The first day of the week arrived and it was time for Yvonne to present the report on her home assignment to Marquess Samed in the afternoon.
As she awaited the man's arrival in her study room, she recalled everything that had happened over the weekend and this morning.
When she had taken her nap and then awoken just before dinner, she was led to the dining room where they had a peaceful dinner.
Rutherford had even offered to let her use his office if she ever needed to study the map which hung upon his wall.
The little girl had gratefully accepted his offer as she could certainly use his map in the future and then was led back to her room.
When she woke up the next morning, the first thing she did was attend her class with Captain Desmo Reel.
The Captain had asked her and Demon to continue with the horse riding lesson just like he did the previous day.
Later on, Yvonne was free for the rest of the day and hence she began her wild goose chase of attempting to find the entrance of the Lower Hall.
Sadly, no matter how hard she tried looking for it, Yvonne could not figure out where the entrance to this dungeon was.
'I will find it and then sneak into it by whatever means necessary!' She vowed and pumped her fists in the air.
Since Marquess Samed had yet to arrive at their mansion, Mrs. Jacinth was still inside the room with Yvonne.
Noticing these actions of her young miss, the old maid was once again confused as she tried to decipher what those gestures meant.
'Does the young miss have an ache in her arm? Is that why she keeps moving her arm in that way?' She wondered and decided to speak to the Madam about this some other time.
While the servant and master were lost in their own thoughts, the door was pushed open and the man who had entered the room was met with the sight of two absent-minded people.
'She even influenced the maid to be lost in her thoughts.' Marquess Samed confirmed as he shook his head.
"Ahem" He cleared his throat which brought them back to their senses.
Yvonne sat up straight while the maid bowed to the Marquess and hurried to leave the room.
"Have you completed y-" Marquess Samed could not complete his sentence once he noticed the child's actions.
Her outstretched hand which held a bunch of papers indicated that she had completed the assignment he had given to her.
'What is this hurry for?' The little girl wondered as she observed the man who took his seat before her.
Marquess Samed had neither greeted her nor had he allowed her to greet him as the first thing he had inquired about after entering the room was the status of the assignment.
'Sure~ Check it all you want, you will not be able to find any mistakes in it!' Yvonne smirked once the report had been snatched away from her hand.
This confidence she had that the man who was perusing her work would not find any faults in it laid in the fact that Rutherford had checked her work beforehand.
'He did not hesitate to point out my mistakes and then helped me in correcting them.' She remembered and then let out a soft chuckle.
Once the Marquess was done grading her report, he nodded in approval and set it aside.
Yvonne stopped her chuckle and then stared at this man with her scrutinizing eyes.
'Not only did he leave in a haste the last time, this time as well he is acting strange and not his usual self.' She judged after giving it a moment's thought.
"Is everything alright, Marquess?" She inquired while furrowing her brows together.
Sullivan Samed looked up at her and then gave her another nod.
"The assignment was done well. Good work, Miss St. Claire." He praised her with a smile.
'I wasn't asking about that as I already know exactly how good my report is!' She rolled her eyes but stayed silent.
If the Marquess was not willing to share with her whatever it was that was troubling him then she would not pester him further about it.
However, what was troubling this young man was none other than the little girl's query from their last meeting.
Over the weekend, Marquess Samed had a gloomy air surrounding him and even the butler of the Samed House did not know what to do about it.
The question of whether the Marquess had an etcher of his own was like a thorn that had pierced his heart and he spent the last two days locked inside his room as he sulked like a child.
It was only due to his obligations of teaching the Royal Princess and her playmates the first thing in the morning that he had managed to get out of bed.
After his class with Princess Felicia and the others, he was once again in a depressed state when he was reminded of the fact that he had to face this child once again.
Unknown to the thoughts inside her tutor's mind, Yvonne had already forgotten about and moved on from the sensitive inquiry that she had made regarding the Marquess' etcher.
'If only I could find my fated!' He cried out in his heart yet did not let the sadness appear on his face.
One of the reasons why he was reluctant to take up a full-time teaching job at the Royal Academy and instead taught the little girls of the high noble families was also this.
The fact that he had not met his etcher and formed a bond was his weakness which he did not want others to know and point out.
Therefore he chose to stay away from those places where he would be reminded that he did not have an etcher which was sometimes equated to the worth of the man.
When he was once again reminded of this shortcoming of his, the embers in his heart that had been on the verge of putting out were once again ignited.
'If my student can find her fated at such a young age and being a girl at that then there is still hope for me to find mine as well!' He declared in his heart and was adamant about following through with it.
His will to find his etcher at any cost possible was invigorated and he sat up straight with an enthusiasm which had been absent until now.
'What is wrong with him today? One moment he looks like he has lost his spirit and the next moment he looks like he is energetic.' She observed the changes occurring on her tutor's face.
While she was watching him, he looked up and into her eyes before uttering a single sentence.
"I have decided to quit my job as a tutor from this day forward!" Marquess Samed announced in a clear and calm voice as he rose from his seat.
'Man who made me work over the weekend, say what!?' She choked on air as she stared at her tutor with her eyes wide open.
