((( DEO POV's )))
I didn't expect the reason why Rhio called me the past night. Maybe it's what they called bargaining. He could forgive Jasmin for all that she's done in exchange for her coming back. Unlike his past attendances, Rhio came into the office early.
His face was also calmer than what I expected to see.
"Good morning sir," I said.
"Morning…" he responded as he walked straight to his own office.
"Did they do what I wanted to happen?"
"Yes Sir, since last night."
"Good." Seeing his neutral mood, I took the chance to ask him what I was most curious about. My heartbeat raced as I tried.
"Uhm…no offense but…did you know why Miss Jasmin left you?" I thought he's be quiet or angry but he answered.
"She's got three reasons." He sat on his seat and as usual, I handed him his schedule calendar.
"First, she knew about the Summit Massacre before I was acquitted. I didn't know how but yes," he sighed as scrolled on the tablet.
Next…she's still feeling guilty that Kevin might not be my son. And lastly…she wanted to be free." I nodded weakly.
"What I don't understand is…she should've known by now that I'm innocent in that Summit case but why isn't she still coming back? Maybe it's for the third reason….or maybe something terrible might've happened to her already."
"Don't worry. I know today we'll find where she is."
