Chapter 16 - First Meeting

Girsha said Lao Min Na do something with the maid and Lao Fei Yan made them unable to get out of the pond, the pond is not deep enough maybe only two-meter deep even though they can't swim but with high cultivation how could they got drown easily especially Lao Fei Yan who already at knight level but she only managed to get out of the pond after the guard grabs her wrist and pull her to the side, yes he grab it not like held her chin above the water from behind like normal procedure beach lifeguard would do since Lao Fei Yan is unmarried maiden she cannot be touch by other Man except her owned fiance and in this world reputation is more valuable than your owned life.

Beside the pond, Lao Fei Yan sits on the ground pitifully like a drenched cat together with her maid but no one pays attention to the poor maid 'Lucky her' all eyes are watching Lao Fei Yan. The manager of White Pavilion tea House hastily bring a dry blanket to cover Lao Fei Yan wet dress even though the dress is quite thick for lory perspective but or common people her wet dress give to much for imagination, some man not dare to look at her but still take a peek a little with red face.

Feel humiliated Lao Fei Yan go beyond mad but not much she can do with the wet dress, fortunately the manager offers her new dress and place to change her dress before she returned home, without taking any further Lao Fei Yan and her entourage left with the Manager swiftly. Lao Min Na sneered watching Lao Fei Yan figured disappeared behind the crowd.

Just when Lory thought the show is over suddenly someone clapped his hand with monotone sound then a handsome tall man with bright purple robes with gold phoenix embroidery in his chest emerged from the crowd, from the jade crown on her head and his regal demeanor Lory knew this man is a Royalty.

"This Prince only returned home for a few days and already presented with a good show" he smirked

Lao Min Na frowned at first but then she recognized the man in front of her "I'm glad your highness enjoyed the show" said Lao Min Na with sarcastic smiled.

"Seems like you know me First Miss Lao?" he said

"I think everyone would recognize Jiang Wei's great hero, third prince….."Lao Min Na bends her body courteously. Her fearless attitude attracts him, most women would try to act innocent or frail in front of him but the woman in front of him is looking at him with a calm and strong gaze, the Third prince smiled gently at Lao Min Na. the cherry blossom petals graze her beautiful skin her dark hair flown behind her back she staring back at Zhao Yi Chen with her deep black eyes and that's how it's started when Zhao Yi Chen the third prince falling in love with Lao Min Na.

Lory took one glance at them before she left white Pavilion tea house, love is like fire it can give you warmed and safety like never felt before but it also could burn and leave you with scar that never got away but Lory genuinely feel happy for Lao Min Na that woman had been through a lot maybe loved could ease her pained and set her free but Lory can't help doubt it, when she looking at Lao Min Na she feel something wrong about her, like something is gone Lory could never point her finger who or what is it but she can feel it something important is missing and she shakes her feeling every time she looks at her, but maybe it's just her since Girsha said he don't feel anything strange about Lao Min Na.

When Lory returned to Lao Manor, the white pavilion tea house already send the goods and the pastry already served on the table waiting for Madam Lao and old Madam Lao to join their feast. Everything is peaceful until Lao Fei Yan arrived she immediately crying and whining on old madam Lao laps she accused Lao Min Na for humiliating her by pushing her down to the pond even her personal maids confess that it's true Lao Min Na push them down to the pond, both old women cursing and swearing Lao Min Na for people who supposed to be reserved and refined both of them have a quite potty mouth.

Lory sigh and left the room back to the maid courtyard it's got nothing to do with her and she believed that Lao Min Na already expecting it. Lory took a washbasin to wash her face and hand she does this every time she returned home after she played outside her old habit that's never get's away even after she transferred to a different world.

Just like yesterday her schedule is quite lax today too, she pours warm lemon tea for herself on her mug even though she called it mug but the truth is was container for sauce people at the kitchen want to throw away because it's old but Lory asked them to give her instead and that's how it's become her 'Mug'

Lory sip her warm lemon tea, she takes a deep breath inhaled the lemon-scented another thing that reminds her about the past she wonders why she can remember everything so vividly even after all this time, like that day after she left Verrion a few months later six or nine-month later to be exact she met with Lucas and everyone at Rodant city outside Harland territory. Rodant city is a big, crowded and messy city in architectural point a view.

Lory was sat in the cafe near the hostel they living it with Lucas and the other, she sips her warm lemon tea slowly then suddenly someone pulls the chair in front of her, a big muscular man sits in front of her "Hi!" he said shortly then he called the waiter to give him the usual booze, only in three days he stays in this city he already become regular in this cafe.

"Drinking alone Princess?"

"Fargo" Lory raised her cup with sweet smiled on her face

"It's not safe alone in this kinda place" he warned her seriously.

Lory roll her eyes "You know I've been travel alone all this month, besides I have Girsha with me so I'm not alone"

"Yeah you rights!" he leaned on his chair when the female waiter arrived with a glass of cold whiskey and a piece of paper, the female waiter smiled meaningfully at him, Fargo smiled back at her then the waiter left.

Lory gives Fargo teasing smiled "Another one Fargo…."

Fargo chuckle he torn the paper and throw it away "Yeah but not for now..." he sip his drink the sound of ice cube slightly heard, Fargo may be a player but when it come to his duty and obligation he can be as serious as Fredhard, this time his jobs is protecting Lucas on his 'King Trial' he understands how important and dangerous this journey could be for Lucas, there's no way he will let his guard down and played with some chick

"When will you tell me?" Fargo suddenly asks, he put down the glass on the table.

Lory frowned "About what?"

"Come on Lory, I know you hiding something.....Fred knew even that stupid boy Jay knew" he raises his eyebrows with obvious looks, he watching her grew up from toddler she practically his sister how could he not understand her.

"...…."Lory sips her tea with silent.

"Lucas definitely knew...he just don't want to push you" Fargo push her a little bit, he knew Lucas is her soft spot.

"What makes you think I hiding something" Lory eventually said.

Fargo finishes his drink in one gulped "You left Cestine the same day as we left and you even left without the King permission and you Lory...you might angry or sulking but you never against the King's order, I think it's all obvious here..."Fargo twist his glass "You gonna tell me what happened?"

Lory cross her arm on her chest with helpless smiled it's so hard hiding things from them, Lory clicked her tongue "I just knew something...something bad"Lory hold her chin with her hand.

"How bad?" he asked shortly even though he doesn't know what is it and lory seems don't want to talk about it.

"Very bad…." She squints her eyes, Lory silent for a minute then she exhales "I need to figure it out how to solve this I need more...….. information and I can't find it in Cestine palace.....maybe is not even in Harland"

"You need help? If you need anything just take clift he good at sneaking around or Jay, when it come gathering information no one can beat him" he proposed right away.

Fargo not even asked what she's looking for or try to stop her, he trusts her just like he trusts Lucas. Lory chuckles "Nah….you all got your hand full with 'King's trial' anyway and like I said I got Girsha, with 'First Kind' on my back what could've happened with me" she reassured him, she knew how overprotective Fargo could be.

"Find…..but take care yourself don't do things I wouldn't do!" he reprimands Lory.

"That means I can do anything" Lory smiled jokingly

"Come on girl, I'm serious!!" Fargo warn her sternly "Make sure you contact us every three days, if you miss a day we will track you down and send you home without question.....you hear me!"

"Okay okay…." Lory giggles while raised both her hand surrender.

"We loved you and Lucas also loved you very much you know that don't you, if something happened with you...Lucas could lose anything he ready for that but not you.....he can't lose you, remember that!"

Lory smiled bitterly "I know...I can't lose him too"

Lory sit on the porch she put down the mug on the floor beside her, she closed her eyes try to hold her tears in her eyes, Lory hold her breath for a long time then she released a long exhales, as if she let go her sadness and heart-wrenching memory in her heart, she lamented to herself with a quite voice

"I'm sorry Lucas.....I really am...."
