Three days later.

The door opened and Cuena came in.

She arrived after exactly three days. And Jeed was nowhere to be seen.

Seeing Cuena, Riff waved a hand then said.

“You’re back! Been three days, huh?”

“Yes! One A rank and two B rank requests were hard. I couldn’t afford to visit the Guild.”

“You really did it in three days, huh?”

“Surprised?”

“I think it’d be impossible even with a party of A rankers.”

“You don’t think I cheated, do you?”

“Hahaha! I would’ve seen right through that, kiddo.”

“Ki- kiddo? I’m glad to know you trust me.”

“Well, I do! So, reporting three successful requests, huh? Oughta feel good, righ?”

Cuena took gigantic horn and fang out of her fist-sized hemp bag.

It’s actually a magic item. It’s capacity is nothing like it’s small size.

And what she took out were proofs of her success.

And a paper of approval from the client. Meaning she already showed it to them.

She also submitted that paper to the receptionist.

She was reporting successful requests and was selling monster parts.

Each of which is a profitable deal.

The receptionist shortly handed over 13 gold coins and 27 silver coins.

Though Cuena’s focus was on something else.

“110 points, huh?”

“In three days!?”

Riff said, surprised.

One of the conditions to take the S rank promotion test is having a total point of over 10,000.

It sounds like an impossible endeavor but at this pace, even starting from F rank, she’d be done by end of the year.

“You can actually fill the remaining points solely on requests.”

“Of course! Most of my points are from requests anyway.”

Cuena’s points are on the high end even among A rankers.

“Where’s Jeed anyway? The match ends today. Nothing after today counts, right?”

“Obviously! We don’t do favoritism.”

“Then, did he run away?”

“Hehe! Dontcha feel anything amiss?”

“Anything amiss?”

Riff was impishly grinning while Cuena was frowning and surveying the surrounding.

What is it? Is it the monster parts? Are they still dripping blood?

It can’t be that. That has never been a concern in the Guild.

Don’t tell me he’s already here?

Doesn’t seem like it.

“There is nothing particularly different. Did he really run away since there’s no more reques …….– no …… requests ……?”

Cuena’s face paled.

Sweat dripping from her forehead down her cheeks.

She was so dumbstruck her face was twitching.

The request board she was pointing at was —- emptier than ever.

“Wha- what happened? Did everyone get a request fever?”

“Hehehe! Found it, huh? Also, just face it. How can something like that even happen? Well, a few party was indeed a bit inspired ….”

“Inspired!? I mean, this is .….!”

The requests weren’t just reduced by one or ten but –- by a hundred if not a thousand.

“Don’t tell me Jeed did all this! All A rank requests are gone …… so are B and C rank. Only D rank and lower are left. Even those are few ……”

“Hahaha! A lot of Adventurers left the capital grumbling “there’s no more job!”, y’know?”

Riff gleefully laughed in reminiscence.

“Was it really Jeed then….!? But how? I mean, this is physically…..”

“Y’see! He took one at a time at first. But in just one hour, he finished ten of the nearby requests. So, the receptionist allowed him to take multiple requests at a time. Then he took requests for a whole area at once.”

“How can…?”

Did her legs give out? Was she that tired? Cuena just crumbled on the ground.

“Frankly, even I was surprised. I didn’t even see him eat or sleep in those three days.”

“He completed all those requests in that state?”

“What a monster, right? Hahahaha!”

Drained of her energy, Cuena dropped the hemp bag she had in her hand.

It’s just how shocked she was.

“Then- so where is he now? Don’t tell me he’s still out on a request.”

“Naw~ After completing most of the requests, he said ‘Now, Cuena won’t even have enough requests. Hahaha!’ then went off to sleep.”

“Was he always like that?”

“Well, lack of sleep does do a number on ya.”

“Even the idea of me taking another request is scary. Well, no wonder he worked for three days straight without any sleep.”

“Not exactly three days.”

“Huh?”

“Since he worked for a whole week with only three hours of sleep in the Knight Order, y’see?”

“Didn’t he work himself to death taking care of those requests then?”

“That’s why I told you even I was surprised.”

Riff cracked up even more.

It’s commendable to have her laugh this much. She was even tearing up.

“Ha- ahaha…. “

Even Cuena couldn’t help but let out a dry laugh.
