Chapter 392 389- Disaster At Sea (2)

Time passed and the disciples on the ship began to forget about the scene they witness at the border. They began to chat excitedly among themselves about the upcoming Chosen Tournament.

This was the first time for most of them to ever leave the continent so there was great anticipation to see what the Star Bound Continent was like.

On the deck of the ship, Yang Su, Jun, and Fei Yin were seated cross-legged along with Lihua and the others that came out of their rooms.

Fei Yin explained what happened before the ship left the Southern Border.

"I can't believe we missed something like that."

Tai said.

Lihua who was in deep thought turned to Fang Chen and asked.

"What did you and Teng Ye talk about, did he mention anything about his Leviathan race that Sea King Modu mentioned?"

Fang Chen with arms folded responded after a while of thought.

"He doesn't know much about his bloodline, or his beast clan because he was just born when it was destroyed. He only knows as much as what those higher-ups at the Southern border tell him. He does have his inheritance memories, but without having been taught the customs and training methods of his Leviathan race it's difficult for him to awaken his bloodline fully."

"Alright, if that's the case it can't be helped. But you mind telling us how his Leviathan race is related to your Divine Beast legacy?"

Everyone turned to Fang Chen after Lihua asked this. They had all seen Teng Ye release the dark miasma that was very similar to what Mo Rong's used when he fought them.

But the Leviathan race was clearly different from the Qiong Qi race. From the projections that were shown back in the battle arena, the Leviathan race was like a Divine Water Serpent while the Qiong Qi race was the amalgamation of a tiger and a winged creature.

"That's because our races are allies. At least that's what I can confer considering the feeling we both get from his bloodline and my legacy."

"Allies?"

Jun muttered to himself. He then thought of the vision he saw when he gained his Kun Peng legacy, of it ascending to a higher realm.

Without much thought, Jun asked.

"Could there be a place beyond our planet where these beings exist? And they have allies as well as enemies among their races? My Kun Peng race would likely be enemies with brother Chen's Qiong Qi race and brother Ye's Leviathan race."

Hearing Jun, Fang Chen commented.

"You could be right, remember Mo Rong had mentioned being a Crown Prince of his race that's from a place called the Celestial Realm."

Jun hearing that showed a hesitant expression before he went to say.

"Actually, I've seen-"

'You don't have to reveal what you saw in your legacy's memories to them. It'll only cause confusion more than anything.'

Just before Jun could say anything, he heard Fang Chen's voice transmission that dissuade him otherwise.

Jun instinctively looked towards Fang Chen but realizing how suspicious that would be he hurriedly looked away.

'Brother Chen, you've had those memories of a different place as well?'

Jun sent a voice transmission, but a moment of silence came from the other end before Fang Chen said.

'Our memories might be different. But let's talk about this another time, speak up or else you going silent so suddenly will look suspicious.'

Jun hearing that looked up and saw that everyone was looking at him.

"Uh…"

"Idiot! Don't just stop talking all of a sudden, what were you going to say?"

Lihua said annoyed.

"No, I-ah, nothing, I wasn't going to say anything."

Jun waved his hands frantically as he said that.

"What? You were obviously going to say something, just spit it out!"

Due to Lihua's instance, Jun got nervous and instinctively turned to Fang Chen, who went back to his quiet middle-child persona with closed eyes and folded arms.

Lihua saw Jun looking at Fang Chen and she frowned a bit, suspecting something was up. Jun was just going to say he saw something relating to Fang Chen's earlier words about this Celestial Realm but stopped all of sudden.

If anyone should be talking right now it was these two, Fang Chen and Jun, since they were the ones that gain inheritances of Divine Beasts. No, Tai himself seems to be some sort of Divine Beast as well.

Lihua upon thinking this turned to Tai, but she then saw Tai give her a clueless look, and the thought of asking him anything evaporated into thin air.

'They're hiding something.'

Lihua thought as she looked between a nervous Jun and a silent Fang Chen.

"Humph!"

After realizing both weren't going to say anything despite her glares, Lihua huffed in annoyance.

"Men and their secrets, how immature."

Cough

Cough

Fei Yin coughed a bit at Lihua's words before forcing a smile and saying.

"A-Anyway, like Fang Chen has said, Jun's words could be right, and Mo Rong could be from that Celestial Realm but somehow ended up in that dimension. Also, did you all remember the interaction we had with him?"

Everyone hearing that went silent for a moment, how could they forget? Both Fang Chen and Jun nearly died while Li Shen went missing.

Realizing he had brought the atmosphere down a bit, Fei Yin said.

"It's all behind us now, but remember how he spoke a different language then? Maybe it's the language of Divine Beasts used in that Realm."

"If that's the case how can that bastard speak that language?"

Mu Fan suddenly said referring to Li Shen.

Of course this thought had been in everyone's mind but compared to what happened during that time this small piece of information had been buried at the back of their minds. Only now that Li Shen had been confirmed to be alive could they muster up the courage to recall those memories in detail and question things like this.

'Wait, if it was a different language how did Fang Chen knew that Mo Rong mention some Celestial Realm?'

Lihua sudden had this thought and glared at Fang Chen with even more suspicion.

Jun with his head down replied to Mu Fan's question with.

"Maybe Master, he's-"

"Wait!"

Yang Su's eyes suddenly went dark and he stopped Jun from talking. After which his gaze coldly land on the space behind Jun before he said.

"Elder, don't you think it's rude to be eavesdropping on us juniors' conversation like this?"

Everyone hearing this showed shocked expressions.

The only reason they were so comfortable speaking was that they thought no one would be interested in what they had to say. Their group was already insignificant when considering the sea of other people on the deck that were having conversations.

But just in case, Lihua had used a bit of her Divine Soul Pearl to create a separate space for them. Not too strong to draw attention to them, but not too weak that any disciple could overhear them.

But how could she have known an elder would be the one to try and listen to their conversations?

The space behind Jun distort and a figure stepped out.

Everyone seeing this person was dumbfounded momentarily.

'Why was he here?'

Everyone thought that as Shi Chun smile awkwardly before saying.

"I apologize, I really didn't mean to eavesdrop. I had only come here to speak with my disciple's benefactor when I heard you guys were talking about that child Teng Ye. My curiosity got the better of me so I didn't announce my presence, before I know it I was in too deep listening to things I surely wasn't supposed to hear. Haha, I apologize once again."

Shi Chun said and he actually cupped his fist and bowed in apology.

However, no one was looking at him favorably.

He had been listening to them for so long, so he must have heard them talking about Jun and Fang Chen's legacy.

Worse, if Jun had continued he might have revealed something about Li Shen.

If it wasn't for Yang Su being cautious when it came to Li Shen and having scanned the area thoroughly, he would have never picked up on the slight spatial fluctuations behind Jun and found out someone was listening to them.

They just spilled some of their secrets among their groups unintentionally, how could they just accept Shi Chun's apology?

Shi Chun seeing the hostile gazes of everyone, especially Jun, he started to have regrets for letting his curiosity get the better of him. Obviously what was spoken between these juniors were tightly kept cultivation secrets among their group. Shi Chun was sure if he was someone else they would probably be plotting ways to get rid of him.

'Ugh, this isn't good, I'm not one to lust after others' treasures. I should find a way to clear up this misunderstanding I got myself in.'
