((( LEY POV's)))
Ivy Jane.
It has been so long since someone called me by my whole name.
"It may be the perfect time for you to charge them. They owe you lives so they should pay you lives in turn," he said. I shook my head.
"My parents' case was over. There's nothing I could do with what has happened in the past. I'm also powerless if I'm going to go against the Zel Cantheliz. Besides, I grew up in their place so I owe them a lot."
He laughed again.
"Because of gratitude you're going to turn your back on your parents? You're as pathetically obedient as your parents. So stupid!"
Mr. Jauis suddenly stood up. His face was red in anger at what I said.
"I'm your only ally, Ivy. But like your parents, are you also going to let me down? Your family's principle is called stupidity. The Zel Cantheliz are just using everyone outside their consanguinity as stones to step on to get on the top. When are you going to wake up and see the truth?"
He told me before that he's my uncle. But was it true?
Where was he when my parents were indicted? Where was he when my parents were condemned to death? Where the f.u.c.k was he?
When my parents disappeared, he just let me be fostered by the Zel Cantheliz... so where was his principle he was bragging about in that?
"What are your plans?" I asked emotionlessly.
"That's what I want to hear, Ivy. I want you to fight the family of---"
He didn't finish his sentence when he saw me shaking my head.
"Oh for f.u.c.k's sake," he muttered.
"We are nothing against them."
"Are you belittling me, Ivy?" he chuckled.
That old hypocrite was so confident but in his smile, I let myself be fooled that we had a chance to win.
