The others at the table stared at the little girl who ladled the cream in generous portions onto the muffin mistaken as a cupcake placed on her plate.
The baker was frowning as he noticed his precious cream being wasted on the cake.
Yvonne ignored the varying expressions on everyone's faces as she continued smothering the cake with the sweetly scented cream.
Soon, she had managed to make the cupcake look like the one from her old world which she had loved to binge on while at work.
The baker stared at the treat in the child's hand with his eyes narrowed as though he was trying to dissect it.
'I wish I had a piping bag.' She shook her head in dismay as all she had to work with was the spoon that was brought out along with the bowl full of cream.
She twisted the cupcake around to make sure that she had coated the entire top layer with a generous portion of the strawberry cream.
After giving it a proper look over, she glanced up at the man who was staring at her without taking his eyes off of the treat in her hand for a single second.
"Here." She uttered as she raised the dessert in her hand towards him.
The maids and the girls widened their eyes at the girl who had dared to offer her meal to a commoner as this was something that rarely occurred.
In a society that had strict differentiation between the nobles and commoners, this act of hers was seen as something unimaginable.
'So we can eat what they cook but they cannot eat what they cook for us?' She felt the urgent need to roll her eyes but refrained as there were many eyes on her.
"Are you declining to obey my order?" She raised her voice at the baker who shook his head with fear arising in his eyes.
The laws of this world were fickle at best, though the commoners were restricted from doing many things there was something that they had to do at all costs.
That was, to obey the orders given by a noble as long as they did not break any rules of the Kingdom.
The women and children with Yvonne regained their composure soon after she had uttered those words, which had proved what Yvonne had realized after her short stay in this world.
Just like the last time that she had tricked Mrs. Jacinth, all Yvonne had to do was threaten the man with her noble birth and he would have to adhere to her wishes.
The baker was no different from her nanny as he shook his head in ardent refusal following which he accepted the dessert that he had made.
He focussed his keen gaze on the dessert and then under the watchful eyes of the people inside the store, he took a bite out of the cake.
The first bite was soon followed by the second and the third.
The children gulped their saliva as they watched the man consume the entire cake without wincing for a second or making a grumpy face as one usually would.
Even Raylene was confused when she saw this strange occurrence as she was also one of the people who had sent the cupcake back when she had come over to this store with her friends.
The server was also frowning as he watched the baker lick his fingers once he had eaten the entire cake.
"That was all it took?" The baker muttered to himself in defeat.
He had tried so many things but had never thought of dousing the cake in cream as he did for the rest of his masterpieces.
'Yea… I don't blame you for that.' Yvonne sympathized with him as she still blamed the god who created this world.
The god who created this world had not felt any major changes occurring in his world and therefore he was enjoying the vacation that he and his disciple, Theo were taking at this moment.
The warm sun's rays as they laid on the beach in a faraway world of a different timeline was soothing enough to make him forget about all his troubles whose large part was the child he had sent to the world he had created.
As he had not been notified, he tossed all other thoughts aside and continued to sun-bathed to give himself a beautiful and glistening tan as he laid on that deserted yet breathtaking beach
Back in the world where he had tossed that child,
Yvonne nodded after hearing the baker's mutters indicating that all he needed was this simple trick.
Glennise and Rika had observed how the man had relished the new version of the cupcakes which made them want to have a taste as well.
The amethyst eyes had captured their desire soon enough which made its owner giggle while covering her mouth with the handkerchief.
"Can you bring us the improved cupcakes, Mr. Baker?" She requested with a smile that melted the man's troubled heart.
Just as he was about to leave, Yvonne glanced at the little girls who were sitting with her.
"Three, please!" She added and glanced at the girls who showed grateful and excited smiles.
Within a few minutes, the baker had come back with the server who carried a tray in his hands.
The design of the icing that he had swirled onto the cupcakes was much better than what Yvonne had done.
'He is a professional after all!' She praised as she appraised the new cupcake placed before her.
The swirls of cream were topped with freshly cut pieces of strawberries which was a brilliant addition on his part.
Yvonne did not hesitate as she took the first bite of the dessert that she had waited long enough to taste.
"Hmm…" She moaned in appreciation for the taste that had assaulted her taste buds.
The trepidation on Glennise and Rika's face faded away when they saw that the little girl was enjoying her dessert.
Soon the three girls finished their treat but to their joy, the baker had placed a second piece.
While they were enjoying this second cupcake, the baker and server went around the store to distribute it among the few customers who remained in the store.
Raylene and a couple who sat in a hidden corner enjoyed this special treat with praises for the baker for a job well done.
Back at her table, Yvonne was enjoying her treat when she heard something that pricked her ears.
"Princess Felicia must get this for her birthday celebration as well." Glennise muttered to herself as she gobbled the last piece of the cupcake.
'What did she just say!?' Yvonne's bafflement was thankfully not seen on her face as she stared at the other girl with curious eyes.
Glennise had noticed the amethyst eyes on her which made her glance at them with a smile.
"After all, all of these desserts were ordered by the King for Princess Felicia's birthday celebration." She revealed with a carefree smile as she pointed at the shelves filled with desserts.
'So I had to sacrifice my dessert and had to go through everything because the precious princess had a sweet tooth!?' The silent grit of her teeth was not heard under the praises that the baker was receiving on the other side of the store.
