Chapter 120 - Cray Love

"I'll represent the Lus."

The audience suddenly fell in silence. It stunned them that the new CEO of Lu-Wei Enterprises volunteered to perform.

"Well… Well… This is interesting," said Xia Ping. "President Lu, may I ask what show you will give us today?"

"I will sing. In fact, I want to sing maybe two or three songs," announced Lu Fang. "Can you give me a few minutes to choose songs?"

"Absolutely! Please take your time. We could use a water break." He turned to the crowd as if seeking approval before getting back to him. "We look forward to hearing you sing."

"Break a leg, Mr. Lu!"

"We are excited!"

Andrea turned to Lu Fang making sure he did not make a mistake, "Babe? You – "

"Yes, babe. I will sing. I have got to make you proud."

Christina laughed straight away seeing the worried look on Andrea's face. She directed her gaze to her son hoping to aid him with his songs, "Son, do you need help in finding the songs?"

Lu Fang came up to sit beside his mother and began checking his phone to find a perfect set of minus one tracks. After settling with a few, he showed them to Christina,

"What do you think about this, mom?"

Mrs. Lu nodded with the chosen music and after going through more, she proposed, "I think you should just stick to one singer. How about this one?"

Suddenly, they were whispering to each other. The mother and son were very deep into their conversation that Andrea wished to join them. She stood and walked towards their seats hoping to eavesdrop but they came to a decision in no time.

Andrea pouted her lips, disappointed at not taking part in narrowing down the song choices.

"Babe, will you be fine?" She asked.

The man smiled playfully and assured her, "I will be fine, babe. Don't fret."

He turned to the host advised that he was ready but needed to visit the washroom beforehand.

Gao Rou came to sit beside Andrea after checking with his team outside the hall. Learning that his brother will honor the crowd with a song, he gave her a pat on the back and said, "Relax, my brother will not humiliate himself."

Upon Lu Fang's return, he was already holding his jacket and tie. His sleeves were rolled up. His shirt was untucked and his hair looked as if, it had been brushed with his fingers. He was trying to go for a more casual look.

After giving his jacket to Andrea, he approached the technician to have the sound system connected his phone via Bluetooth. When he was finally ready, he went up to the stage together with Xia Ping.

"Mr. Lu, what song will you sing for us today?"

"You will find out soon," the man answered simply.

"Alright then everyone, it's a surprise!"

"Yeah! That's my brother-in-law, everyone! Let's cheer him on!" Li Wen shouted and the Xias followed her lead.

"Thank you. I hope you enjoy these songs."

Without delay, Lu Fang looked up to the technician, then down to his phone before playing the music. The first song was Haven't Meet You Yet by Michael Bublé.

The ladies were astonished by his song choice and started to nod their heads to the beat of the sound. At the same time, the man looked down and began to snap his fingers.

"I'm not surprised

The moment he sang, he raised his head up sideways and started expressing with the use of his right hand while the other holding a wireless microphone.

Oooohs and Aaaahs could be heard.

Visible across the room, mouths were dropping and eyes were popping. These were the reactions especially coming from the ladies including Andrea herself. She had both her hands covering her mouth. Amazed, she beamed at the man who was occasionally pointing to the audience while giving a smirk.

As the song progressed, hands could be seen clapping in the air and bodies swaying, dancing in their seats.

Lu Fang's singing voice was solid and rich. He could reach the high notes effortlessly, yet, still sound very manly and sexy. He did such a marvelous job that some Xias gave Andrea a thumbs up, some even two. When the song finally came to an end everyone complimented but the praises were soon interrupted as the man played another song.

Lu Fang stepped down from the stage and focused his eyes only on Andrea while occasionally pointing or winking at her. Seeing his gestures, the crowd began to tease the couple.

Andrea too was looking straight at him. She was now holding her cheeks trying to hide the blush, grinning silly like a little girl. When the man finally stood in front of her, the song had already shifted to a slower pace. He picked her up from the seat and put an arm around her waist making her rest against his chest as he continued to finish singing the song.

Everyone was impressed at the romantic scene before them that Li Wen cried. She was beyond ecstatic for Andrea.

"Babe, you make me crazy," Andrea said then as soon as the music had stopped, she pulled him down for a sweet kiss.
