Chapter 832: The Events Of The Previous Week

A week had already passed but Yvonne never got the chance to meet the one whom she was eager to spend time with.

Damien never returned to the St. Claire mansion after that day but the little girl wouldn’t care even if he never showed up ever again.

However, she sulked at the thought of not being able to meet that adorable-looking pup if this continued.

Right now, she was with Lady Belophane who had come by once again for their next class together.

Earlier, Yvonne had expected to find a young boy with the lady when she entered this room but was surprised to notice that she had appeared alone.

When the dance tutor had caught this curious gaze, she had revealed that the Earl had been informed about the identity of her partner but they would need his approval before they could begin.

The child’s questions regarding who her partner would be were once again not answered and thus the class had carried on with her being in a sour mood at being kept in the dark.

.....

Not giving her a chance to be absent-minded in her class, Lady Belophane had been strict with her which caused her to be focused only on their lessons for the next two hours.

Only after their time together had come to an end did the lady allow the child to leave this room.

As Yvonne walked back towards her room, she thought back to everything that had taken place over the course of the last week since Howard had returned home.

Just as she had stated previously, meeting Captain Desmo had been on her elder brother’s mind and he heaved a sigh of relief only after greeting the older man when he came to train her on the weekday.

After assessing him, the Captain had praised Howard for having improved in the past six months and even encouraged him to do better.

Floating high up in the clouds after receiving such kind words from his idol, Howard had trained with his sister and the Captain that morning.

This was when he realized why the little girl’s progress had been so spectacular within such a short period of their separation.

Witnessing the ruthless methods of the Captain and finding Yvonne struggling but still being able to keep up with his training had been an eye-opener to him.

What she was learning was similar to the training he had undergone at the Academy a few years ago.

However, discovering that the same was being taught to a young girl who was physically weaker than other boys and even had such delicate skin had widened his eyes.

Though he did not let his surprise hold him back, especially after seeing his sister doing her best to impress the Captain.

He had decided to train with them during the two weeks he would remain in the Capital and had done just that.

Yvonne’s progress thus far had made her an excellent companion for him to train with and the Captain’s timely advice to help them improve had been used to its full extent.

Therefore, for the past week, Howard had been training with her and the Captain in the morning hours and would drag Jax and the secret guards in the evenings.

When Yvonne was asked to join them in the evening, she straight away declined his offer by stating that she would rather sleep than subject her little body to more torture than what the Captain had been so kind to put her through during their morning classes.

Since the Royal Academy had given the boys this two-week vacation to relax and recuperate after that severely stressful six-month-long schedule they had followed, no homework had been assigned to them.

Best

Therefore, they were free to either slack off or work hard, depending on what they desired to do.

Howard used this time to train his swordsmanship skills twice a day then relax for the remaining period.

During this last week, Taylor was also put through similar circumstances but did not forget to come by every chance he got.

He would have been here more often if it had not been for his elder brother and father who keep a strict eye on him so that he might train with his new etcher and build a stronger bond with it.

Thus in the last week, he had only entered the St. Claire mansion to meet his sister twice after their initial reunion.

Topher too never showed up as he was busy with not just managing his younger brother’s schedule but also dealing with the numerous responsibilities his father had laid on his shoulders.

The second half of this year would be the last for the boys his age who were studying at the Royal Academy.

Once they graduated and held their coming-of-age ceremonies, they would become adults in their society.

Topher would then have to shoulder these responsibilities anyway so the Duke was only helping him get familiarized with them ahead of time.

Howard was also being introduced to a few of the activities that needed the Fief Lord’s attention but he wasn’t as busy as Topher.

There were two reasons for this, one was Raylene who did not want her son to be burdened during the short time that he was at home and the second was due to the fact that there was still time for Howard to graduate so he could learn at a moderate pace for now.

Taylor could not stop by as often as he wished and Yvonne was busy with her classes during the day with Marquess Samed.

However, Howard was free during this time so he decided that he could visit another friend of his whom he had been eager to meet once again.

He had been to Sevenz’s mansion a few times already so the Butler there was welcoming even if Yvonne did not accompany him.

The Young Master of the St. Claire family did not care if the master of the household, Sevenz, was present or was busy with the matters of Ocular Caravans.

After all, he was here to meet Sept, his new friend and also his sparring partner in the past.

He had heard from Yvonne that Sept was still in the Kingdom but never came by the St. Claire mansion.

Therefore, after he returned and found the time, Howard had gone to meet Sept who had also warmed up to this new person he had met a few times already.

Though he still continued to be stingy with his words, the young nephew of the Master of Ocular Caravans was an excellent swordsman which was enough for Howard to be interested.

He had been to Sevenz’s mansion a few times in the last week already to spend time with Sept and it appeared that he would continue to do the same in the remaining time he would be in the Capital.

Even right now, since Yvonne had been busy with her dance class, Howard had gone to Sevenz’s place along with Taylor to spend some time with Sept.

Meanwhile, the little girl reached her room and changed out of her heavy clothes, putting on a lightweight and flowy white dress with lavenders embroidered all over it.

She had just stepped out of the bathroom when she heard the door being knocked on.

It wasn’t yet time for lunch and neither would her parents disturb her rest so she wondered who might be outside.

“Boss, the Madam had asked for you.” She heard Jax’s voice from the corridor, revealing that it was her butler who had just knocked.

‘Mama?’ Yvonne frowned as there was no reason for her mother to summon her right now.

However, she was also aware that her mother would not have called for her if it had not been for something important.

Keeping this in mind, she replied to her subordinate, stating that she would be right out.

A few moments later, Yvonne walked out of her room with her hair slightly damp, leaving it loose to cascade down her shoulders, as she moved, alongside Jax, to the Parlor where her mother would be.

Upon reaching her destination, Butler Limo who was standing outside the room hurried to hold the door open when he noticed her presence.

“Vonny, look who is here!” Raylene’s excited voice reached the child’s ears the moment she stepped inside.
