((( Jasmin POV's )))

His hug tightened, "And now I have to go again."

"I know. Should I expect anything else from a CEO?"

"I'll go home early and make up for it. How about a dinner date in the garden?"

That sounded romantic…if I'm still at the mansion if you go back.

I'm really sorry.

He took a shower and I waited until he's dressed.

"This is an international card. You can buy anything you like," he placed a dark green ATM card on the table in front of me, "Just make sure nobody would recognize you and Sya."

I stood up to help him do his tie.

"Could I buy fishballs with that?"

He laughed a little, "You could withdraw money to buy your stupid whims. But be wary of what you eat."

"Done," I pressed on his tie and smiled at him.

"My chauffeur will drive for the two of you."

"And he'll not follow us outside after."

"He'll stay at the parking lot. But get used to being followed around, Jasmin. I'm just making sure you're always safe. You'll soon become my legal wife…remember?"

"And what if I'll just not marry you?" I looked sourly at him.

"I won't let that happen," he took my hands, "You know I'm deeply worried whenever something happens to you."

"Rhio…If I didn't come into your life…will you be happy?"

"Definitely not."

"Because you got this steel wall around you. I want you to learn how to break those walls and let people in."

"You know, not all people deserve a spot in everybody's lives. The more people you welcome, the more you get hurt or get disappointed about."

He took his suitcase and arranged the things he needed to bring.

"You're enough for me, Jasmin. Having you and our baby…is the most wonderful thing that happened to me. I admit I've done a lot of mistakes to other people…but I'm making sure I compensate for it to you and our little family."

He walked to his closet and grabbed his coat, "All these things you're talking about are making me anxious that something is going to happen." I was surprised.

Was he suspicious already?

"I really didn't want to let you go out but because I promised, there's nothing I could do to stop it. But promise me that you'd go back," his stare was disheartening, "I'm afraid that I'd find out you weren't able to go back. You're my only happiness Jasmin. You're the reason I'm enduring all the hardships and troubles that come. So promise me…you're not gonna leave me."

"Rhio…" He hugged me tightly. "I love you very much."

He must've known. He must've seen the letter. And I felt that all the words he had said were meant to knock against my conscience. Those words were sincere but… I'm sorry.

I had to leave.

Even you Rhio…could change.

He withdrew from the hug and made me face the full length body mirror.

"Rhio…" He left shortly and returned with what I knew was a precious heirloom.

It was a necklace.

"I can't wear that," I said as he started to wrap the silver cord around my neck.

"Promise me that you wouldn't remove this until we get married." My eyes got drawn to the glitzy diamond pendant of the necklace, "What if I lose this? You know we're going outside today."

"Just promise me Jasmin."

"Rhio…" But he was looking at me with strange stillness.

"Yes," I answered.

"I hope you wouldn't lose it…possibly not until the marriage. Please take care of it. That was my mother's."

"Rhio…"

"Alright. I can lose that," he held both my cheeks, "but not you."

"Rhio…" My chest felt so heavy.

But still, I have to leave. And when his lips pressed on mine…I wanted to cry.

"Am I burdening you with that necklace?" he laughed at me.

"Yes. I almost cried. What if I really lose this?"

"I'm just kidding. It's fine. As long as you're with me, I can bear to lose that jewelry." I cried.

I let my repressed tears to fall. But he just laughed at it.
