As Princess Lily walks towards me, a leaf on the branch poking out of her hair shakes with each step.

I look at the two knights, thinking they should’ve at least removed that leaf that looks like it’s about to fall anyway, and their expressions suddenly turn to panic. Apparently they forgot all about it.

I try my best not to stare at it. I don’t want to do something stupid like reaching out and taking it off.

As I look slightly to the side, I speak to Princess Lily.

“Well then, does this mean I won?”

“Yes. I have lost, and I apologize for jumping out like that near the end.”

Princess Lily admirably lowers her head. The leaf shakes.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see Roa peeking this way. She’s wearing the veil magic item.

…I’m sure she’s laughing underneath it. That’s not fair. I’m doing my best to keep a straight face!

I shake these thoughts from my head, and continue speaking.

“So now that I’ve won, can you tell me more about that magic crystal?”

“You’re surprisingly persistent, Master Rust.”

She suddenly calls me by my name. I don’t know what brought about this change, so I try to move past it.

“So?”

I keep pressing, with a smile on my face.

“I think it would be faster to show you. I’m sorry, but please come with me by yourself. Zora and Lismist, stay here too.”

I look at Roa, and she has her arms crossed and looks away. I can’t see her face because of the veil, but it doesn’t look like she’s happy.

But I guess she’ll wait for me.

I go after Princess Lily, who is already walking.

“So, where are we going, Princess Lily?”

“To the mausoleum. Did you know that this mausoleum is said to belong to this country’s founder, King Kershul? But that is not all.”

“I’m not really good with history, so I really don’t know.”

It’s not a field I’m very knowledgeable about, so I say it bluntly.

Princess Lily silently nods. She realizes that I’m not very interested or knowledgeable about this subject.

She goes past the entrance to the mausoleum and keeps going deeper.

There’s a fork in the road, and she picks one path, but we immediately reach a dead-end.

“Basically, there are a few institutions like the King Kershul mausoleum here in the Kingdom of Kalzart.”

Princess Lily takes out another thin and long magic crystal, similar to the one she gave me in the white mask party, and holds it up towards the wall.
