go out of the country too." The old lady explained while tears can be seen falling on her eyes. 

"Ashley, please… take care of the THJ group's successor, now that Tanaga is already dead. That kid is the only person carrying the blood of Hanada and Jones. Do you understand?" 

After hearing what Grandma Hanada said... Ashley started to feel like she's out in oblivion and little by little, darkness enveloped her and she passed out...
