When I went to the drawing-room, I was met with a fancy dress that was prepared for me at some point (I knew not when or how). It was a dress fit for someone about to marry the crown prince of the kingdom.

“…Ah, pink, I see,” I said.

The dress that had been prepared for me was pink. Not only that, it was full of ostentatious frills. It didn’t seem like it would match my slender frame at all. It was probably another attempt to anger me.

“…I wonder who prepared this for me,” I said, calmly. If this was the old me, I would have frowned at this dress that didn’t suit me. I would have frowned as if I had just bitten down on a stinkbug.

“Lord Naaotto directed its choosing,” said Margarita.

“I see,” I said.

It appeared Lord Naaotto had prepared this dress – a dress that a man with a taste for little girls would prefer.

“I wonder if there are no other dresses?” I said.

“…I’m very sorry, but, there’s no time to prepare anything else,” said Margarita, lowering her head.

“…I see,” I said.

Still, I hesitated to wear this dress as Lord Naaotto expected me to. I stood there for a while, wondering what to do.

I arrived at a conclusion.

“With the guards as they are now, I wonder if it would be safe for me to slip out for just a moment?” I asked.

“What? Um, yes. Since you healed everyone, Lady Rachel, thankfully there is nobody around right now who is under the influence of Lord Naaotto’s blood. I believe you could slip out safely, at the moment. However, you must change into your dress, so there is not much time. Would you be able to return in around 30 minutes?” asked Margarita.

I could easily return in under 30 minutes. After all, I was just going to my house to get a dress.

“I will go get my dress and accessories. Don’t worry – I’ll make sure I am back within 30 minutes,” I said.

“Um, Uh, Yes. Please be careful, Lady Rachel,” said Margarita.

Up until now, the castle had been teeming with people under Lord Naaotto’s blood’s influence, so it was difficult to teleport freely, but now there were almost no people under his control. If I slipped out for just a moment, there was a low chance that I would be caught doing so by Lord Naaotto.

It was true that I could go get Edward and the others and flee right at that moment, but that wasn’t really an option. There were still many things to do at this castle.

“Ah, good. It’s still here,” I said.

I had teleported to my room in the emperor’s palace. I thought that perhaps because I had fled from the emperor’s crown prince, all of my things would be gone, but they were still there.

If my room had not remained the way it was, I would have had to start searching for my dress elsewhere. Well, if that were true, my dress would have probably been at my house.

There was no one in my room at the palace, though. Not even the lady servants that followed me around were there. Everything was left the way it was when I was staying there.[Read this novel and other amazing translated novels from the original source at the “Novel Multiverse dot com” website @ novelmultiverse.com]

Not only that, I didn’t know if the place had been cleaned, but there was dust gathering in the room. It was unlikely that lady servants working for the emperor’s crown prince would neglect their cleaning duties, so it was probably a direct order from Edward.

“Don’t enter this room,” he may have said to them. I would have to check with Edward later.

I picked up the dress and luxurious accessories that Edward had given me for when we got married. My storage area hadn’t been touched, either. The dress had been stored neatly, and so it wasn’t wrinkled or stained in any way. It was absolutely ready to be worn immediately.

I had only worn it once before, and so it was as good as new. It was a dress made more than a year ago, so I thought that it may look outdated, but since it had a simple design to it that didn’t follow any trends, it was good for wearing on this day, and it wouldn’t be embarrassing at all.

As soon as I had this dress in my hands, I teleported over to the drawing-room of the Yakkumoon Kingdom’s castle.

“Welcome back, Lady Rachel,” said Margarita.

“Yes, thank you. Has anything out of the ordinary happened?” I asked.

As I had returned to the Yakkumoon Kingdom, Margarita and Margerita welcomed me. The two of them showed no surprise due to my sudden appearance. They were good lady servants.

“Nothing particularly out of the ordinary,” said Margarita.

“Oh, by the way – the Hazurattoon Empire’s emperor wishes to participate in the ceremony. He has just arrived, and is waiting in the anteroom,” said Margerita, letting me know that the emperor had arrived here.

That made sense. This was, after all, Lord Naaotto’s declaration of becoming a crown prince. He had to have sent word to the emperor of Hazurattoon. On top of that, the emperor was being controlled with Lord Naaotto’s blood. Lord Naaotto had apparently made him drink it.

I didn’t know when or how Lord Naaotto had managed to feed him the blood, but it wasn’t an obvious poison that could be identified as soon as it was fed to someone. It was probably fed to him discreetly so that he couldn’t even tell.

“I will have to put some healing magic on the emperor, too. I may even have to put healing magic on the other guests from various countries,” I said.

“When I looked into it earlier, I found that each country has at least one person, and probably more under Lord Naaotto’s control,” reported Margerita.

It appeared that Margerita was doing some spying, as well. She had information of all kinds.

“Thank you. I will have to put healing magic on those people, too,” I said.

“Yes. I also looked into the people living in the lands around the castle, and at least 100 people are under Lord Naaotto’s control there,” said Margerita.

“I see. That is a very large number of people. I guess the reason for his numerous recent departures was to make people drink his blood,” I said.

“I think that that is probably correct,” said Margerita.

“Will those people be gathered here for the ceremony?” I asked.

“Yes. I’m sure that they will gather here. Lord Naaotto has already ordered them to come,” she said.

If they were all going to gather in one place for me, it would be very easy for me. I could simply apply my healing magic on them all at once. However, I had no experience with casting healing magic on more than 10 people at once.

I wondered if I had enough magical power to manage to apply healing magic to more than 100 people at once.

No. It was not a matter of whether I could. It had to be done. I wasn’t alone, after all. I had Edward with me and Yuki. Lord Yaakummo was on my side, too. Rather, we were all on Lord Yaakummo’s side, and Lord Yaakummo was probably depending on my healing magic.

“It is almost time for the ceremony, isn’t it?” I asked.

“Yes. Your clothes suit you,” said Margerita.

“Thank you,” I said.

Now, it was time to go to Lord Naaotto’s final battleground.

We had to bring everything to an end.[Read this novel and other amazing translated novels from the original source at the “Novel Multiverse dot com” website @ novelmultiverse.com]
