I was led to a hall with a large balcony.

Guests from various countries were already there. Of course, the emperor from the Hazurattoon Empire was sitting gloriously on a sofa prepared for him. The emperor glanced over at me but didn’t say anything in particular. This was despite the fact that he probably knew that I was Lord Edward’s fiancée.

Under normal circumstances, if his country’s crown prince’s fiancée had suddenly become another country’s crown prince’s fiancée, you would think that he would at least furrow his brow. However, he made no such expression. It was as if it was already decided that he would make no reaction.

As I sat in the seat prepared for me, I looked over my surroundings. I saw many people there who had been at the wedding ceremony Edward and I held together. Yet, none of them seemed surprised to see me. They simply sat, gazing forward indifferently. Not one person was having a friendly conversation. It was a creepy scene to behold.

Usually, it would seem extremely strange that all of these people had been invited to a ceremony, and yet they were all just sitting still without conversing with each other. These events, where representatives from various countries gathered, were usually an integral part of aristocratic social intercourse, and an opportunity for people to further diplomatic relations.

Despite the fact that the ceremony had not started yet, everyone was sitting in silence. Normally, this would have been a shockingly unthinkable situation. Not only that, there were almost no smiles in the crowd.

No, that wasn’t quite it – there was no emotion there whatsoever. It was as if these were not people sitting here, but elaborate puppets.

I decided I would apply my healing magic upon them before Lord Naaotto arrived.

There were about twenty people in total. I was doubtful about whether or not I could apply healing magic on all of them at once, but I had no other choice.

I gathered my magical energy and quickly began concentrating it. Then, I dispersed the magical power upon all of these guests from various countries that were being controlled by Lord Naaotto’s blood.

“Ray! Why are you not wearing the dress I bestowed upon you?!” Lord Naaotto shouted. He had arrived just as I was applying the healing magic. He had started yelling at me angrily as soon as he saw me. I was not surprised, though. After all, I wasn’t wearing the dress he had prepared for me.

“And on top of that! This is the dress you wore during your marriage ceremony with Lord Edward!! Ray! Are you trying to make a fool out of me?! You’re going to go change, immediately! Who the hell gave this dress to my Ray?!” Lord Naaotto yelled. His voice was out of control – even more so than I expected.

“It was me,” I said.

“What?! You drank my blood, didn’t you?! You shouldn’t be able to defy me!” shouted Lord Naaotto.

“I did defy you. After all, I never even drank your blood,” I said.[Read this novel and other amazing translated novels from the original source at the “Novel Multiverse dot com” website @ novelmultiverse.com]

“What?! What do you mean?! I ordered the cooks to mix my blood in with your meal! You ate that meal before my very eyes. I saw it,” said Lord Naaotto.

Lord Naaotto was shouting and berating me, paying no mind to all of the representatives of various countries all around us. He was probably under the impression that every person here was his yes-man.

I had already applied my healing magic on all of these people, though. They should have returned to normal by now.

On top of that, Lord Naaotto’s voice was actually being broadcast throughout the castle grounds with Makoto’s magnificent magical tools.

The people who had gathered at the castle were not all under Lord Naaotto’s blood spell. While it was true that more than half of the townspeople were under Lord Naaotto’s blood’s control, there were many people who had come from beyond the lands near the castle to see the ceremony. We had planned to let all of those hear Lord Naaotto’s true voice.

“My god! Are you saying that you meant to control me and make me your slave?!” I exclaimed in a loud voice.

“You ought to just listen to me, Ray. You should be hopeless. I want to see your face twisted in sorrow,” said Lord Naaotto.

“M-My god! H-how horrible!” I shouted.

“Hah! I am going to be king of this world. You were chosen to be my wife. You should be happy about that,” said Lord Naaotto, snickering through his nose.

“There are many countries in this world, and each of those countries has its own royal families. How could you ever become the king of the entire world?” I asked.

“Hah! I’ve already had all of the royalty from each country drink my blood. They are all already in the palm of my hand. That’s why I’ll be king of this world in no time,” said Lord Naaotto.

“What?! You’ve had all of the royalty of all of these countries drink your blood?!” I shouted in mock exasperation.

All this time, I knew that Yuki and Lord Yaakummo had also been searching out people who were under Lord Naaotto’s control and applying healing magic to them, too. I wanted to take my time with Lord Naaotto to make sure all of those people heard what he had to say, too.

“That’s right. All of the royalty in power right now are my slaves, too. My blood’s power is unstoppable. If I can get everyone to drink my blood, everything will be under my control. Hahaha!” laughed Lord Naaotto.

“Won’t your life be boring if everyone just becomes your yes-man?” I asked.

“Of course not! No one would ever speak out against me ever again. That is a wonderful thing,” said Lord Naaotto. I wondered if everyone was hearing him speak.

I discreetly shifted my line of sight and looked over the people within the room. I saw that all of the people within the room from the Yakkumoon Kingdom besides the king were looking on with shocked, pale faces. They had apparently realized that they were being controlled, too.

As Lord Naaotto continued talking, the din in the crowd grew louder and louder. It seemed that slowly, all of the representatives of various countries in the crowd were slowly recovering from their initial shock. All of the voices in the crowd were calling Lord Naaotto an abomination and a danger to the people. These voices were getting louder and louder.

“Hmm? What’s all of this commotion? I’m speaking right now. All of you pawns are not to speak while I speak!” cried Lord Naaotto.[Read this novel and other amazing translated novels from the original source at the “Novel Multiverse dot com” website @ novelmultiverse.com]
