The bamboo shoot army sprouts from the ground as far as the eye can see, which includes where the First Seat of Delusion’s mermen army is.
As soon as they sprout among the enemy line, the bamboo shoot army starts attacking the mermen soldiers. They are holding sharp bamboo spears, and aim for their lower abdomen while still buried in the ground.
A few are blocked by the mermen’s seashell armor, but many spears weave through their gaps to stab the mermen.
The bamboo spears are probably empty, because mermen fluids spray and paint the ground through them.
The army of the First Seat of Delusion screams as it starts attacking in a free-for-all.
And then Eve, in its General Mode, swings its commanding staff up, and all the bamboo shoots currently not engaged in the brawl pull themselves off the ground.
They all move in perfect order.
Eve then smacks the commanding staff into the ground again, and the bamboo shoot army all hold their weapons and stand by ready to attack.
“Good grief, Rust alone has more power than a whole army.”
Says Kalin, with an amused tone despite how those words may sound.
“Just don’t push yourself too hard.”
Says Ahri with her eyebrows furrowed. I just look away.
And my eyes land on Taula, who is silently praying.
“All right, I’m going to strike too. Ahri, come with me. Roa, you look after Rust.”
Roa nods silently, and Kalin looks at Taula, who stays in that same prayer position.
“I’m staying here.”
“All right. Are you sure you don’t need a sword?”
“Yes, Kalin. I feel closer to god than ever before.”
Says Taula, holding her scripture close to her chest.
“If necessary, I will put my body on the line.”
It’s hard to call Taula’s words logical. Kalin peeks over at me, and I lightly nod.
Is some sort of new divine protection awakening inside her? Or… In any case, I think we need to watch her closely.
“Rust, try not to hog all the glory.”
“Yes, I’ll keep that in mind.”
Kalin says while twisting her body and looking back from atop a transmuted beast created by the Kagero Institute.
“All right. All forces, ride forward! Clip the enemy’s left wing!”
Shellrule mass produced hippopotamus transmuted beasts that are like Hipopo, but have six legs and are smaller.
Everyone follows Ahri’s lead and also climb on top of these transmuted beasts we named Lesser Hipopo.
Kalin unsheathes her meteoric iron sword, and yells.
“Everyone, follow me!”
The army of the Admiral dominion runs down the hill.
