“Actor Kahelone! It’s been a while.”
I greet her while remembering that Kalin told me this request has to do with the church of Araysla in the capital.
“Yes, Master Rust, I see you remember me. Taula has contacted us and told us she is safe. You have our thanks for rescuing her. Was Sister Reese’s scripture helpful?”
Yes, that’s right. She’s Taula’s friend.
“You don’t need to thank me, Taula is also a dear friend to me. And the book I borrowed was very helpful, so thank you very much. I need to return it.”
“Then return it to Sister Reese later when you come to the church. If you have it with you that is.”
“Yes, I have it. The church?”
I notice that I’m just talking to Kahelone and completely ignoring Floren.
I quickly turn over to her, and notice she has an odd smile on her face.
Floren, perhaps noticing my gaze, calmly nods and gestures towards the door.
Is she prompting me to leave?
Hm… Is she telling me I should hear the rest from Actor Kahelone? In the end, I didn’t get anything concrete from her. Even this check has nothing to show that it comes from Princess Floren or the rest of the royal family.
As it stands, all I have that indicates this request is from the first princess is what people involved have told me. I get the feeling that if problems arise from my actions, the responsibility is going to end up with the Admiral dominion.
And what about this sum? As expected from the shut-in princess. She really doesn’t like to be out in the open.
I turn again to Floren, who still has the same odd smile, and take a somewhat sarcastic bow, before turning around heading to the door. Kahelone is caught a little off guard and hurries after me.
I leave the building and wait for Kahelone to come out too. I don’t see the guide that brought me here.
“Ahh… It really was tense, wasn’t it?”
Says Kahelone, who exits shortly after I did.
“Yes. The princess really isn’t a straightforward person.”
Kahelone smiles, seemingly happy that we are on the same page.
“Now let me take you to the church, Master Rust, and not stand outside and talk.”
Kahelone and I walk side by side and chat as we head to the church of Araysla in the capital.
