Chapter 15 - Karma

Lately, Lory feels rather puzzle somehow her jobs had decreased a lot, the housekeeper never let her scrubbing the floor and she also not allowed to carry water bucket anymore. The only thing she allowed to lift is water basin and broom nothing heavier than that, when she asked about this the housekeeper Mu Han told her because she's too slow. Well after almost three years she worked no one has complained to her so why now?

She doesn't want to dwell too much in this matter is not like she liked doing labor job anyway, Lory was sweeping the garden when one of the maids told her to buy pastry at White Pavilion Tea House.

"Don't forget Ri Yi, you must buy more Mung Bean Cake for Madam Lao"

"Oh, okay..."

"Hurry up, all dessert at white pavilion always sold out at noon!!"

"Uh….I'm leaving now then…." Lory received the money then she left in a hurry.

Girsha follow her from afar his heart feel complicated the girl who supposed to be Princess from great nation whose existence like Demi-god now running errand from common people, for Girsha all human royalty or noble is nothing but commoner none of them can be compared with Lucient descendants but sadly the girl herself never cared too much about it she actually enjoyed this simple life, well no one like to carry the weight of the world on their shoulder.

Lory loved to enjoy the hustle and bustle in Nanjing City too bad she does not have much opportunity to leave the manor through the front door most of the time she climbs the back wall and left the manor for relaxed.

Lory arrived at white building with big brown wooden plaque sign 'White Pavilion' there's also two medium size lantern with white gauze painting with red cherry blossom petal and auspicious word,even after years in this world Lory still find the writing in this world is hard there's still few words she couldn't understand. The store is a lot bigger and more lavish compared to other stores the inside even looks more spacious and grand, the servant saw Lory and he could guess she must be maid from noble house judging by her uniform.

"Welcome, how may I help you?" the waiter bow slightly at Lory

"I'm maid from Lao Manor, my Master wanted me to order some pastry from this place" Lory said politely

"Of Course, let's go to counter and tell me what you need" the waiter sign her to follow him, Lorry nodded and follow him from behind then the servant lead her to the counter, a plump middle age Man with long black beard welcoming her the man had kind face "what would you like to buy?" he said with big smiled.

"Give me dozen all of them but add more extra for Mung Bean Cake"

"We understand, you request a lot of them why don't we help you to deliver them to Lao Manor"

"Oh, that would be great!" Lory smiled cheerfully, lucky she doesn't need to carry all this by herself.

But then she heard someone shout and the voice sound familiar, Lory frown she wondering whose voice it is. Curious she follow the source of the voice then she across the folding doors and arrived at the back garden behind the building, turns out the White Pavilion is a lot bigger then she ever though, the garden is very big cover with peach blossom flower three everywhere and big pond, above it scattered small white pavilion connected by small bridges. Lory amazed by the beautiful scenery until she realizes a lot of people seems watching something, Lory squeeze herself in the crowd and there she found Lao Min Na and Lao Fei Yan arguing.

Just like the perfect villain she had a row of entourage behind her, two female noble friend and their servants while Lao Min Na standing alone, both of them glaring each other with hostile is quite attractive scenes when bunch of girl glaring each other on the bridge, the lack of this scene is only intense music background, Lory hold her urges to say 'ACTION!!'

"This is not a place for someone like you?" Lao Fei Yan sneered

"I'm Prime Minister Daughter, why can I be here?" Lao Min Na retorted "Aren't you here too…..?" her

smiled is so stunning that makes anyone who sees it couldn't look away from her.

Lao Fei Yan gritted her teeth the last she wants someone compared her with Lao Min Na, she knew behind her back everyone always said Lao Min Na is more beautiful than her in every way fortunately Lao Min Na body is weak do the harsh life she lived through all the years made her unable to cultivated and Lao Fei yan could seize the spotlight away from Lao Min Na but lately Lao Min Na temperament changed drastically she can't help feeling wary about it.

"This place is very expensive I don't think you can afford it, where do you get the money from? I hope is not somewhere suspicious for the sake of our father reputation" Lao Fei Yan words seem righteous but she actually slandering Lao Min Na, with Lao Min Na late Mother reputation is not that hard what people would say about her.People who heard what Lao Fei Yan said murmured to each other about Lao Min Na late Mother scandal.

Lao Min Na's face remain calm "What you mean I can afford it, if you can afford it and so did I…..or you admitted the Lao family never give me any money?" Lao Min Na words turn the table from Lao Fei Yan, now they look how lavish Lao Fei Yan dress and jewelry compare to Lao Min Na shabby dress and she not wear any jewelry, not even a single hairpin, even though Lao Min Na Mother reputation is no good but she still the prime Minister biological Daughter how could the wise and benevolent Prime Minister Lao could do this to his owned Daughter, more people murmured and pity Lao Min Na instead.

Lory smiled while watching them and said to herself 'Well Played'

"You…..don't talk nonsense!!" Lao Fei Yan lost her composed demeanor.

One of Lao Fei Yan friend come forward she can't let Lao Min Na sully Lao Fei Yan name, because her engagement with crown prince, more noble family asked their children to curry favor Lao Fei Yan and she is one of them "First Miss you should not slander your own Father no matter what he still rise all these years" she said with pitiful looks but she actually accused her of not being filial.

Lao Min Na frown with a blank look "Are you deft, I didn't say my Father treated me bad...I'm just questioning my sister, if it's not true then why must she's so upset, I'm just joking…."

Lao Fei yan and her friend pale she's right she not talked bad thing about prime minister Lao but her word suggestively that he is and she fall to her traps, now everyone would talk about how wronged her family was what if Crown prince heard about it. Lao Fei Yan bite her lips she feel ashamed Lao Min Na managed to tricked her.

"Miss we already prepare your order" suddenly the shop waiter tapped Lory shoulder remind her to pay the goods.

"Oh sorry" Lory feel embarrassed she just to immersed with the situation, she take out a few silver tail. The food inside the white Pavilion is a lot expensive than averaged tea house around "Thank you Mister...sorry once again" Lory smiled shyly

"It finds young miss, but aren't both of them your family young Miss?" The servant pointed at Lao min Na and Lao Fei Yan.

Lory smiled wryly "They are….."

The waiter understands the hard-living as a noble servant he nodded at Lory "Good thing you don't interfere, as a servant when your master fighting is better for you to step back" he warned Lory seriously.

"Yes, thank you for your teaching….."

'BLARRRRRRR!!!!'

Lory and everyone around jolted "Someone fall to the pond!!" suddenly someone screaming and everything becomes chaos. People running to them but no one jump to the water turns out they can spend their whole life perfecting their Qi gong but they don't have time to learn how to swim, this is unacceptable.

"What.....what happened?" Lory asked one of the people who join the commotion, the man eye still glue on the pond "someone is falling, I think is one of the maid" he said with an anxious but excited face.

'BLARRRRRRRR!!!'

"Someone is falling AGAIN!!!" more people shouting "Help Them!!" this time one of the guards jump to the pond and save them.

[Girsha, you see what happened? Damn I miss it!!] Lory called Girsha through telepathic

[Yeah, one of the maids wanted to trip Lao Min Na to fall to the pond but she's the one who's falling instead….]

[INSTANT KARMA!!] Lory gasped

[Lao Fei Yan also wanted to push Lao Min Na but she fell to the pond too....…] Girsha laughing

[DOUBLE INSTANT KARMA!!] Lory gasped again [My God, KARMA is a BI**h!!]
