((( RHIO POV's )))

After Jasmin drifted to sleep last night, an idea popped in.

I took my phone and dialed Deo.

"Sir…"

"Can you organize a wedding surprise for Jasmin?"

"Sure!"

"Good. Can you do it alone?"

"Definitely…but I'd need my assistants. It'll be a simple wedding surprise."

"Yup."

"And the venue?"

"At the mansion. I don't want any gate crashers."

"What? Jasmin's in the mansion. It wouldn't be a surprise if she'd see it."

"That wouldn't be a problem. I'm sending her out tomorrow with Sya."

"Alright. Then everything's gonna be exciting tomorrow."

"Sure is. And tomorrow will be the finalization of the case against me."

"About that," his voice fell a little," I'm not so sure it'll be a good news."

"I know. But before I get jailed for the crime I didn't do, I want Jasmin and I to get married. Then I'll tell her everything about this."

"I hope she'd understand."

"So do I. And regarding the surprise, I want everything to be prepared after dawn. Talk to Jasmin's family and inform them about this secret wedding."

"Of course, the family should be consulted about the bride's gown."

"Good idea Deo. Okay then, I guess she's awake again."

I ended the call and returned expecting to see her awake only to see she was still asleep. I sat gently beside her and opened the drawer.

There was this little chestnut box where my mom's necklace was. They said it was a twin necklace, one owned by mom and the other owned by her best friend. I have no idea where her best friend was and where the other half of the pendant was but I hoped someday, those two halves would be reunited again.

I'd give the necklace to Jasmin. When the next day came, she was obviously excited. Deo also called that he'd been busy with the surprise.

After we ate, I wore the necklace to Jasmin.

I knew she wasn't fond of jewelleries. She barely touched the chest of jewels I gave her before but I wanted her to keep that specifically. She's so simple. She disliked lavish things.

But later, I knew she'd totally be surprised.

Though before I get to that happy part, I had to attend the hearing for the day and face whatever verdict I would get.

Speaking back about Jasmin, I talked to some people to secretly follow her and Sya outside the mansion. I promised I wouldn't but that's just me sometimes…I break promises secretly.

She's a woman and if a riot was to break out, she'd definitely lose. She's got tons of determination but physically, she's weak. I'm worried for her.

Before I left…I gave Sya some pointers for their stroll.

"Please stay out of the crowd."

"Understood, Master Rhio." I glimpsed at the terrace to our room before I got in the car.

She was there staring at me and when our eyes met, she waved goodbye.

"Please just look after her," I took one last look at Sya.
