(CLAIRE)
I went out the house at stared longingly at it.
I almost cried again.
Everybody seemed to be in good condition and I'm thankful for it. But I couldn't help but wonder when I will also be happy. I could try and find my own happiness but there was Zhio.
He won't ever let me go free.
"Hey…" It was Dennise.
"Don't try to escape from me."
I smiled.
"He'll search for you wherever you'll go," she continued.
"Honestly, I think he's head over heels in love with you."
"I'm not afraid of him. I'm just scared of what he could do to my family. If I have nothing to lose, I could've had ran away from him long ago already."
She tapped my shoulder.
"He's just afraid to lose you ya' know."
"I don't like the way he loves. His true color shows."
"But admit it…he's really nice to look at when he's smiling," she teased.
"Whenever he smiles, every storms disappear." I smiled at Dennise.
"But he becomes the storm when he's mad."
"And only you could calm down that storm," she tilted her head at me.
"I'll leave you here for a bit but don't try to run away."
But before she could leave, she whispered at me.
"Because I'm not the only one watching you…"
Her mouth pointed towards the two men who were acting busy behind the electric post outside our gate.
That meant…
"…Your brother might've poisoned the dish I'm cooking,"
Dennise complained as she walked back inside.
…several more of Zhio's men were watching me.
He's made so sure I wouldn't be able to run away.
I went inside and sat grouchily at the sofa.
Something rang.
It was Dennise's phone.
The caller was named Grumpy Boss.
Zhio?
I accidentally pressed the answer button.
"Denn---"
"He---hello?"
"I've been calling you for a while now!"
Was it Zhio?
"This isn't Dennise I'm taking to, is it?" he guessed impatiently.
"Who in hell is this? Give the fucking phone to Dennise!"
"Zhio?"
"Motherfucker. Aren't you listeni--"
I ended the call.
He's devilishly rude.
Somebody laughed behind me.
"Let me guess," It was Dennise.
"That was Grumpy Boss."
I nodded.
I can't believe there're still people who could bear his bad attitude.
The phone rang again and Dennise took it.
She laughed at him.
"Hey idiot. Did you not recognize the voice of your special someone?"
She laughed again.
"Sorry." She stopped laughing and looked at me.
"Yes, that was Claire."
"He wants to talk to you," she approached me.
I shook my head.
She took the phone away from her face,
"Answer him. I'd get reprimanded if you don't."
"Why?"
"Just answer him, okay?"
I took her phone.
"Hello."
"How are you?" His tone was suddenly calm.
"Just fine," I yawned.
"How do you feel?"
