Chapter 5: Chapter 5- Bullies

Everything that came out of Amon's mouth, was very difficult for Yang Chen to believe. However, at this moment he had no choice but to take its word at face value for now.

"I see... then does that mean that I'm the owner of the Greedvil System now?" Yang Chen asked propping his body up.

"Certainly, the Greedvil system belongs to the host" Amon tapped his trident in the air and a black window appeared in front of him.

The Greedvil System looked just like any other menu of a game. At the top right corner of the window, one could see their money, mischief points and their VIP level.

Just below it were the Character, Inventory and various other options.

Simon opened the inventory and looked at the gifts that he got from one of the three beginner starter packs. Yang Chen had already used the tier one healing poiton, so there were only two items left from the first beginner gift.

One of them was the Experience Point Booster something that could be used when levelling up and the other one was an Attribute Booster that came inside a shady looking vial.

The attribute booster increases the power of a player for a short period of time.

All in all, one item increased the experience gained, and the other increased one's power for a short duration of time. These two items were a life-saving grace for a beginner.

"Hehh... Yang Chen, to think that you have the audacity to laze around today. Do you think our courtyard and all those clothes will get cleaned by itself?".

"Haaah!!" the punch bringing forth a howl of wind passed by Yang Chen who dodged it effortlessly by a simple sidestep to the right.

Next, before the boy could understand what had happened, a kick came smashing towards his stomach and blowing him back to the place he was standing on a few seconds ago.

THUD... the boy crashed on the ground and threw out a mouthful of blood.

Seeing this, the other four had incredulous looks on their face. Even for them who had witnessed the whole thing, it was hard for them to believe their eyes.

The slave that was their punching bag, the dog that they could trample on every day and take their frustration out had suddenly attacked them.

"You bastard... have you gone insane? Do you know what will happen if you attack us? The Elders will throw you into the prison and your fate will be far more miserable" the boy in the middle who was their leader barked.

"I don't care"

Yang Chen replied stretching his body. He was still getting used to his new body. As for the boys in front of him, he didn't really care much. He was already tired after listening to their condescending words for a few seconds.

He was not the previous Yang Chen that they knew of, who would silently endure every insult of theirs. He was a Yang Chen that believed in an eye for an eye. Since these people were here to look for trouble he would give them what they wanted.

As the memories of the previous owner of the body came flooding his mind, it made his blood boil. Yang Chen clenched his hands and charged towards the four people.

Now that the attribute booster was in effect, he felt strength flowing through him. From that exchange earlier he understood that his current state was more than enough to take care of these people.

Even though this body of his was malnourished and hardly had any muscles, thanks to the effect of the attribute booster these people might as well be moving in slow motion in his eyes.

Hence it was easy for Yang Chen to take care of these mobs who appeared in every game. Now that he had decided to embrace this life, he might as well make them his precious experience points.
