Chapter 50: Chapter 50- Mysterious Old Man

Now that even an elder had perished at the hands of this slave, the situation have completely gone out of hand. If they returned to the clan empty handed, they would be severely punished, even killed for their failures.

But if they returned with the head of the criminal, they might be spared from death at least. The person while thinking such, proceeded towards the fallen Yang Chen.

In fact, what these people were thinking was exactly right. Yang Chen had indeed sustained grave injuries during his fight and due to his own recklessness.

Not only he suffered a great backlash from activating the first change of the Nine Brilliant Mysterious Change, he had also further activated and superimposed two battle skills simultaneously putting tremendous strain on his body.

Yang Chen had fainted.

"Dammit" Amon cursed, as he saw the person from the Zhang clan approaching, he could tell what kind of danger Yang Chen's body was in. He tried to prevent the latter from fainting but it seem it was no use.

"Curses, I guess I have no choice but to activate the emergency system" Amon muttered something and a window appeared in front of him.

"I was trying to save this for a time when he faced a truly hopeless situation and had no chance of surviving it. But I guess I have no choice but to activate it now that his life is in danger" the demon complained.

"Tch, dammit. Initialise again"...

The blast of energy was so powerful that it could even be seen from thousands of kilometres away.

"Hmm? Such powerful energy" A voice sounded out from the void. Tens of thousands of miles east of the star fall jungle, on top of an enormous mountain, an old man with silvery white hair and donned in a simple black robe, suddenly opened their eyes to reveal two black holes swirling within them.

Those unusual eyes that seemed like they could see through anything, were looking towards the distant sky. More precisely towards the direction where the Star Fall Jungle was.

It stayed glued there for a second when suddenly the old man moved. He stood up causing the space in front of him to ripple. The old man then extended his hand positioned his index and middle finger like a sword and made a cutting motion.

Immediately, a thin line appeared in the space before enlarging. The old man stepped towards the cut made the space and disappeared from the place.

The next time he appeared, he was already above the star fall jungle which now had a big empty space devoid of any life, in the middle of it.

"That blast covered more than 30% of the total area of this forest. Who could have such immense power to do something like this in this backwater of a place?" the old man muttered to himself.

His black hole like eyes observed the place and instantly found a single life that was still breathing in the middle of all of it.

The old man descended and landed in front of a body of a youth that appeared to be around fourteen years of age. In this empty place devoid of any life, this was the sole life that was still breathing. All the others had been disintegrated into nothingness.

"Does that mean that powerful energy had something to do with this child? But this boy does not even have a shroud of battle energy within him. Forget about having battle energy, his veins and body are in such a mess that it is no longer possible for him to cultivate. He has basically become a cripple" the old man lamented shaking his head.

"Nevertheless, there must be a reason why he is the sole life present in this place" he was just about to extend his and analyse the youth in more detail, when the old man frowned.

"Hoh? It seems like that protector of this empire has also discovered this anomaly and is on his way here. Then I cannot stay here any longer..." the old man looked at the unconscious body.

With just his thoughts, the body was lifted up and disappeared from the place along with him.

After a couple dozen minutes passed by, a certain person decked out in exquisite looking clothes, appeared in the sky and observed the devastation.

They stayed there for some time and investigated the cause of the blast but returned empty handed at the end.
