Chapter 373 - 369 Again, One Early Evening

((( DEO POV's )))

Rhio hugged his family tightly.

They had been an inch nearer and away from death again.

And I was also relieved when he said the words…

"I guess we need to go home." Then he looked at me.

I knew exactly what it meant. I immediately booked our plane back to our hometown.

"I think you should rest, Jasmin. You're so pale," he said.

Miss Jasmin immediately obeyed. Rhio approached me after.

"I don't really like what's going on."

"I guess this is how the world spins for you."

He whiffed in the cold air. I knew he's got a plan. All of us spent the night in the cruise.

But the next day…something so unexpected has happened.

I prepared breakfast for them earlier than usual because of our flight but...

"Deo...have you seen Jasmin?" I was surprised to see him up so soon. I shook my head, "Maybe she's just taking a breather outside." He tousled his hair irritably.

"She left the room without saying." When Rhio left, I immediately dialed the ship's security crew.

"Did you see Miss Jasmin?"

"We'll check the entire area of the cruise," the head security replied.

"I'll be there in a few," I said. I was walking from the deck when I heard the emergency alarm ringing. In just a snap, everybody were panicking.

"What's happening?"

"There's a fire." I met Dr. Niel as I went with the crowd outside to the dock where the cruise pulled by.

"Where's Rhio? Jasmin?" he asked.

Before I could answer, we saw Rhio and Kevin's babysitters disembarking the ship.

Miss Jasmin wasn't with them.

Rhio's eyes scanned the crowd behind me.

I followed his gaze until I too was sure she wasn't around. I went back to the security.

"Any updates about Miss Jasmin's location?" I asked.

The security guy was suddenly stripped of his smug look.

"We'll find her Sir. She must be in that crowd."

Rhio came by too and was losing his patience.

"Jasmin's not here. Where is she?!"

"We'll look inside," the officer replied.

Rhio was restless as we waited for a few minutes more. Impatient as he was, he stormed back inside the cruise to also look for her. I followed him and heard that the fire has been put off. His men spread out to search for Miss Jasmin.

When they came back and reported she wasn't found, Rhio was ballistic.

"What do you mean you didn't find her?"

The search was meant to be unsuccessful from the start since the fire broke on the main deck of the captain's office where the camera footages the ship were located.

"Don't say she escaped me again?" he boomed.

Was it possible that she'd do that again?

I knew she wouldn't do that...not again.

A service crew suddenly entered.

"Sir..."

She was so pale. Rhio glared at her in response.

"A girl who gave this to me earlier," she said as she took something out of her pocket. I took the folded paper from her hand. It was a letter. I could hardly believe what it said.

"What is written, Deo?"

I couldn't take my eyes off the paper and instead of answering him, I stared back at the woman.

What kind of plan was that?

"Could you please describe the girl who gave this to you?" I asked her.

"She hurriedly left that letter to me so I can't really recall her face."

Rhio instantly pulled the letter from my hand and read it quietly. Everyone said nothing as we waited to hear what he has to say. Because for sure, he wouldn't really like what he'd read from it.
