((( Jasmin POV's )))

((( JASMIN POV's )))

When I woke up the next morning, I leisurely stared at Rhio.

He was still asleep. Unsuspecting.

And it'd be the last time I would see him. He's been a loving… Caring… Affectionate although a little grumpy sometimes… I didn't want him to hate us if Kevin's not indeed his son.

Because I'm in love with him…

His family history was already painful to bear. I stood up and took a paper to write on.

Quietly, I wrote the last message I'd ever give him. It was filled with sadness and my tears but I had to give him up for the sake of my son. I had to do it. The letter went inside the drawer. It's either I escape first or Rhio finds it first.

"It's still so early." I was surprised when Rhio suddenly spoke. But his eyes were still closed. "It's only four in the morning."

"Because I'm very excited…" my heart was still beating fast.

"Obviously. Come here."

"No. Get up!"

The lazy guy just hugged my pillow instead. I went out our room and helped in the kitchen. It'd also be the last time I'd cook for him. But before the dish was ready, Rhio emerged in the dining.

"Why did you get up already?"

"You told me to get up," he yawned, "What're you cooking?"

"Secret. Move aside!"

"Hot-tempered early in the morning, I see. Is baby Kevin behaved today? You're tummy is so big already."

"He's sleeping," I hushed him up, "Could you please leave the kitchen? You're so annoying."

"Ouch. You want me to leave?"

No Rhio. I'm the one who's leaving. And he left.

"Miss Mitchell was also like this every morning," Sya said as we prepared the breakfast on the dining table. I looked at her.

"Thankfully you're here. I feel like I was reliving the days with her. Sometimes I thought she's gotten back because of you," she added. I felt guilty.

"Please always do this to Rhio every morning. And make sure he won't eat alone."

"Certainly Jasmin because you're here. He wouldn't be alone." I sighed.

"I'll just call him."

Rhio wasn't in our room when I went upstairs. He wasn't in the terrace. But when I went back down, I was surprised to see him waiting at the base of the stairs... …with a bouquet of fresh flowers.

"Oh my," I smiled and teased him, "Mister Simon would be mad if he knew his flowers got plucked again."

"It's because of you…I couldn't get enough of your smile."

I laughed with a sad undertone, "Cheesy. Let's eat."

When I took the flowers from him, I noticed his hand was wounded.

"Your hand is bleeding."

"Yeah," he smiled," I didn't know it's hard to get those roses. The thorns got me."

Roses.

I suddenly remembered how we met. But since then, my life had drastically changed. Our worlds changed.

"Thank you Rhio."
