Xi Jian appeared at her room when it was already late afternoon. To her surprise, he was no longer in a patient's attire, but in a full suit.

"Sorry ..." He kissed Ling Yue's cheek once he was next to her. "I think that Huang will be here longer."

"He has a sudden surgery scheduled. You ... are you discharged from here? Are you really okay?"

"I'm fine. What did you do all day?" Xi Jian slipped his fingers in LingYue's hair.

"Nothing much." Ling Yue looked hesitantly. "Uhm ... You're leaving...In that case...can I leave the hospital too? I'm fine. I wanna go home."

"Don't you have to stay longer? Your wound hasn't healed yet." His fingers which spinning the tips of Ling Ling's hair slid to touch the bandages on her arms.

"But I want to go home ..."

"All right, you may go home if your doctor permits." Xi Jian relented. He shifted Ling Yue's body and placed himself next to her.

Ling Yue wanted to say something about her pregnancy, but just as she opened her mouth, Bai Xu appeared after knocking on the door.

"Sorry ... Mr. Xi ..." Bai Xu looked at Xi Jian awry.

"Isn't it over yet?" Xi Jian frowned.

"There is another urgent matter that you need to review now."

"Did something serious happen?" Ling Yue stared at Xi Jian, worried.

"Nah ... nothing. You don't need to worry. I will leave Gan Ji here with you. Just tell him what you need." Xi Jian pressed his lips on hers and then reluctantly step outside.

It has been almost a week since Ling Yue returned home, but Xi Jian rarely going home. Although he still maintained communication with Ling Yue every day through phone calls, chats or video calls, Ling Yue missed him.

She felt bored at home, besides, Xi Jian put her under tight guard even if she just wanted to take a walk in the park. And to her grief, she had no chance to tell Xi Jian her pregnancy directly.

Ling Yue sighed. He opened the porch window and overheard Gan Ji talking on the phone.

"Oh ... has he been transferred? Thank you ... yes ... just let me know if there is anything ... please take care of Zou Ci until he recovers ..." Gan Ji hung up the phone. He almost jumped when he saw Ling Yue on the porch next to him.

"Gan Ji!" Ling Yue set her eyes with a radiant smile.

"Ye ... yes ma'am?"

"Let's get out!"

Ling Yue didn't give him a chance to refuse. She quickly dragged Gan Ji to the exit and asked him to drive to the hospital where Zou Ci was being treated.

The first thing Ling Yue saw when entering the room was the man name Zou Ci who has dreamy face staring out the window. He looked somewhat thinner compared to the last time Ling Yue saw him.

"Good morning Mr. Zou!" Ling Yue greeted him.

Zou Ci turned his head slowly. His eyes flickered when he saw Ling Yue. His facial expression looks both relieved and worried. He hurried off the bed.

"Whoaaa what are you doing? Just stay at your place, Mr. Zou!" Ling Yue slightly ran over and held his shoulders.

"Madam! It's you! How are you? Are you all right? How about your wound?"

After making sure Zou Ci would not move from his place, Ling Yue sat in the chair provided by Gan Ji.

"As you can see, I'm super fine!" Ling Yue raised her arms, the bandage had been removed, although the wound still left ugly marks, her condition had greatly improved. The wound on her face still left a slight bruise but Ling Yue could cover it with a foundation and concealer.

They talked for a long time. Ling Yue told him what had happened to him since she and Zou Ci separated. Her younger brother, Ling Huansheng and her father visited the next day after Ling Huang. But she still could not contact Ling Feng.

Zou Ci repeatedly apologized to her for failing to protect her and Ling Yue refused his apology for the umpteenth time.

"Oh come on, just forget about it. You better concentrate on your health so you can get back to work."

Zou Ci looked at Gan Ji. "I'm not fired?"

"Huh?" Ling Yue turned to look at Gan Ji.

Gan Ji scratched his head. "Well, the boss did not specifically fire you, but he clearly said 'he was released for an indefinite time'."

"I'll talk to Xi Jian." Ling Yue tried to melt the atmosphere that was suddenly turn gloomy. "Besides, if it wasn't for you, Xi Jian wouldn't be able to find me right? He should be grateful. Thanks to you, I and my future baby could be found sooner."

"Hah ...?"

"What...?"

The two Xi Jian guards looked at each other in horror.

"Ow shiitttt! I am gonna die!" Zou Ci holds his head with both hands. He lay down and pulled the blanket over his entire body.

"Ma'am ... we should immediately go home to avoid things that are not desirable." Gan Ji nervously held Ling Yue's hand carefully as he helped her up.

"Why? I still wanna stay here." Ling Yue didn't want to back at home yet.

"Uhmm...Ma'am, can I ask you something?" Gan Ji smiling nervously. "Did boss, I mean Mr.Xi...knows your condition?"

"No...I wanna tell him directly, but there is no time."

Zou Ci peeked from his blanket. "I didn't hear anything Ma'am. Right Gan Ji?"

"Oh, Me too! We are really happy to hear that and sincerely congratulate you. But I'm sorry to say this. Please act like you never mention it in front of us Ma'am. We will pretend we didn't hear it too." Gan Ji bowed his head.

Ling Yue stared at these two. They definitely freaking out for something. She glanced at Gan Ji. "Is that because I'm telling you first before Xi Jian? right?"

Gan Ji flinched and Zou Ci covered his act with coughs.
