I couldn't hold back my anger.

"That useless Board of Directors were meeting behind my back? What the heck were they up to, Deo?"

"I was told about the meetups just this morning. They will be having a conference for the voting and appointment of the Interim CEO,"

Deo stated as he scrolled his finger on his work tablet.

"It has been half a month since Zhio went missing so they decided that that position have to be assumed immediately. The meeting will be held between the Cryzastic Corporation and Zel Cantheliz's Board of Directors at five this afternoon. Your presence is required."

"No Deo. I won't let that happen," I took out a paper that I drafted earlier, "And give this letter to Claire. We have to finally introduce her. Make sure everything is properly done."

"Yes sir," although he agreed, Deo's voice had doubts, "But are you really sure about Claire? Zhio would be mad if he'd know you told anybody about her."

"Tell me…what else could be done about this situation?"

He shook his head.

"I don't know."

"Then do what I asked you to do," I left the room to breathe outside for a moment.

I hoped everything would work out fine.

(CLAIRE)

A letter for me from the Zel Cantheliz Corporation.

Could it be that…?  

"You're invited to this afternoon's conference," Deo handed me the paper.

"Please do sign to affirm your attendance."

I was wordless.

"We understand your situation Claire. But please do this for Zhio and for everything he's worked for in his entire life."

I sighed.

What will I do there?

How could my presence save Zhio's company?

"But I don't know anything about…"

"Atty. Wenziel got your back. Don't worry about anything," Deo smiled reassuringly.

Then…If that was the only thing I could do for Zhio, I would.

I went with Deo and arrived secretly at the company premise. My whole body quivered as I set foot on it.

"Relax," Deo took my hand.

I smiled in response and took his hand.
