Chapter 1: Ancestral Transmigration
When Xia Qingyang woke up, he looked around at the completely unfamiliar environment. Under the sunlight, his emerald eyes gleamed with a hint of green, devoid of any panic.
He surveyed his surroundings, confirming that this place was unlike anywhere he knew. Although he hadn't explored every inch of the Twilight Forest, the place he had last been was undoubtedly the renowned Twilight Forest in the Xuanyang Continent. How could he have completely changed locations with just a single slumber?
While Xia Qingyang couldn't claim to have traversed every corner of the Twilight Forest, he was certain that the barren landscape before him was not it.
"Young master, how did you end up sleeping here?" a slightly aged voice came from behind.
Instantly, Xia Qingyang became guarded, turning his head towards the person who had suddenly appeared. It was an old man with silver hair, but his spirit was vibrant.
"You..." Xia Qingyang began to speak, but a sudden piercing pain shot through his head, causing his vision to black out, and he lost consciousness once more.
When Xia Qingyang awoke again, he already knew what the situation before him was.
Even though he had entertained some vague suspicions before, when those suspicions proved true, he still felt somewhat bewildered and panicked.
This place was not the familiar Xuanyang Continent. His beloved parents were nowhere to be found. This place... was incredibly distant from the Xuanyang Continent, to the point where he might never be able to return in his lifetime.
For someone who had just experienced transmigration for the first time, Xia Qingyang's initial panic was normal. However, it didn't last long. His gaze regained its calmness as he seemed to accept the current circumstances.
And all of this was thanks to his mother, the first transmigrator he had encountered.
Xia Qingyang's mother was not born in the Xuanyang Continent but rather in a mountain range called Annabel.
The Annabel Mountain Range stretched for thousands of miles, making it the largest mountain range on the continent. Within the mountains dwelled the dwarf race, while a group of elves resided in the adjacent forest.
Dwarves and elves were races that cherished nature and sought peace. For thousands of years, they maintained friendly relations, even intermarrying. Xia Qingyang's mother was the offspring of a union between a dwarf and an elf.
When her mother reached adulthood and embarked on a journey of self-discovery, for some unknown reason, she suddenly found herself transmigrated to an entirely unfamiliar continent. It was there that she encountered Xia Qingyang's father, and their love led to his birth.
When Xia Qingyang reached adulthood, his mother shared her transmigration experience with him. Therefore, when he discovered that he had also transmigrated, he didn't panic too much and accepted it calmly.
However, the thought of possibly never seeing his parents again saddened him.
"Young master, are you alright? Is there anything uncomfortable? I'll go fetch a doctor right away," the old steward said anxiously when he saw the young master wake up in a daze without saying a word.
Xia Qingyang looked at the worried old steward and shook his head. "I'm fine."
His transmigration was different from his mother's. His mother had transmigrated as a whole person, but he... seemed to have only transmigrated as a soul, occupying the body of someone from this world.
During his brief period of unconsciousness, he had received some memories from the original owner of this body. It gave him some understanding of this world and his current identity.
The original owner of this body was also named Xia Qingyang. It was probably due to this coincidence and fate that he had ended up transmigrating into this body.
The fusion of his consciousness with the original owner's memories made him feel as if he had experienced everything the original owner had gone through. And that feeling... was quite novel.
The original owner had a weak constitution and potential, enduring bullying from a young age. He was even expelled from his family, leading him to be stranded on this desolate planet. It was the first time that Xia Qingyang, who had always been a genius, experienced what it felt like to be considered useless.
His mother possessed magical power, and his father possessed spiritual power. He perfectly combined the strengths of both parents, becoming the only person in the Xuanyang Continent who practiced both magic and spiritual cultivation.
However, this world was different from the Xuanyang Continent where he had lived, as well as the Annabel Mountain Range described by his mother. The people here didn't seem to cultivate spiritual or magical power but rather a different energy system.
The original owner couldn't cultivate this type of energy, and even though Xia Qingyang had transmigrated into this body, he still couldn't cultivate it because he was using the original owner's body.
Fortunately, his magical and spiritual springs had transmigrated along with his soul. However, during the transmigration process, the magical and spiritual energy had been completely depleted in order to protect his soul from harm, and he needed to re-cultivate them. He had to practice from the beginning again.
