Ugren pushed Ajon backward with brute strength alone and then charged to attack him. His downward strike forced Aion to bend his knee a little when he blocked the sword with his hammer. The ground around his feet began to crack, and he could feel his bones suffering damage… The weight behind that attack was something else.
Aion jumped backward to make the enemy hit the ground and lose some of his balance, but he stopped his sword midway and then resumed his stance with the ox guard. He sure knew a thing or two about using a sword despite being raised in a kingdom where most people are hot-blooded idiots.
In any case, he was strong and was skilled as well, so Aion couldn't attack recklessly. The time was against him and the others, though, since he could see some soldiers of the enemy camp approach. In the end, those who got too close were hit by powerful Fireballs that engulfed their bodies on fire. The enemy soldiers agonized for a while, unable to scream, but eventually fell dead on the ground. As planned, Vanessa was watching their back, but she couldn't do that forever.
All of a sudden, Aion felt a shiver, and then he saw arms and the sword of the enemy blurring. In that short window of time, Aion reacted and raised his hammer. He didn't even see the attack coming, but something hit his hammer and pushed him backward for a few meters. As if that wasn't weird enough. The blast of wind hit his arms and his face and made some cuts appear on it, making it sting.

"The hell was that…" Aion thought while opening his eyes widely.
Before Aion could think of an answer, the enemy charged at him and swung the massive sword. This time, the enemy attacked with a horizontal strike aimed at Aion's left side. He moved his weapon to block it, but he wasn't only pushed backward. He was also raised from the ground… the enemy had some magic effects on his arsenal, but he also had brute strength at his disposal.
Before Aion could fall, the enemy attacked again. Still, Aion swung his weapon when he activated Stunning Blow. Both weapons collided, and Aion hasn't pushed away. The sound of metal colliding echoed through hundreds of meters. Aion had his chance to land, and when the next horizontal attack came, he swung his weapon downward… defending wasn't a good idea in that kind of situation.
After the impact, both of them were pushed away… usually, Aion would think that they had the same level of strength. Still, a weird feeling was bothering him… he could tell that the enemy wasn't giving his best. He probably knew about his family and thus about Inner Force… he wouldn't use all of his strength until Aion forces him.
Aion saw the enemy assuming the ox guard stance again… he wasn't in a hurry since he knew that those three couldn't stop them forever. While looking in the distance, Aion could see the army of his allies approaching. Still, he also could tell that the frozen gate was being attacked… it wouldn't be surprising if the enemy soldiers were leaving using the other gates as well.
"I suppose it can't be helped…" Aion thought and then used Inner Force and Fury. There was no point in holding back against that level of opponent..
When he used Fury for the first time, Aion realized that Fury wasn't much better than Inner Force. In fact, it was considerably weaker. The reason for that was the fact that Inner Force drained his vital and spiritual energy. While Fury consumes his Vital Energy, it also makes him feel the pain of that… it is like suffering the pain caused by an attack that ignores his defenses… and he suffers all that pain inside his body.
Aion's speed and power increased so much that it made the hair on the back of Ugren stand. In the blink of an eye, he also enveloped his body with an Aura that Aion recognized… It was barely visible, but his entire body was covered by wind armor.
The weapons collided when Aion charged, and a powerful shockwave pushed away all the plants and sand around those two. Aion thought that such a combination would make him win in a few seconds, but to think that his enemy had that kind of skill… He probably enhanced his arms and sword with that Aura and attacked the space in front of him to fire a pressurized blade of wind…
Aion and Ugren didn't take a single step, and they just swung their weapons and kept ignoring the fact that the shock waves caused by their attacks were forcing everyone to move away… It was too loud and made people feel like their heads were about to split up.
"What the hell is that kid…" Vanessa thought while moving away from the shockwaves.
Vanessa couldn't even see the weapons moving, and she could only sense countless impacts. They were so powerful that they made some soldiers that approached being blasted away, and when they got up, their ears were bleeding.
Vanessa knew that Ugren was the best swordsman in the Rosberg kingdom, but no one knew how strong he was… He probably was using all of his power, and a single twelve years old boy could stop him…
"Talented with magic and with weapons at this young age… What would have happened to this kingdom if his mother had taught him that he should pursue revenge for her and her kingdom?" Vanessa wondered.
The thought alone made her feel shivers. Aion was strong, but he still was young and diligent. Some people think that the lineage of his mother is mutated people or that at least they received the Blessing of the goddess. Still, if that wasn't true and Aion's strength might make him mutate one day, he probably would become the scariest human in that world…
