Chapter 15: Chapter 15- Bait

The sound was quickly getting louder and louder indicating that they were getting closer to him.

Yang Chen stopped his movement and focused his gaze on the front, that was when a couple of figures quickly jumped out of the bushes.

Five people rushed out, all of them males. They were all wearing light armours and carried ordinary grade weapons on their back. Looking at their appearance, and the direction from where they rushed out, all of them seemed to be veteran hunters.

When Yang Chen spotted them, they too spotted him. The leader of the five who was a burly man with an unruly beard, quickly whispered something to his companions before they started running again and passed by him without any word.

As Yang Chen wondered what were they trying to do, he saw the man at the back of their formation, flash a mocking smile at him before quickly disappearing inside the forest.

Yang Chen knitted his brows, he had a bad feeling about this and it was quickly proven true when he felt the ground tremble. Soon after, the trembling intensified and a grey figure more than five meters big, bulldozed through the forest.

Its eyes which were following the five men, shifted towards the nearest prey that was Yang Chen and it quickly locked its aura on him.

Yang Chen made an ugly face and immediately started running back without even bothering to put up a fight. The demonic beast that had locked onto him was a Five Horned Demonic Rhino whose strength was equivalent to a Nine Star Battle Apprentice.

Not to mention he was not ready to face such a beast yet, he was quite exhausted after hunting the two demonic boars. As such, Yang Chen's chances of success was next to nil if he chose to fight. Therefore, he only had one option and that was to run.

Its strength aside, the most annoying part of a demonic beast like the Five Horned Demonic Rhino, was its steel like hide. Even with a sharp weapon, it was very difficult to cut its hide.

"Haha leader, I must say that was quite the good decision to use that brat as the bait. Because of that guy, we were able to run away safely" one of the men with a thin built, commented.

"However, leader won't it be problematic for us if his companions investigate his death?" another man questioned.

The leader of the group who was the bearded man laughed "Did you look at his appearance? There is no way he has any companions. Even if he has, this is a jungle filled with demonic beasts, it is natural to die from the claws of a demonic beast. Nobody would suspect us".

"Well, in any case his sacrifice had allowed us to get away, I say that he was quite useful... Hahaha". The leader of the hunter laughed.

Seeing them giggle and laugh like that after almost pushing him to the death's door, Yang Chen who was hidden underneath a bush a little away from them clench his hands and slammed into the ground. Causing a small depression to form.

"Those NPC bastards, to think that they would dare to implicate me in their schemes" Yang Chen grit his teeth and stared at them with hatred.

He had almost lost the new life that he had just gotten from some godly coincidence, because of them. He cannot forgive them. Yang Chen decided to exact his revenge. Just as he was about o pounce out and rampage to his heart, Amon that tiny demon appeared in front of him and stopped him.

"Kfufu... It looks like the host is too stupid for losing his mind in anger".

"What did you say?" Yang Chen who was already furious, raged even more from that snide remark from Amon.

"Am I wrong? you are a fool to not be able to take the full picture in view. If you rush out now, you will only be delivering yourself to be killed instead of killing them".
