Aion was aware of that, and that was why he had to hurry up… while he was flying, he wondered if something like that was happening because he had used the relics several times already. Even they should have some limitations, after all.
Aion checked if he could use his death knights, and while he could summon them, to his surprise, they couldn't move at all. That was really annoying… maybe if Aion could let them hold one of the relics… he would rather not take such risks. If the death knights couldn't move, Aion doubted that he could rely on anyone else aside from Fenhair and Celion.
Regardless, Aion flew toward the coast of the continent while using the necromancer class, and once he saw a mirror in the distance and a massive army near the beach, he changed his class to Demonic Berserker.
"What the hell…" Aion furrowed his eyebrows when he recognized the monsters in the distance.
Blue humanoid creatures that had thick bodies. They walked on two legs, and they also had arms that held a weapon that resembled a bit of a trident. They also had fins and a fishlike head… they were Sahuagin. They were quite similar to the ones Aion had seen in games in his past life, so he couldn't help but flinch for a moment.
When Aion landed five hundred meters away, all the monsters turned to face him. They sure had good instincts, even though they didn't look that strong. Aion couldn't see their master, but it didn't matter. Aion just had to cross the portal.
"Hooooooooooooohhhhbbhh!" A woman's voice singing suddenly echoed in the area, and Aion could tell that it came from the mirror.
In the next moment, Aion could feel that the aura of the enemies changed, and he also felt something weird about that sound… it emitted waves of mana that were similar to when he used the skills of the bard class.
The monsters' skin suddenly looked more rugged as they assumed a formation and began to march toward him… it seemed that the song made them tougher, and that confirmed everything that Aion needed to know.
"I think you might be underestimating me a bit," Aion raised his ax and then prepared to fight.
All the enemies pointed their weapons at him and then charged. Aion just used Wrath and then did the same. Still, before they could do anything, Aion swung his axe left and right and then began to chop the heads of the monsters while invading their formation without a care in the world.

You obtained 500 experience points.
…
"Only five hundred points… as expected, she is seriously underestimating me by sending these small fries," Aion thought.
The enemies were unable to stop Aion, and while some of them managed to land a bit since he was only focused on killing them, Aion had to get hit more than a few times to actually be stopped. When his health dropped to the fifth percent, he just healed himself.
It didn't take long for Aion to see the mirror up close, and while he felt the urge to cross to the other side and deal with the enemy, he could tell that something was off… she didn't try to change her strategy. And she didn't make any more enemies appear. She was clearly baiting him.
Aion just turned to the side and kept slashing apart the enemies. He still had a lot of work ahead of him, so he might as well get to it.
"Heeeeeeeeehhhhbbhh!" The woman's voice singing suddenly echoed in the area again.
In the next moment, all the enemies jumped away, and then they opened their mouths before firing countless water darts toward Aion. He blocked most of those with his Bloody Ax while he dashed at them, but several others hit him, and they hurt like a bitch.
Aion just used that to fuel his anger even more before he reached them and killed three of the monsters with a single strike. The monsters kept jumping away while firing the water darts… all that made Aion think that perhaps he was facing another enemy. It wasn't the same that targeted the guardians.
The situation was weird… and Aion felt that something else was happening behind the scenes, so he used Force Release, and then he became like a tornado. The monsters barely could see him moving, and they certainly couldn't aim… it didn't take long until Aion saw himself surrounded by hundreds of bodies of those monsters around.
"All right, who will be next?" Aion asked once he approached the mirror.
Aion didn't hear anything in response… if it was a trap, he was supposed to listen to a taunt or something, and if the enemy didn't want to lure him in, she should just close the mirror already… or perhaps it could only close when she crosses it.
"You two, did you meet any enemy that had an army of fish men and that used her voice to make them stronger or tougher?" Aion asked, using his mind.
"I don't remember, and it is too much work to try to remember…" Celion said.
"... Yes, I remember such a person, she existed three thousand years ago, and she was one of those that tried to use time magic to change the past even further to rule the whole world by covering it in water," Fenhair replied. "She was the queen of the seas, and her name was Marriage."
"Queen of the seas, huh… " Aion rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Who the heck was she able to use time magic to connect the past and present without the relics?"
"That is indeed a good question," Fenhair replied.
Aion already knew that he didn't need confirmation that his question was a good one… in any case, to think that he was going to meet someone from three thousand years ago like that… life is really full of surprises.
