Chapter 152 - Thank You, Uncle!

The rustle of the leaves from the back coupled with the words that he heard from his brother made him unable to choose where to look at.

Finally, King Ophire chose to focus his eyes on the boy.

When he heard what had just escaped his little brother's mouth, he directed his wide-opened eyes towards the young boy sitting next to him.

"Of course not!" He exclaimed with a staunch shake of the head indicating that what Draco was assuming was not the truth.

Princess Felicia covered her mouth to muffle the giggle that had almost escaped her lips.

Draco had noticed her actions and glimpsed at her with a subtle smile appearing on his face.

The sly glance from her uncle gave her the courage to move out of the bushes and towards where they had been seated.

By the time that his daughter appeared before him and went straight to his little brother's seat rather than sitting next to him, King Ophire realized that he had been played like a fool in their hands.

'These kids are so mischievous.' He sighed while an indulgent smile appeared on his face.

However, he was not upset in the least bit but was instead pleased to see that these children had such a great bond between them.

Draco sighed when he noticed the untidy appearance of his niece who was a few years younger than him.

"Look at what you have done to yourself." He chided her which made her giggle in response.

The next moment she raised his hand and began picking out all of the leaves which had gotten entangled in her lustrous blonde hair.

Once he was done with his task, Draco made sure that every single leaf was out of her hair and then leaned towards the table.

King Ophire smiled as he watched his brother serving cakes and cookies with tea to the little girl who had popped by unannounced.

"Thank you, Uncle!" The lovely and well-mannered Princess of the land thanked him as she accepted the treats from his hand.

The only one missing in this beautiful scene was the male lead of the script, Prince Fritzen, as he was still in the Academy.

The young prince did not have the leisure or the freedom like Howard and Taylor to stay back at the Royal Academy for the entire month.

Queen Zena would never allow her beloved son to spend a single day out of his sight and hence he would be back home in the evening after his classes would come to an end.

Thus, the young prince would constantly travel back and forth between the Royal Palace and the Royal Academy on a daily basis.

Today as well, he was supposed to be back before the sunset but a sudden task at the Academy had delayed his arrival.

Since the trusted Royal Guards were there for his protection as he arrived and left from the Academy, the King and Queen were not so worried at this delay.

'Frit must be getting back home soon.' The King speculated as he watched the sun setting in the distance.

Coming out of his thoughts, King Ophire shook his head at the little girl who was chomping down on the slice of cake as though she never got to eat one for ages.

'So clumsy!' He expressed when he noticed that the corner of her lips was smeared with the soft pink strawberry flavored cream of the cake she had just eaten.

Draco was observant enough to notice his line of sight and since he was next to the little girl, he pulled out his handkerchief and wiped the cream off her face.

Princess Felicia did not mind his actions as the one who would pamper her the most after her father was this uncle of hers.

In the script, this excessive love and care she received from both her uncle and big brother was the cause for her blackening further upon the arrival of the female lead, Hilda in their lives.

Once Hilda made her entrance, everything would change as though the world revolved around her.

As the two men grew closer to the newcomer, they had failed to divide their attention in an appropriate manner and the one who faced all the losses was Felicia.

Being used to the position of being the apple of their eyes from a young age, she had to cope with the lack of attention and that was something new to her.

The jealousy that the love and attention that was in her share was being splurged upon Hilda was one of the main reasons why she had acted against that other woman.

She had even chosen to support Glennise Brodie in her desire to get closer to Fritzen as this would drive Hilda away from her family.

However, the only thing the three young girls, Princess Felicia Rosenhyde, Glennise Brodie, and Yvonne St. Claire had managed to achieve was to garner hatred from these two men and also the members of the noble society.

Since none of these events had taken place and they were still innocent children, untainted by the dark clouds of the society they lived in, Felicia giggled at her uncle and carried on eating her cake.

'This is how little girls should behave like… Not like that child from the St. Claire family!' Draco scoffed at the memories he had of the little girl with violet hair and amethyst eyes.

The King had nothing to do or say as certain things could not be spoken about in the presence of the little girl, for example, the topic of the missing etcher which was still stuck on his mind.

'I might have agreed to not look for it since Draco had asked me to but that does not mean that I have put away my curiosity to know what has happened to that beautiful horse.' He inferred and looked at the open skies which they were sitting under.

He still could not understand why his brother had not even given a chance to the etcher they had been given in tribute by the neighboring kingdom.

'I am still sure that the etcher could only have a worthy master like my Draco!' He declared in confidence, unaware that the etcher had already formed the bond with his fated master.

He had intended to question Draco during this little tea time however that plan was thwarted once Felicia had shown up.

The only reason that Draco had given Yvonne that chance to escape the King's wrath for snatching away the gift that was intended for him was simple.

He was amused with this anomaly and only wished to know more about what this weird and unconventional little girl would do with the gift that was given to her by the gods up above.

However, the King would not get a chance to hear about this for now as Princess Felicia was with them.

Since the women were already deemed unworthy to have an etcher there was no use of speaking about it before the little girl and later make her feel bad about it.

If Yvonne were to hear these thoughts of the King then she would have scoffed at him while riding on the etcher who was fated to her.
