Chapter 328 - Kicking Him Anywhere And Anytime

Whistling a soothingly mellow tune, a dog-tired Adrian happily drove to Lillian's cafe before parking his blue Bentley on the roadside, and hopped out. He seemed energetic despite the eyebags under his blue eyes.

Twirling the keys in his hands, Adrian chucked them unhurriedly inside his pocket as he walked, his long legs easily took him in front of the cafe's entrance. With the corners of his mouth stretched into a small smile, the man dashed towards the kitchen only to find Lillian missing.

Only a few employees were running around with their hands full, the other chef beside Lillian was seen preparing orders while the waiters were delivering them to the tables. Upon sight of Adrian standing there looking lost, they exchanged few glances and polite smiles.

It's already past lunch time, so Lillian Yu should be in the kitchen preparing orders, and supervising the kitchen.

The cafe's filled with a buzzing crowd as usual, but there's no sign of Lillian. Even Damien Gold, who was helping out at the cafe for a while now was nowhere to be found.

Since Dai Yu is busy preparing for his college entrance exams next month, he must be at the dorms in the headquarters. Either studying in peace or carrying out assignments.

Thinking that, Adrian decided to visit his mother before going to see Dai Yu at the headquarters.

"Uh? Where's mom?"

A curious Adrian inquired, walking upto the pretty manager of the cafe, Amelia Qin. She was a good looking young woman with a pleasant attitude and personality.

"Mr Adrian, hi.. This, Madam gave this to give it to you.."

Startled, Amelia Qin smiled at the handsome hunky in front of her and took out a piece of paper from her coat pocket.

Amelia Qin's attire was a formal pink suit jacket paired with white slacks and a matching shirt, adhering to the theme of the cafe, that is strawberries. Her shaded blonde hair pulled back neatly making her appearance elegant. Her cheeks flushed pink as she made the 1- second eye contact with Adrian's stormy blue eyes.

"Oh! Thanks.."

Grabbing the piece of paper, Adrian internally heaved a deep breath of relief and said his thanks. His gaze never lingering on her beautiful face as the man instantly turned around and left.

Standing a few meters away from Amelia Qin, with his back turned towards her, Adrian opened the letter. His brows knit together into a frown as he read through the entire thing. A small laugh escaped his lips, no emotions could be detected from his expression. Even his laugh was unreadable.

'Adi, Son.. Your father and I are off to a vacation to the islands. Don't worry, Dai Yu is also with us, I'll call you. Take care, and don't harass that girl!'

Reading the last line, Adrian almost puked blood. It was shocking. His mouth twitched uncontrollably.

Shaking his head, Adrian stuffed the paper into his pocket as he mumbled to himself.

"When did I ever harass her? She was the one trying to hurt your son, kicking him anywhere and anytime! What kind of mother would say these things to his son?!"

On the other side of the cafe, sitting on an inconspicuously located table, Su Yin was gorging down her strawberry cheesecake when a pair of hands grabbed the fork.

Caught off guard, Su Yin raised her head to find an annoying face plastered with an equally annoying grin. She truly wished to wipe that grin off of his face with a heavy kick to his balls.

A pleasantly gentle voice reverberated that sounded cringing to Su Yin's ears, she twisted her face in disgust and snatched the fork in one swoop.

"Aren't you afraid of putting on weight? Look how you're stuffing your face with sweets and cakes.."

The cute pink table had two empty plates with specks of cream and strawberry jam, a half-eaten strawberry cheesecake, an untouched piece of strawberry pie and a cup of bittersweet black coffee. It was a scrumptious feast.

In response to Su Yin's impolite behavior, a soft chuckle was heard. It was heartwarming. Yet she felt all the more annoyed and hissed in irritation, grinding her teeth. Her eyes glaring daggers at the man seated at the opposite chair.

"Why are you here? Can't I have a little peace?"

Faced with Su Yin's hateful glare and rude words, Shawn was unperturbed as ever and smiled brightly spreading his arms. His even white teeth were blinding to one's eyes.

"Of course, you can..I'm just here to accompany you"

Irritated, Su Yin stabbed the fork into the pink, silky cheesecake and quipped harshly.

"I don't need.."

Not paying any heed to Su Yin's words, Shawn leisurely picked up another fork and poked the strawberry pie that was baked to perfection.

Shawn grimaced after popping the small bite of the pie into his mouth and interrupted Su Yin, who was in the middle of scolding him. After that he reached to the cup of black coffee and gulped it greedily.

"Ugh! So sweet.. How can you eat something this sweet.."

Not in the mood take Shawn's nonsense anymore, an enraged Su Yin asked him to leave. Her eyes popping out of her skull as she stared at the man who'd laid his hands on her food. Her face flushed red.

"Shut up! Who asked you to touch them.. Leave, right now"

Seeing how Su Yin had flared up, Shawn attempted to soften his stance and approached her gently, submitting to the angry kitten.

"Relax! I'm here to see my sister.."

Quirking her brows, Su Yin sized the man who seemed to be saying the truth. Still, she was completely untrusting of Shawn.

"Sister?"

With a smile, Shawn nodded his head. He was aware that Su Yin wasn't convinced that he was here for his sister and not for her, he pointed towards a distant figure in pink.

"Uh-huh.. See there, that's my sister, Amelia Qin. She's the manager of this cafe.."

Lowering her guard, Su Yin muttered a monosyllable seemingly impassive and returned back to her cheesecake. Her glowing face was blissful as though tasting heaven.

"Oh!"

Shawn's deep gaze was locked on Su Yin's little face, he sighed softly and smiled, shaking his head.
