Chapter 59: Zhu Liang Strikes
Xia Tian planted his leg on Li Shan’s stomach, then picked up a chair and slammed it on Li Shan’s back. His actions mimicked Li Shan attacking Xue Chuan. However, the difference was that the stool was left intact before, but now the chair was shattered and debris was thrown everywhere.
“Brother Shan!!” The three lackeys immediately rushed in and pulled Li Shan up.
Xia Tian’s attack was not soft in the slightest. Li Shan could feel the fiery pain throbbing on his back and if Xia Tian had raised the stool any higher, Li Shan would have fainted then.
“What did you say? Could you say that again?” Xia Tian took another chair and sat in front of Li Shan.
You b*stard. How dare you hit me.” Li Shan stood back up with much difficulty. He could feel that his body was about to break apart.
Bam!
When Xia Tian stood up, he slammed the stool onto Li Shan’s back once more.
“Ah!” An audible cry came out from Li Shan’s mouth.
“Brother Shan!!” The few lackeys immediately stood in between Xia Tian and Li Shan.
“Please, repeat it for me.” Xia Tian smiled gently.
“Take me away.” Li Shan knew his body could not take much more. Although those wooden chairs were the restaurant’s secondary furniture, it was still painful when used as a weapon.
The three lackeys pulled Li Shan away and the restaurant supervisor was dumbfounded. Li Shan was notorious in this area. Not only would he bully the people here often, but he would tease and flirt with the female staff as well. Everyone was furious but they had kept their mouths shut in fear. However, today he witnessed a thin student beat Li Shan up this badly.
Huo Wennu and Tang Yan looked at Xia Tian with a complicated gaze. The fierce and intimidating Li Shan earlier had been dealt with by Xia Tian without difficulty.
On the other hand, Ye Qingxue and Bing Xin were already numb to this.
Yun Miao’s poker face was completely intact. Her expression was as cold as usual. Meanwhile, Ling’er had been watching with much interest.
“Are you alright?” Tang Yan looked at Xue Chuan and asked.
“I’m fine.” Xue Chuan shook his head. He did not expect the enemy would be this quick and that was the main reason why he was attacked.
“Can we eat now? I’m hungry.” Xia Tian asked the supervisor.
“Oh, of course. I’ll bring the dishes in now.” The supervisor broke out of his stupefied gaze and ran out hastily.
Huo Wennu picked up her phone on the ground and dialed a number.
“Look for a thug called Li Shan. I don’t want to see his face any longer.” Huo Wennu hung up the phone afterward. Although her words were simple and short, everyone in this cabin knew what they really meant.
Huo Wennu was really angry this time. That Li Shan’s life was approaching its end — he had offended someone he should not have.
“That was just a minor interruption, please, carry on.” Huo Wennu said indifferently
“It doesn’t affect me in the least, please tell them to hurry up with the dishes.” Xia Tian had not eaten for almost the entire day and he was truly getting hungry.
“What’s wrong with you? If you’re that amazing, why didn’t you make a move straight away?” Huo Wennu looked at Xia Tian angrily. Xue Chuan would not have taken the hit if Xia Tian were to stand up earlier, and neither would she be this angry.
“I thought you were amazing.” Xia Tian replied seriously.
“Alright Sister Wen. It’s all over anyway.” Ye Qingxue walked up and defused the situation.
“My idol, you’re truly amazing.” Ling’er looked at Xia Tian with great respect.
All the dishes were soon served to them. The restaurant had amazing business due to its unique dishes —they were of top-notch quality, and the portion was enough for everyone as well, which was the main two reasons that had attracted the crowd.
“I hope the incident earlier hasn’t soured everyone’s mood. I’d like to propose a toast to President Ye; everything that happened was my fault.” Xue Chuan was a forthright person — right was right and wrong was wrong.
Xue Chuan had once used his father’s identity to threaten Ye Qingxue. This was indeed something worth forgetting. In fact, he would not have done anything to the literature and art club even if Ye Qing Xue disagreed.
“It’s fine, everything is already in the past.” Ye Qingxue smiled gently as she finished the glass of alcohol.
“My second toast is to Sister Huo. I’ve caused you a lot of trouble,” Xue Chuan said once more.
“Yes.” Huo Wennu did not act formally as she nodded and finished the glass of alcohol in her hand.
“This third glass is for Mr. Xia Tian. I, Xue Chuan have never been impressed with anyone before, but you’re the first.” Xue Chuan was a proud man, especially when it came to basketball. None of the CBA stars managed to impress him at all except for the people that could win him.
“I’m not going to drink it. This tastes horrible,” Xia Tian said.
“Xia Tian, do you have a problem with giving face to other people?” Huo Wennu was starting to get more and more annoyed at Xia Tian.
“I’ll drink in his stead.” Bing Xin, who had been sitting quietly beside Xia Tian, took away the glass of alcohol in front of Xia Tian and finished it in one gulp.
Her actions left everyone agape. What was her relationship with Xia Tian? Why would she drink on his behalf?
Bam!
The cabin’s door was kicked open.
“Brother Liang, it’s them. They’re the ones who hurt Brother Shan.” That man was none other than the green-haired man that made his escape earlier.
“Those who dare to attack Zhu Liang’s brother are tired of being alive.” The bald and fierce-looking leader looked at the lot in the cabin. He too was stunned when he saw the cabin filled with beautiful ladies and soon became calm.
“Listen well. You’re talking to someone from the Huo Family. If you know who I am, turn around and get the f*ck out of here.” Huo Wennu was very angry today.
“I don’t care if you’re from the fire family or the water family (TN: Author has made a pun here. Huo (火) means fire and Shui(水) means water.). I, Zhu Liang have been out in the world for a long time and I’ve never been afraid of anyone. I’ve met plenty of people when I helped developers solve their problems. Being tactful has never been in my blood.” Zhu Liang used his left hand to touch his head and one could see that his left thumb was missing. He had chopped it off himself.
“Why are there so many thugs popping up today.” Huo Wennu was speechless against these people. The Huo Family’s influence was definitely something not to be ignored within Jianghai City. However, these thugs did not seem to recognize the Huo Family at all.
The green-haired man immediately tried to snatch away Huo Wennu’s phone when he saw that she was about to make a call. “Don’t even think about calling the police.”
“Are you people stupid!? I have no intention of calling the police!!” Huo Wennu screamed angrily.
The situation in the cabin had attracted a crowd but none of them dared to call the police. Zhu Liang was no ordinary character as he was notorious for his fierce personality. He led Li Shan and the gang to help the developers deal with troublesome problems.
He was notorious for his fierce attacks. Once, they had started a brawl with someone in this very restaurant and one of the staff members had secretly reported it to the police. The police came and brought them away but they were released on the second day. Soon, the staff member that had reported the incident had his legs broken.
Since then, the restaurants nearby did not dare to mess with him whenever he went to dine in. Zhu Liang and Li Shan’s gang had made a reputation for themselves on their own.
However, they were nothing but thugs at the lowest level of society. It would be impossible for them to not have heard of the Huo family.
“Who’s the one that injured Lil Shan?” Zhu Liang did not wish to argue with the ladies and he was only there to punish the one who attacked his brother. He wanted to show everyone that they were not people that could be easily trifled with.
“It’s him, he’s the one who hurt Brother Shan that badly.” The green-haired man pointed at Xia Tian.
“Everyone, attack him at once. Cripple his legs!” Zhu Liang waved as he ordered the men behind him.
