((( Miss Ivy Ley POV's )))
I had no more space in his heart to be loved back. And even though I really wanted to be bitter about it on the woman who took my place, I chose to hurt myself instead by acting as if it didn't hurt me; by accepting my fate as just an admirer by the sidelines.
Rhio wouldn't want me the way he wanted her.
Whenever Rhio went home, he's like a little lovesick puppy over her.
Whenever something happens to her, he'd go back whatever the cost and no matter how much distance he's had to cross. It made me worried for him.
When he was kidnapped for half a month… When he fell sick… But he's got his woman that would care for him.
I'm jealous. I was hurting. I was helplessly in love and broken.
Especially when I heard that Jasmin was pregnant.
It made me want to separate them but it pained me to realize that I'd be hurting Rhio if I hurt that woman.
I decided to leave when I found out that they were getting married in the mansion. It'll just hurt to see them finally inseparable.
After I left, I heard that the girl escaped Rhio before he could surprise her with a wedding. It was another chance for me but I wasn't able to fix a flight home right away.
So when I came back again, I heard that they found her. And sadly, they met already. After giving me an opportunity, fate took it back so soon.
Such a shame.
"Miss Ley, a call for you."
Who'd be calling me?
When I reached for the phone, I heard his voice again. It was the old man who called me before...about revenge. I had my last bitter hope for Rhio so I finally agreed to meet the man.
The rendezvous was a restaurant. I arrived to see an old man waiting for me, with his men of course.
"Miss Ley."
"Mr. Jauis?" I faintly recalled his name. He nodded and pulled me a seat. "Thank you."
After I sat, his men left us alone.
"I heard there was a riot at the Zel Cantheliz household." I just stared at him.
His smile was treacherous. I knew he's got a plan and by his grin, he's confident he'd win. I also knew I was part of his plan.
"I won't wonder why the lives of the Zel Cantheliz are such a mess," he gave me a brief laughter. "Because karma has caught on to them for everything that they've done. Right, Ivy Jane Ley?"
Ivy Jane.
It has been so long since someone called me by my whole name.
"It may be the perfect time for you to charge them. They owe you lives so they should pay you lives in turn," he said.
