Chapter 460 - Little Miss's Birthday

As the sun's rays brightened the sky, everyone in the Valente household was busy rushing around.

There was enthusiasm and excitement on everyone's faces and why wouldn't it be present?

After all, today was the little miss's birthday and everyone had a task to complete before she could wake up on this fine day.

Raylene and Trisha were in the Kitchen, watching over the preparations of Yvonne's birthday breakfast.

The three boys were seeking refuge in their bedrooms as they tried to keep their presents a secret from the other.

Finally, Rutherford and Marcus were waiting for the little girl to wake up so that they might be the first to wish her.

However, this right was already snatched away from them as right at this moment, Mrs. Jacinth and Roselie were standing before their Young Miss who had just woken up.

"Happy birthday, Young Miss." The two maids echoed their greeting to the little girl who was rubbing her drowsy eyes.

Yvonne smiled at the two who had wide smiles on their faces and nodded in acceptance of their wishes.

"Thank you, Nanny and Roselie." She added and stretched out her hand so that she might be carried.

Mrs. Jacinth stepped forward to pick her up and the three headed in the direction of the bathroom to get her started for this big day.

When the other servants were informed that the Miss had woken up, everyone began rushing to complete their tasks before she could make her appearance.

After hearing this news, the rest of the family rushed to the dining hall where they would wait for the birthday girl to arrive.

In her bedroom, Yvonne glanced at the mirror and smiled at the pretty dress that her mother had prepared for her.

A sky blue dress that reached her ankles with cute black pumps was her attire for the day.

Her hair was tied into a long ponytail that reached her hips and the ends curled to form tiny ringlets.

'I seem to have grown taller by a couple of inches.' The little girl assessed herself in the mirror.

Along with a growth in her height, her cheeks had gotten fuller as well.

All the exercise she was doing was causing her to lose belly fat but the chubby cheeks continued to remain the same.

'They should change as I grow older, I guess.' She rubbed her chin as the face she had seen in her 'vision' from the deleted scenes proved that she would grow into an S-grade beauty.

Yes, S-grade was most certainly higher than an A-grade which meant that she would grow into an exceptional beauty once she hits puberty.

'Not to mention that Yvonne in the deleted scenes was tall!' She rejoiced as being tall was one of the things she prided in, in her last life.

After all, she was once a supermodel who ruled the ramps she walked until she had to retire and take over her Grandpa Leo's company.

The nanny and maid who were watching her cupping her cheeks as she stared at the mirror, giggled as this was a cute sight for them to behold.

Their giggles brought the little girl out of her thoughts as she blushed for they had caught her staring at herself, assessing her appearance.

"Miss is already six years old now." Mrs. Jacinth smiled while adjusting the collar of the pretty dress that her Miss had worn today.

She had watched this little girl grow each day from the moment she had been born.

Therefore, the pride she felt that she had been given the opportunity to watch her grow up was immense at this moment.

Though Roselie had only begun serving the Miss recently, she too felt grateful for being given this privilege of working for her.

Yvonne smiled at them through the reflection of the mirror before she glanced at her face one last time.

Satisfied with the way she appeared today, the little girl was ready to meet her family and enjoy the rest of the day with them.

The two maids led the little girl to the dining hall where the Butler stood waiting for them.

Bowing to wish her, he opened the doors and announced her arrival.

There was absolute silence the moment Yvonne entered the room.

Her eyes scanned her surroundings and found everyone present as they looked at her with excitement evident in their eyes.

"Good morning." She curtsied while greeting them which woke them up from their daze.

Just now, when Yvonne had entered the room, she appeared adorable with her new dress which contrasted her dark hair color.

Paying attention to her now, Rutherford realized that she had grown a couple of inches taller.

This discovery brought joy as well as sadness to the doting father.

While he was happy that his daughter was growing up in good health, at the same time, he was sad that she was growing up too soon.

No father wanted his daughter to grow old enough that she would not need to depend on him any longer.

This was what Rutherford was fretting about right now.

In a decade or so, Yvonne would no longer seek him as she would have another man whom she would look for if she ever needed something.

This thought was causing the Earl to sulk as this was inevitable no matter how much he longed for her to stay with him all his life.

If Yvonne were to hear his thoughts then she would have readily agreed as she would very much rather stay with the St. Claires for the rest of her life than getting married to someone who had a different woman in his heart.

However, she did not have such supernatural powers which might allow her to read his thoughts.

Therefore, she stood with a smile before heading towards the table to occupy her seat.

Immediately, everyone shouted out their birthday wishes for her which made her giggle.

The ladies then signaled the Butler who nodded and clapped his hands, bringing in a long line of servants with trays in their hands.

The trays were placed on the table and as soon as the cloches covering the dishes were lifted, Yvonne's face brightened.

Before her eyes were every single dish that she loved to eat for breakfast.

Trisha and Raylene had made sure that her favorites were the only thing on the menu for the entire day.

This was her special day and everything should go according to her liking.

"Your Aunt worked hard to get everything prepared according to your preferences, Vonny." Raylene revealed, making the little girl turn towards her aunt.

Trisha blushed and her heart melted when she saw the radiant smile on Yvonne's face.

'Butler Powell would always prepare the same for me.' She recalled her Grandpa Leo's Butler in her previous life who made sure of this every birthday that she was with them.

This memory only made her appreciate what Trisha Valente had done for her today.

"Thank you, Aunt! Vonny loves it!" She exclaimed in a childish voice, proving that she was truly grateful for this gesture.

After saying this, the little girl did not waste her time as she devoured the meal before her.

Not wanting to disturb her, the rest of the family ate in silence while waiting for the perfect moment to bring out their present for her.

Meanwhile, Marcus was sulking as Yvonne had expressed her appreciation for Trisha's gift which amplified the pressure on him.

'Will she like mine?' He wondered and surprisingly, many of the others had the same thought in their minds.

As this nervous silence prevailed, Yvonne enjoyed her breakfast, oblivious to what was going on through their minds.

Once breakfast came to an end, the rest of the family was ready with the presents that they had prepared for her.

Since Butler Limo was not present, another male servant had taken up the responsibilities in his place and the duty of bringing their gifts to this room was handed to him.

He had to take the help of two other maids to bring in everyone's presents for their Miss.

Once the plates were cleared, he placed them on the table and soon withdrew.

On the other hand, the Valente family did not bring out any presents which made Rutherford shoot a gloating glance at his brother-in-law before looking away.

'You were waiting to see me fail, weren't you!?' Marcus glowered in his heart after witnessing this but he soon smirked as he would see that gloating face turn pale once he revealed his present.
